OMG the breakfast biscuit sandwich is AMAZING. The latte I ordered was so delicious. There's the cutest patio and balcony seating, and wonderfully air conditioned indoor seating as well. Very neat place with yummy things.

I've always wanted to try this place out because I've seen so much about it! A bunch of my friends have come here to take cute pics and have a nice little brunch and honestly I was excited to come in and it didn't disappoint! I got the biscuit breakfast sandwich along with a brown sugar latte and they were delicious. I loved the lemon in the sandwich u could really taste everything. The biscuit is also homemade which is super cool. The coffee wasn't too bad either, and I'm pretty sure they use house made syrup for all of it so that was super tasty. Our food and drinks came out in a pretty reasonable time considering how busy it was, I just wish it was a little cheaper! I would def recommend tho :)

Stopped by for a quick lunch with friends. It wasn't super busy inside and we were helped quickly. I got the grilled cheese with a chai latte with oat milk. We sat on the third floor, which was super cool with lots of natural light and comfortable sitting arrangements. When the waiter brought us our food, I was pleasantly surprised at how it turned out! The grilled cheese really is an upscale version of the childhood grilled cheese, with better bread and cheese. It was super crispy and delicious. I added the microgreens on the plate to the inside of it, which added a little bit of crunch I enjoyed. I think it could have used a tomato slice to add some acidity, but overall, this was fantastic and I'll definitely be back.

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Auburn. I go there before a long hike or afterward for a treat. I like the downstairs and upstairs areas, and you can also sit outside. There's always interesting food; I got the lavender muffin and a yummy tea. Definitely check it out in Auburn! It gets very busy on weekends, so I make sure to get there early.

Recently came back to Pour Choice with some friends after a hike in Auburn. This spot is still so adorable and I definitely understand why it is so popular. This time around I ordered their grilled cheese with bacon which was delicious. The bread was buttery, crispy, and perfectly toasted. The cheese and bacon went together perfectly and I found it pretty filling as a breakfast sandwich. I also got their version of an Arnold Palmer and it was refreshing and light. The first time I came I sat inside but this time we sat on the second level outside. It was super nice and lovely sitting outside in their beautiful patio area. I didn't realize there are three levels here, first level is indoors, second is outdoors, and third is both. The staff were nice and helpful even though it was super busy.

I had a nice time at The Pour Choice. My friends and I stopped by after a hike out in Auburn. The line was long, but it really wasn't a long wait! You order your food at the register and they give you a number for food and call out your name for drinks. We sat down and within 10 minutes we all had our food. I got the breakfast wrap and it was very good! I also tried their selection of lemon kombucha which was also delicious. I would recommend stopping by. They don't just have breakfast! I really want to come back and try their grilled cheese.

Try it Folks... I got the American and overnight oats with peach cobbler topping.. WOW..

I drive I-80 to Reno a couple of times each month and enjoy exploring different coffee shops along the way. Stopping at The Pour Choice was easily one of my best finds. I loved the entire experience--from the friendly customer service and welcoming ambiance to the great menu offerings. A five-star stop with a fantastic outdoor atmosphere. I'll definitely be back!

Trendy coffee shop in Old Town Auburn with great drinks and an assortment of lunch options. Stopped by after a hike for some coffee and a snack. We tried their new strawberry syrup in the latte and it was amazing. Not too sweet with great natural strawberry flavor. The deviled eggs were great but only came with one egg for $5 which is a little steep. Overall, seems like a great place for coffee if you live here or stopping by. Staff was super friendly and brought out our eggs for us.

Slow service as everyone comes to this coffee shop. Great views, nice people though. My day trip to Auburn: Pour house, skip the coffee and get the cookie. Their Old Auburn and downtown is full of junk. You can explore their tiny free Gold Rush Museum next to their viral thrift shop Moon Walk thread and grab pizza next door. All walkable! Original Ikeda is walkable but we drove. Prefer the Davis location.

Super friendly. Consistent quality. Ordered a cortado. Oat milk. Barista was spot on. Been here a few times when passing through. Will continue to repeat. Pastries are good too. Highly recommend.

Cozy ambiance, friendly staff: Their latte is pretty good - smooth and without any burnt coffee aftertaste. I had the jalapeño deviled eggs and it was delicious. Dog friendly place with nice indoor and outdoor seating.

    Iced and hot Cortados.

Each time we visit family in Auburn, we make sure to visit Olde Auburn and its many shops, restaurants, and coffee houses. The Pour Choice is one such destination. A setting with wonderful ambiance, service with a smile, and a must visit.

Ask the Community - The Pour Choice

Are you really not wheelchair accessible? I could have sworn last time I was there we saw ramps at least to the outdoor seating area.

There are stairs to get to the front door from one side, and the other. There's a trail from the court parking lot that leads to the outdoor seating area but I wouldn't recommend a wheelchair on that trail.…

Do you offer non alcoholic beer?

This is not a bar. I have purchased lemonade, hot chocolate, if there is such thing as Non Alcohol Beer, that is new to me!

    Can teenagers go in?

There is no age restriction! All ages, all hours!

The only menu on their site is beer. Do they serve food?

Hi Heather! We are working on developing our website to reflect our new menu! We have a large charcuterie board for sharing, baked Brie & hot soft pretzel braids!

Both were standouts, that fig and sherry vinaigrette combination especially. For mains we had the 8oz Flat Iron Steak with chimichurri and fingerling potatoes, the Crispy Pork Belly with its nectarine-ginger shoyu glaze, the Elk Chops with mission fig jus, and the Catch of the Day. Everything came out beautifully composed and full of flavor -- the pork belly glaze in particular was something I'm still thinking about. The cocktail program is worth the trip on its own. Summertime in Bloom (gin, strawberry, basil oil), Peaches & Proof, the Old Fashioned, and the Grapefruit No.4 with yellow Chartreuse and Campari -- all balanced and thoughtfully built, not just sweet. And a special shout-out to our server, Shannon. He was personable, funny, genuinely fun to talk with, and incredibly attentive all night. He made the meal feel like more than just dinner. If you go, ask for his section. Highly recommend!!

This was our first time trying Oakhouse, and unfortunately, it will be our last…read more We started with the bone marrow and tartare appetizer. It was good, but not spectacular. It was definitely under-seasoned and needed salt. We asked for some sea salt, which was brought to us, and that helped bring out the flavors. For my entrée, I ordered the crispy pork belly. I was expecting the pork belly to actually be crispy, but it came covered in a very heavy, rich sauce. There was so much sauce that any crispness the pork belly may have had was completely lost. The rice was fine, but the bok choy was severely undercooked and still hard. My husband ordered the ribeye. The steak itself was cooked very well, and we had no complaints about the preparation of the meat. Unfortunately, it was covered in the same heavy sauce and served directly on top of the risotto. The sauce soaked into the risotto and overwhelmed its flavor. The risotto would have been much better served alongside the steak, where it could have stood on its own. His broccolini was also undercooked and hard. The service was okay overall, but certainly not stellar. The most disappointing interaction came when I tried to address the bok choy. As soon as I mentioned it, our server immediately told me that bok choy doesn't have much flavor. I explained that flavor wasn't the issue--the problem was that it was undercooked. I cut into it in front of her to show her just how hard it still was. Her response was essentially, "Well, what do you want me to do about it?" I then had to ask what my options were and whether I could substitute another vegetable. After going through the choices, I selected asparagus. She did bring it out, and it was hot and properly cooked, which I appreciated. My disappointment wasn't that the vegetable wasn't ultimately replaced; it was the dismissive attitude when I brought up a legitimate issue with the food. A simple acknowledgment and an offer to replace it would have gone a long way. Overall, there were some good elements--the appetizer was decent and the ribeye itself was cooked very well--but both entrées were overwhelmed by the same heavy sauce, both had undercooked vegetables, and the service did little to improve the experience. For the price and our expectations going in, the meal was disappointing. This was our first visit to Oakhouse, and based on the food and the way our concerns were handled, we won't be returning.
