We were impressed with our first time here, why not come again? This time I opted for the Denver Omelette. And, thankfully, had enough sense (I was starving) to stop and take a photo - but, not before adding some Tapatio. It was hot, it was STUFFED with big chunks of ham, onions and peppers and it was all VERY good! The hash browns were on point as well; crispy, tender and a lot of 'em. Service, again, was top-drawer. The new waitress (she said it was her first day) was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was like the last time ... it's a saloon! Whattayagonnado?? So, yeah, Acorn is quickly becoming our "go to." The other, local places that decide to only be open a couple days a week are sorely (going to be) missing out.

The girls were quick to take our order when we sat down, but after 40 minutes of sitting there we still hadn't even received our drinks (one water and one soda), and they had not come to our table one time to check on us. We finally flagged them down and when the one girl came to the table she just said "the food should be coming soon", not even realizing we still didn't have drinks on our table. When I mentioned to her we still didn't have our drinks she had to ask what we were drinking again. She brought the drinks pretty much right away after that, and the food shortly followed. Once we received our food and drinks, nobody ever came back to the table the whole time to see how everything was, if we needed drink refills, etc. After we finished our meal it wasn't until my uncle got up to use the restroom that they came to take our plates, but didn't bother to ask if we wanted anything else, more water or soda, or even ask how the food was. We sat there at least another 10 minutes before the other girl finally brought the check over, all the while I'm sitting there watching her mess around on her phone and chat it up with somebody sitting at the bar (unsure if it was a customer or coworker). Granted, they were busy when we arrived so I expected there to be a wait for the food, but I didn't expect to not receive our drink order, especially since it was just 2 of us in our party and it was a water and a soda. I also didn't expect to not be checked on at least once during the 1+ hour we were there or have to wait around forever for the check. If it were up to me I wouldn't go back, but my uncle likes the place and has more patience than I do, so I'm sure I will. But I will try to talk him into going elsewhere first.

Hubby had the chicken salad with a side of blue cheese and ranch, salad was fresh but the chicken was gooey and gristly and tasted like Walmart precooked chicken from the frozen aisle but hey both of the salad dressings tasted very low quality as well (definitely not house made ranch and the blue cheese had no blue cheese must have grabbed it at Walmart when getting the chicken). On a positive note staff were nice and place was clean. I want to support local businesses but serving up this mess... we definitely won't be coming in again. Very disappointing.

They had three nice tables, a bar and a nice lounging area. They also had a stage and dancing area. There was not live music that night, but they had a nice sound system that was playing music at a level so you could still talk and enjoy your drinks. They had a good selection of whiskey, the best part being that it was not exorbitantly priced like I'm used to in the Seattle area. The bartender/owner was very attentive even though he was also participating in the tournament. Seemed like a nice place, if I lived in town I could be a regular.

Dr. Gavin just retired last month and we are going to miss her! My son Matthew was so sad to her…read morego. Matt has autism and so transitions are tough for him. She has compassion for her patients and she gave great medical care. Before she left Dr. Gavjin gave us a referral to Dr. Eric Matsumoto and we had an excellent first appt.
