Had lunch there today as we have many times in the past. always excellent food and service! as we…read moreentered by the hostess you could hear someone laughing so loud it was more of a cackle than a laugh and very startling. as we were seated this obnoxious very loud laughter continued and we realized it was coming from the bar maid. People at other tables were looking, talking about her and chuckling softly. A manager was in and out of the room each time we were hoping he would say something. unfortunately he did not. it really put a damper on our visit and it was difficult to have a conversation. So sad of this experience. P. Mount

Our dining experience at Blue Heron was good! The food was timely and tasty, ambiance was…read morecomfortable, and management is especially proficient. The only barrier from a five star review came in the form of one waiter with a receding hairline and starter studs, who asked for certain IDs when our table was ordering drinks based on subjectivity and looks. An insensitive comment was made to myself and my friend; he said "She doesn't look young, but SHE does" A bit after me not being able to provide ID because I did not have my wallet, he proceeded to accuse me of sipping someone else's drink and threatened to take it away. Upon backlash from our table, he remarked that someone had been watching me to make sure I hadn't sipped any drinks. This made me extremely uncomfortable, like I was being watched. I don't believe any of this waiter's behavior is a good standard of conduct as far as professionalism. I have never had a problem with trying others' drinks at restaurants. Regardless, I Am 21, so there was not a real issue in the first place. Once management got involved, the situation was diffused immediately and we received abundant compensation for the bother, like free drinks and an extra entree to take home! Everyone (except hairline) was super sweet and accommodating. So, in conclusion, this place is awesome as long as you have your ID (or you look "old enough"!)

I had the most wonderful experience at Via Roma! From the moment we walked in, the restaurant was…read morespotless and welcoming, and every detail from the hostess to the managers showed a high level of professionalism and personal touch. Our server, Alecia, was absolutely top tier! She was super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about all things Via Roma. I had originally looked over the menu online, but thanks to her salesmanship, we completely changed course and I'm soooo glad we did! She recommended the fritto misto to start, which was phenomenal. The house-made focaccia bread was perfectly baked and full of flavor. My dad, visiting from California, ordered the veal tortellini which was super flavorful and honestly something I would've ordered myself. I went with the Parmigiano with chicken, which was to die for! The chicken was perfectly breaded and bursting with flavor. My son had the braised short ribs, and the creamy polenta they came with was hands down one of the best I've ever tasted! I literally couldn't resist stealing bites! The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and the cocktails were fantastic! Via Roma is truly a hidden gem. I'd recommend it to anyone...whether you've been before and need to revisit the new menu, or if it's your first time, this place is worth it. Can't wait to go back and hang out at the Grotto, their speakeasy!!! Everything was perfect, start to finish!

We just ordered appetizers, but every appetizer we ordered was fantastic. We ordered meatballs and arancini. The place was decorated for Christmas. It was beautiful, classy, and fun. I will definitely be going back to enjoy some of the other delicious menu options. They also have great wine and cocktails.
