However, the reason why I'm writing this is because I booked a haircut recently on May 22nd at 3:45. I got the text message saying to confirm my appointment like I always receive the day before a haircut. I confirm my haircut appointment message by clicking CONFIRM like I always have. I walk in 10 minutes early to get checked in, only to find out that my name was not on the schedule! And that someone else was booked at the same time I was supposed to get my haircut. The lady at the front desk couldn't provide any information on what went wrong and just said "Oh that's too bad, i'm sorry" "maybe we can get you next week around Thursday, the 29th". I then asked, "Can you see me today as a walk in?" She goes, "Sorry, everyone is booked today" (Acting like I didn't book the haircut on the day I'm supposed to get one). And then, I asked "Who would have canceled the appointment when I have the confirmation on my phone?" She goes, "Looks like someone called and canceled the appointment". To which I was automatically frustrated by that and said "Who called? Because it wasn't me!" Couldn't help me and was a lousy excuse to cancel my appointment without my approval. Disappointed in how downhill this Barrelli has gone. Definitely recommend passing on this Barrelli until they get a new front desk representative replacement or at least somebody that's a little more competent.

Trash. Cut hair on the floor. Cut hair being blown around with the hairdryers. Customers being impacted. Combs - not being cleaned or disinfected. Owner's white combs have dark stains between the "teeth." When dropped on floor not cleaned or disinfected. Disinfecting Jars - not being utilized and do not appear to be cleaned or replenished as the levels are low and nothing is in them to be disinfected. Floors - dirty and stained. Windowsills - dirty. Hair and dust on each level of the aluminum rails. Work Stations - space under the cabinets - dirty - trash - children play items still there for more than 6 weeks. Complete mess. Can no one clean under the cabinets? Football helmets - layer of dust. Likely not cleaned since the Sale. Veteran items - layer of dust and appear to lack attention. I've been going to Ralph since he was over on Reynolds ave in the back of Drifter. He's a little…read morefurther away now for me in James Island, but it's well worth the drive. Ralph keeps a low profile because it's just a single chair and him in the shop. I was on the lookout for a new barber after mine moved and I found him on Instagram. At my first appointment, Ralph got a sense of what I wanted out of my hair/beard and talked about how we would get to that point. He measured parts of my head, took note of cowlicks, and started trimming. He is an old school guy and I appreciate his craft. I knew right away that I had found a new place to go on the regular. If you're looking for a barber who really knows what he's doing with men's cuts and beard trims, definitely book an appointment with Ralph.
