Very casual and laidback vibe with people of all ages. Counter service is fast and they have staff to keep the tables clean. There's live country music and dancing. They have 2 full bars and a food truck. Smoking is allowed.

I enjoy hanging out in this area of Round Rock. You can listen to local bands and even go to cumbia dance venues. I've driven past The Long Branch Saloon many times and planned to stop by. I'm glad we finally did! After eating with friends in Georgetown, we decided to hang out here. There's a patio with heaters, a bar, and a stage area for the band. I drank a couple of glasses of wine and people watched. It seemed like we waited a long time before the band played; however, when they finally began it was worth the wait! They were quite good. Would I go again. Yes! But when I do, I'll call first to find out the time the band will play.

Just a picture so you know where not to go!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Big thumbs down for the Long Branch Saloon! How many times do they harass people when you're not even drinking and pay for your food? They do not hire the best and brightest there for damn sure! Gutter tramp bleach blonde in there put her hand up in my face as I go to talk to the owner, just does not cut it! I proceeded to take pictures and told the owner that I would be giving them a scathing review! there's a better way to treat people, you never know what somebody's been through! They need to serve alcohol in different cups than regular sodas so their little door man doesn't get his 7th grade education in a tizzy! I shouldn't have to put my soda down to go 50' to my car to get my card to pay for my food! I let him keep the soda! You would think some people would have evolved by now but evidently there's a few that haven't! I haven't been to this area in forever! Definitely didn't need this before a 4 hour drive! Certainly didn't miss anything in there! Definitely need some MAJOR improvements!

The Rock Sports Bar closed early, so headed over to Long Branch for an additional round and to catch the end of the game. Thanks!

Located off Anderson Mill in the corner of a strip mall is a bookshelf with a door on the right side. If you cannot figure out the entrance, there is a doorbell to ring as well. I believe it is owned by the same people who own The Mill bar right next door, which makes it feel like a cool bonus space. My friend and I sat next to a faux fireplace, where we were greeted by the only bartender working and placed our order. Once he opened the tab, it was disappointing that he never came back to check if we wanted another drink. It wasn't super busy on the Monday we went, but since he was the only one manning the bar, the bartender was always doing something, so I don't blame him fully for not checking back in with us. I ordered a drink called the Velvet Vice. It looked nothing like the picture and tasted similar to an Aviation cocktail with egg whites. I happened to really like it. It is a very relaxed space, but once the speakeasy gimmick wears off, it does not have much else going for it. It is still a cool place, but I am not sure it was worth the lengthy drive to get there. Clearly, not at all, because the place was packed. Either at capacity or about to go over. We secured a little standing spot at the bar and enjoyed our little brews. As we looked up at the TV, the original Leprechaun movie was playing. The staff were very friendly and moving around at the speed of light to get everyone their green dyed beers. There was over an hour wait for food due to how obviously busy a bar is on International Wear Green and Drink Beer Day, which didn't concern us because we had already eaten. For everyone else, sucks to be them. Our Guinnesses were good, and I really have no complaints. The location is quite narrow, but they make the most of it. I went to the bar and ordered (no wait staff at the tables). I ordered the Fish-n-Chips w/ a Pearl Snap, my date had the Biggy BBQ Mac Burger with a Dragon Fruit Daiquiri. For the positives: our drinks were very good, hard to mess up a draught beer, but it was not flat & just cold enough. She absolutely loved the daiquiri, side note- she's with me so standards aren't super high. Bar staff were super helpful and attentive, patio was very chill and secluded from the other spots surrounding it. The bathroom was clean and didn't smell like vomit. Negatives: My fish and chips were below expectations. Their grease was entirely too hot and it was flash fried causing the batter to be too crispy and the fish was piping hot. The selection of cod was not good either most of the pieces were blackened meat and the chips were crinkle cut fries, a letdown. I wasn't expecting a London level plate but it was a very sad and lonely one. Her burger was loaded with BBQ sauce and her mac-n-cheese balls were fried similarly causing the same burnt batter. It wasn't the worst meal I've had at a chain beer joint, looking at you Fox and Hound, but it wasn't close to the best. The Flying Saucer has a very good bar style fish and chips plate that costs about the same but they pay attention to the details that make it better. Overall I would not recommend and I will not be going back but in a pinch it won't make you sick.
