The food was prepared by the Inn's new chef, who did a great job with our tapas menu. We had smoked salmon and capers, crostini with assorted toppings, Italian meatballs, cheese puffs and steak skewers. It was all absolutely wonderful and I enjoyed every bite. The place itself was very elegant, with expansive views of the river and the park. We saw an incredible sunset from our table that was simply breathtaking. River Hall is available for private events and would be perfect for small parties or receptions. I hope to attend more events here in the future.

I understand issues happen, but missed commitments and lack of verification made this far harder than it should have been. I would be cautious booking unless you're fully comfortable with the iffy refund terms and the risk of having to escalate to your card company.

Crosstown Arts is a free gallery within the Concourse that features temporary exhibits. When we visited, we were blown away by an exhibit: "Give a Damn! Music + Activism at Stax Records." The exhibit featured artifacts (including Isaac Hayes's office desk and outfits worn on stage by Stax artists like Johnnie Taylor and Isaac Hayes), music, rare photos, and original artwork created by Shelby County middle school students. It was interesting and of great local interest! A very well laid out exhibit. If we lived in Memphis, I'd certainly make it a point to read up about their exhibits as they open and to visit any of those that interested me! Wonderful visit!

The event started with a documenary about Divine Records, a local Gospel recording company. Performances by Elder Jack Ward and Elizabeth King followed. Both artist displayed tremendous range and stamina during their time on stage, with the audiance on their feet during most of the evening. It was a wonderful concert at a great venue. Be sure to see and support these Gospel legends whenever you are able.

And trust: they do just walk through and enter the building. This is downtown! The grounds and hallways are filthy: I'm starting to believe that's how she keeps her own home and thinks it's acceptable for others. It's not! It's nasty. Kids run through and drop their juices and things so that just attracts flies & summer is here.. trust: flies will be too. The gates for parking are now NEVER locked. It's as if she is just inviting the robbers in, and all she had to say in response to the several car break in's are: "it happens every where". The regional manager has disappointed me and has yet to act on the complaints and behalf of the tenants. Kindly asking that THIS review is seen and acted upon in the correct fashion, OR I will be forced to complain to the people that care. I feel as if this place is turning into pepper tree and it's sad because it started off so nicely. Fix your property management OR fix the issues, expeditiously. LITERALLY a property DEPENDS on GREAT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. Manage the property, or go manage something of lesser value. Repairs do not get completed over here. Your car or apartment are not safe here. And the grounds are starting to look so raggedy, it's depressing. The hallways and grounds are dirty.
