I had a broken industrial door that needed repaired, and a service tech was sent out within hours. He was extremely knowledgeable about the issue, and had it fixed within 30 minutes. So appreciative of such quality, efficient work. Highly Recommended!!! read more

These guys are amazing! One night our front door deadbolt fell apart. The next morning I went to The Lock Shop but they were closed during normal business hours. I called while sitting in the parking lot and reached the owner who was out on an emergency call. I told him of my predicament and he dispatched his sidekick who met me 10 minutes later and offered to follow me home to repair our door lock. The locksmith was courteous, friendly, experienced and professional. He was even able to cut extra keys from inside his work van. Fast and affordable, I highly recommend. read more

I can't say enough about Thomas and the Lock shop. My son was just about to head out for winter break and had an issue with his door lock. I'm in California and was trying to help coordinate everything and Thomas made it very easy. Kept me up to date, was timely and left my son's door in tip top shape. Highly recommended. read more

Bummer to pay $45 for my own inattentiveness, but I remain grateful that within 5 minutes of calling, the locksmith was at the Moscow Co-Op parking lot using his tools of the trade to retrieve my keys from inside my locked car. Quick arrival, efficient service, friendly and professional interaction. Hoping I never call again, but if needed, this is who I'll phone. read more

Best place around the area to get a key made! After losing my car key for my 1996 Acura I called around for prices to get it replaced. Everyone else told me it would be at least $200 but Gary was able to give me options and I was able to get two keys from him for $30. Excellent service, and very fast. Highly recommend them. Even with only one locksmith working there, they were able to take care of everything. Thanks! read more

DO NOT!! GO here. I am an Attorney at Law. And this guy messed with the wrong person. I Literally paid Thomas, a month ago. My USAA credit card transaction shows it. Yesterday my wife checked the mail and told me that I should pay my bill. I told her I thought I had. I checked my USAA Bank Credit card history and there it was. I was billed by the Lock Shop North. I called Thomas that night (last night) and he did not respond. I called him tonight and I got a "hello" from a guy from the lock shop. He answered "lock shop after hours". I asked him, "who is this" and he hung up on me. I then texted him, that I was an Attorney at Law and that his billing practices were unethical and I was going to leave bad reviews and contact the Idaho Sec of State. He then texted me, and said that billing questions were for business hours. This is unacceptable. I have a 400k house, and my privacy means the most to me. When I hire a lock smith to come do my lock, I expect the most professional services. LOCKS=SAFETY. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE, WHEN I ACCUSE THE BUSINESS OF RIPPING ME OFF. As a lawyer I have an ethical duty to make sure that Thomas did not overbill others, for as long as he has been in business. This guy F'ed with the wrong Lawyer. read more

I made an appointment several days in advance with Thomas at the Lock Shop to rekey the locks on our house based on the stellar reviews he had on Yelp and Google. I did not receive anything close to the same level of service. He did not show up at the scheduled time, so I called him to find out if he was running late. His response was "nope, we no longer have an appointment" because he was busy on another job. He didn't apologize or acknowledge the inconvenience. I will not call the Lock Shop the next time I need keys. read more

Started in 1973, The Lock Shop of North Idaho Inc. Has always been a family owned business, with an emphasis on serving our community with quality locksmith services.

Meet the Business Owner: Thomas L.

Current LockShop owner Thomas has lived in Moscow since 1980, He started working on doors and locks professionally in 2008. He spent time as an apprentice under 30-year CML (Certified-Master-LockSmith) Gary Crabtree. Thomas attended locksmith school in Reno Nevada and is a Nationally Recognized member of ALOA (Associated Locksmiths of America).

I was dealing with an emergency lock issue in Pullman Wa, so I decided to call the Pullman Locksmith to see if there was ANYTHING they could do for us, we were impatiently brushed off and told the earliest was the next morning... which we couldn't wait because that would mean leaving our business unlocked during the night... the employee recommended I "call someone else" if I needed someone sooner. I called the Lock Shop in Moscow and I am so happy I did... the gentleman who answered was extremely helpful and accommodating, even though he had a full schedule he understood the bind we were in and offered to work us in ASAP. AWESOME! These guys have the fancy machine that programs chip keys! Saved me a drive to the Subaru dealer in Lewiston, and $$$. Darcy(the girl that works there) had it done in 10 minutes in the parking lot there. I bought the chip key online and neither Ace or Moscow building supply had the right machines to make the chip key work(they have run of the mill cloner machines, I did my research) THANK YOU! read more

Bought a car with a bike rack on the back. Previous owners didn't have the key.Couldn't access my spare tire because of the bike rack. The Lock Shop called me back promptly, employees were busy but very kind. They squeezed me in right away. Best part, I'm still able to use the bike rack and access the tire! read more

Fact: Sometimes I buy keys I don't really need just to watch how fast this guy makes them. Oh, and they ALWAYS WORK, which is much more than I can say for anywhere else I've ever gotten keys duplicated. read more
