I am a new resident and I enjoy living here at The Lofts at West 7th. The property is very nice, it has a great workout room, and the walk ability to restaurants / bars is fantastic. This property has a nice pool area and I am definitely looking forward to cooling off after work this summer. Lastly the property management staff are professional, friendly and they are attentive to your needs. I recommend living at The Lofts at West 7th and ask for Alan or Shelley. We lived here for over two years and unfortunately would not recommend it. While we did not personally experience the pest issues mentioned in some other reviews, we did have ongoing concerns with management and maintenance. Shelley was always pleasant and helpful, but our experiences with Alan were consistently disappointing. He appeared much more attentive to prospective tenants than to current residents. One of our biggest concerns was privacy and security. There were multiple occasions where someone entered our apartment without proper notice or permission. We only became aware because we had indoor cameras. That alone made us extremely uncomfortable and was one of the primary reasons we decided to move out. Security around the property is also a major issue. The exterior doors often do not stay locked, and homeless individuals frequently enter the building and sleep or stay in storage areas. There has been human feces inside two storage units near our former apartment for well over a year, and it still has not been addressed. We genuinely hoped this would be a long-term home for us, but there are significant issues that management needs to take more seriously. My neighbor passed away and nobody found him for a week or 2 weeks. The hallway REAKED and the door was left taped together for over a month from when the police had to kick it in. Nobody checked on any of my neighbors or offered to clean our air. It was coming in through the vents!!!!!!!! My son would throw up because of the smell. DISGUSTING. Treats their tenants like shit and would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I am redoing my original review. Sometimes in situations someone can truly turn things around. The process of moving into another apartment at the lofts started out bad. Then it was completely saved by Kellie. Let me tell you she not only reached out to me immediately but was very open with communication. She also took the time to meet with me and my wife and really calm our fears and reassure that our apartment would look beautiful. She truly reminded me that there is still great customer service out there. Thank you Kellie I appreciate everything you did and are doing for us. read more

Asked maintenance to clean the hallway twice and they did nothing and closed my tickets SO I had to mop the hallway myself. Then a resident moved out and drug brown liquid through the whole hall, maintenance again has done nothing and gave me attitude when I asked if they could complete my request to clean the hallway before closing my tickets. BROKEN AC - HOT AS HELL AND GASLIT I live in the west building and have submitted multiple maintenance requests to fix our AC. When it first broke, I noticed that there was a weird sound and the temperature was noticeably higher than usual - I immediately submitted a maintenance request on August 25th. I have now submitted over 5 maintenance requests over a time span of over a month. Because my roommate and I are both medical students, we leave early in the morning and come back late, meaning there is absolutely no reason our electricity bill should be that high for an empty unit most of the time. Our previous electricity bill close to $300 and that is unbelievable for two people who do not touch the thermostat and just leave it at 76 or even 78 degrees to save money. It is actually ridiculous we had to spend that much just to sweat inside for a unit that showed that it was 80 degrees inside. To me, this is actually crazy because I usually do not mind the unit being a little warmer and do not care about having it cold. In addition, that means I am not able to talk to the maintenance staff when they are there to fix it. However, one time, I was home when they came, and I explained the situation and how they have only temporarily fixed the issue. Unfortunately for me, the staff told me that I did not know how to set the thermostat and that it would be cooler in a couple of hours after he set the thermostat. To my disbelief, the AC still did not work after and I had to put in more maintenance requests. This is my second year living in this unit, and I would believe that I would know when the AC unit is not working and how to work my thermostat. Cherry on top, my roommate and I were finally free the past Saturday and complained in person to the front office. He listened and was apologetic and promised to send the head maintenance, who was not here for the weekend, to come on Monday to check out the issue and actually fix it. Now, it is the following Wednesday and they have not sent anyone. Imagine my irritation when it is over 100 degrees outside and I come back to an apartment that is supposed to be running at 74 degrees but it is at 80. Imagine my irritation when I submit a maintenance request to fix it, and it only fixes for about two days until it is broken again. Imagine my irritation when we receive our electricity bill of over $200 for a unit that had us hot and sweaty for the past month. Imagine my irritation when I complain in person and they promise to stop putting a bandaid on this issue and I have yet to see a fix. You will find below pictures I have taken of our thermostat that is set at 74 or 76 degrees but it shows that the temperature inside is around 80. You should know that I have multiple pictures over a time span of over a month and I have the the pictures with a timestamp on my phone. It is actually ridiculous that I have a photo album on my phone called broken AC with 8 pictures of our thermostat. I did not even start taking pictures until later, but my first picture is from September 8th. I have also attached a picture of our electricity bill for last month. The only way me and my roommate have been surviving is through running the fans in our respective rooms. I expect a solution to this issue and I am posting this as an apartment review everywhere I am able to. read more

put in a maintenance request to clean the floors in the hallway after a week of not picking up after their construction. they closed my ticket and marked it as completed when nothing was done. I put in a new ticket, emailed, called and went down to the office and still nothing was done. I had to mop the hallway myself. read more

Where do I start management is amazing, reliable and quick. Personally Jessica is awesome and always takes care of us, annie the manager is amazing if any issues need to be fix she's always quick, Victor is also very nice, also the maintenance team is so respectful shout out to you Jose. If I could give zero stars I would! This apartment complex is the absolute worst I have ever lived in!!! First management will do NOTHING about any issues you have. And I am not talking minor things. Pets poop in the hallways and it never gets cleaned up. It literally gets stepped on and just stays there. Very disgusting! When you walk into your apartment the weed smell is so strong it can take your breathe away. As someone who doesn't smoke this shouldn't be the case yet somehow so many do and ventilation is so bad it's what I love with daily. The windows in the apartment also do not open. They appear that they do but there is a second window that is behind the one that opens that is sealed and has no way of opening. I'm 99.9% sure this is a fire code violation. Lastly there is a person that lives above us that sounds as if he/she is coming thru the ceiling. On the phone people ask what is going on. It is not normal noises you hear with apartment living it is extreme! Despite multiple complaints about this being done at all hours of the day/night and having sent videos we have been told that there is nothing they can do. Do NOT move here. Seriously don't walk but run away from this place!!!! read more

As a current resident: do not move in. Love accessibility of nearby businesses but as it's own the new management is awful. Won't answer phone calls. Won't return voicemails. Just checked the outside open pool sign to find it closed inside. Management says it's bc they need to redo the lighting in the pool...I'm trying to swim while it's sunny. The worst complex I have ever lived in. They advertise luxury & nothing about this complex is luxurious. The courtyards reek from pets using the turf as the only place to go to the bathroom and no one picks up after their pets nor do they really enforce this. The trash is "valet" that you pay for, yet we constantly had to call to ask why trash had been sitting in the hallways for days. Our maintenance requests go ignored. I followed up for MONTHS about an unlocked door that led to the street via calls and emails after finding a homeless person sleeping inside the stairwell. They just continued marking the request complete yet never actually fixed anything nor acknowledged our concern about the door being unlocked. The "gated" parking works about 50% of the time. The apartment finishings themselves are far from luxurious. They refused to let us see our unit before we moved in because it was being worked on, which is fine, but we expected it to look decent if they were working on it for weeks. It looked like someone had thrown paint over everything & called it new. The appliances were outdated and the ones that were "new" had multiple dents/chips in them. The first time we went to use the shower the entire spout shot off the wall because it was not connected properly. We spent thousands of dollars to break our lease because living there was so terrible. The leasing staff, specifically Jessica, was a nightmare to work with to break our lease and she would not answer our questions when we asked her to show us where in the lease she was getting her info, but instead kept saying everything was up to her discretion which was stated no where in the lease. Save your money and live literally anywhere else. Besides the location of this complex being great, there is nothing else appealing about the lofts. read more
