I was disappointed with the Brow design service I got from Natalie. The service was overpriced and she did not really help with shaping them. I was not sure what shape suits my face and she also did not come up with ang ideas. I told her I'm struggling with how my brows look and how I dislike them and gave her some pointers on how I prefer thick and not super arched but all she did was minimally clean and then used a lot of oil and gel to make it look ok for that one time but did absolutely nothing to shape. I got a facial here. The place is super cute and my skin feels amazing the next day. However, facials are done in the same open area as all other services - so lots of noise. It wasn't the calming spa experience I expected. Also, wearing a dress was a mistake. To get my neck and chest, I had to undress fully. They provided a bathroom to change and a towel, but it felt a bit awkward given the open concept. From the moment you walk in and meet Katie at the check-in/merchandise area to the moment you are conscious again after your dreamy treatment, this whole entire experience is above and beyond. Everyone is SO nice. And not because they want you to buy something, but because they believe in self-love and want the best for you. I've had my share of facial treatments and spa days, but this was on point for price and was one of the most relaxing treatments I've had. I came to Baltimore for a few months from California and was happy to find the loft as I'm a regular at getting lash extensions, and it is important to me to find a place that I want to keep going back to. The loft itself is super cute, and they offer a lot of different services. The staff is also really sweet so I was really happy with that. I originally started seeing Megan, who was amazing she did exactly what I asked for and her retention is really good (2.5/3 weeks). I went in one day and Megan was unavailable so the owner performed a lash fill and it was highly unpleasant. She didn't introduce her self or say hi, she seemed very rushed and just not friendly. As she was doing the fill, I had to ask her to pause multiple times because my eyes started burning/ watering and then I eventually had to ask if we could take a break, so I could dry my eyes with a tissue. I've been getting my lashes done for years and have never experienced that, it was extremely unpleasant and painful. She also seemed really annoyed by the fact that I kept asking her to stop. At the end of the fill, I had to ask for her name, because she just never introduced herself. The fill I booked was for 60 minutes, and she finished the fill in 22 minutes. As mentioned earlier I've been getting my lashes done for years, and I know that the faster it takes to perform the lashes the more likely they will fall out. When I went to check out and pay, I voiced my concern at the front desk regarding the lash tech and was extremely shocked to find out that it was the owner. The receptionist was nice enough to not charge me for the full 60 minutes, since the fill only took 22 minutes. She instead charged me for a 30 minute fill. I was back a week later because majority of the eyelashes had fallen out. Seeing I had come back within a week, I booked another fill, and the next technician that worked on my lashes said that I should've booked a full set, as there was no retention and most of the lashes didn't look good. When I went to pay, they didn't charge me for that set because I explained what had happened. So I really do appreciate the customer service in that aspect, and I felt like the staff was really friendly. I was just really disappointed that I had put a lot of money in this business and the owner seemed pretty unprofessional and not very friendly, which put a really sour taste in my mouth. The last thing I would like to note- whatever lashes they were using, they did not look real, they looked really fake. That's just a personal preference, but I just really did not like whatever lash they were using. read more

I gave a low score because one of my lids was swolen after the lash curl, I have a scab under one of my eyebrow and one lid has great looking eyelashes whereas the other didn't have any curl. I've had two lash lift and tint appointments and one accidental brow design done as well (more on that later...) I used to get lash extensions when I lived in LA, but unfortunately couldn't find anyone who had quite as high the quality, but at an affordable rate here in Baltimore. To be honest, I still haven't found anything. So in looking for cheaper options, I started exploring lash lifts, since they are a bit less maintenance than extensions and also way cheaper and less frequent. I absolutely LOVED my first experience here. I had originally signed up for semi-permanent mascara, but after my technician explained the differences to me, we decided the tint was the way to go given my upcoming vacation plans. I've since come back for a second lash lift and tint and while there I inquired about henna services for your brows. She said she would give me an idea of it utilizing a pencil if I'd like and I said sure! My brows looked phenomenal and she cleaned them up a bit, even though I had had a threading appointment (somewhere else) recently. When I went to check out, I ended up getting charged for a full-on brow design, which is $45. Though overpriced in my opinion, I get why it's that much, but I was definitely not expecting to have to pay that when she literally worked on my brows for less than 10 minutes. At the end of the day, I didn't object because it was a packed Saturday and my brows looked good so I did not want to complain and make a scene. I visited here four times - the first two times were great - the tech Autumn did an amazing job and the lashes stayed put for weeks. Unfortunately the third time the lashes fell out within a few days. When I returned only the same tech (not autumn) was avail so I decided to give it another try explaining the issues I had with the previous visit - comment "well I hope they stay on for you this time" and needless to say they did not. Over $100 is too much to spend to have the lashes drop off onto your cheeks within days leaving you with sparse straggly lashes. Disappointing. The location is beautiful - the overall service is good, but you need to ensure that all of your techs are able to do the job. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The interior is cute and the staff is pretty nice, but my lashes were so damaged after my lash lift. Not only were they fried but literally my lashes looked CUT and had blunt ends from the chemical damage. They offered me a refund, a session to condition my lashes, and my next booking to be complementary, which is why I gave them 2 stars. I did not take them up on the offer to have them conditioned or to have my next booking free because they already ruined my lashes, and it's hard to trust a place that caused that much damage. Why would they let someone who's not qualified even do lash lifts? It's been a little over a month now, and you can see that my lashes are still messed up and struggling. My eyelashes used to be long, and now they're just ugly, uneven, and damaged. I didn't want to write a review, but I'm just so disappointed, and the long-term damage sucks so bad. 1st photo is the day I went home after my lift. 2nd photo is 1 month later, and you can see how even my lashes are growing in. If I could have gotten the photo to focus better, you could see some of my lashes being wavy due to the chemical damage. If you're going to book a lash lift, I suggest you probably call ahead and see if your artist has experience or something. read more
