    Avocado toast

What can I say?? Excellent, high-quality food served in a very comfy, cozy atmosphere. We loved our big booth with cushions. The coffee was perfect. Like all the best coffee places, they had heavy whipping cream available behind the counter. Very clean restroom, large portions, prices in line with similar places, very friendly and accommodating staff. I'm not much for avocado toast but my wife LOVED hers, which looked spectacular. She could only finish half, after the unbeatable chocolate croissant . For my part, I had a great breakfast burrito with pulled pork, and a blueberry-lemon scone to start. Wish I had pastry pictures, but they were gone shortly after we sat down. Had the scone warmed up which was perfection. So comfortable inside we didn't want to leave. We may have to move in!!

I love this place. 10/10 food, avocado toast and breakfast burrito are delicious. 10/10 coffee, have come back time and time again. Finally, the workers are all extremely kind and the service is unbeatable. Very homey vibe I could sit at for hours.

Best cozy morning coffee shop ... small town feel. Seating that feels like home. Well rounded menu.

Super cute spot in the middle of nowhere. Food was good and service was phenomenal. The bacon and pastries were sooo good here.

Relaxed yet comfortable vibe -- many different seating options!

I had the special (not on the menu, don't remember the name) Pork strips, mushroom gravy, spaetzle and a salad. Salad was interestingly unique with lettuce, carrots, warm cooked potatoe chunks, vinegar and oil dressing. Pretty tasty non breaded pork was tender, mushroom gravy had a nice salty ness to it, spaetzle was soft chewy porous egg pasta though tasteless by itself, good with the gravy mixed in. Mrs had the Hunter's Schnitzel. Essentially the same as my meal with a pounded, breaded thin pork patty. This was good with a fried crunch. Beer and wine served (Trumer German style Pilsner), couple of the owners friendly old dogs wandering around the bar seating, like eating at Grandma's house. Menu changes up often with breakfast, Burgers & Beer, Taco Tuesday. Fun place.

Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment, although the service was excellent. I ordered the biscuits and gravy (thankfully, just the small portion). The gravy tasted as though it was made primarily with flour, butter, and water, lacking the rich, creamy flavor I expect from good country gravy. The sausage didn't really taste like sausage and was broken into tiny, almost crumb-like pieces that added very little flavor or texture. My breakfast companion also ordered the biscuits and gravy and barely ate it. She added a blueberry pancake, but it contained very few blueberries--just a handful inside and a couple on top. The pancake itself tasted more like it came from a commercial mix than from scratch. The maple syrup also had an unusual flavor that neither of us enjoyed. On the positive side, the hot spicy cinnamon tea was absolutely delicious, and our server was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service. I always hate leaving a negative review because I know restaurants work hard. I hope this was simply an off day in the kitchen, but based on our experience, the food did not live up to its reputation.

Happy Easter everyone!…read more Today, my daughter and I went out to breakfast here at Sweetpeas. It is located off the freeway on the corner of Bowman and Luther roads. There was plenty of parking when we pulled in. As you walk in, you seat yourself. I hadn't been here before, but my daughter has. When we sat down (table and chairs kinda place), one server got us a couple of waters while we were looking over the menu.. perfect, because that's what we love to drink. After we decided on what we wanted I got a chance to look around at the decor on the walls. It felt very family friendly with baby pictures on the walls, signs, coffee mugs along the restaurants name spelled out on the wall. It was very cute and cozy. My daughter ordered the Carnitas Omelet (Carnitas omelet with jack cheese, black beans, red onions, avocado, and black olives, topped with sour cream. Served with sourdough toast and fresh fruit) with strawberries. I ordered the Huevos Ranchero's with eggs over medium (Corn tortillas, refried beans, 2 eggs, sour cream, avocado, homemade salsa, and cheese cheese. Also served with a side of salsa.) We didn't wait long, it arrived within 10 minutes. Also, after smelling their delicious coffee, I had to have a cup! A+!!!! My daughter let me try her Carnitas Omelet. Their Carnitas is on point! It was tender and has great flavor! Her omelet was beautifully cooked, being that it was gorgeous, yellow and fluffy. My Huevos Ranchero's was crispy in the bottom as I requested. I love the topping of avocado. The only thing I would change is to get all the salsa on the side. There was quite a bit on the Huevos Ranchero's themselves and it was a little overwhelming. Next time, I'll order it completely on the side. The menu has it listed as homemade... it tasted a little bit like it was Pace chunky salsa. I didn't even touch the side of salsa that also comes in the side and I wasn't sure what the extra side of tortillas was for, but I took those home. My daughter took home about half of her 3 egg omelet and some toast. Maddy was a great server. Everyone helped each other out by doing coffee refills for all tables (not just their own), running out hot food, and helping clean up tables as people finished their plates. Great team work! We paid up in the front and we're on our way. BE SURE TO TIP YOUR SERVER FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORK!
