I can't even believe the negative review I have to leave nor the reason why. Every now and again, I wish there was a zero star option. Whenever we go to Round Rock we always say we should stop at this place and never do. They've got this really interesting outdoor patio scene happening that we've wanted to be a part of (you know, hanging out and relaxing with a beverage). Today (5/7/26) we got the chance to do it. We walked in the front door around 4 pm and there were maybe 2-3 people sitting at the bar. Decent enough looking bar interior. Kinda rustic meets dive. We immediately went out a door on the left of the entrance that led to the patio. It felt like the best kind of playground. Lots of room, colorful tables and chairs, an outdoor stage, an exterior walk up window to the bar, cool lighting, and so on. I was like a kid in a candy store! Loved it. My boyfriend and I decided we'd use the outdoor walk-up to place an order and sit outside. I told him I wanted to grab a couple of quick pics. While exploring the patio, there were three men outside as well. One looked to be a maintenance or perhaps construction worker. I figured he was doing repairs or maybe there after work. All of a sudden, one of the men asks if they could help us. My boyfriend simply said, "oh she's just grabbing a couple of pictures before we order". The second man in the group told me I couldn't do that. I thought he was kidding. I kind of chuckled and told him, "it's so cute here I just want to grab a couple of pictures before we order and it's a public setting". The construction worker guy pipes in that it's private property. I told them I didn't mean any harm and that I was excited to be there and I wanted to capture it for my memories and for a Yelp review. The first guy told me I "wasn't going to do that". Folks, I was flabbergasted! Everyone in Round Rock is so polite and kind and this was nothing short of bizarre. When he said that I said "ok" and we walked back through the bar to leave. I apologized to the bartender that we wouldn't be ordering after all and told her what happened. She just kind of looked at me. Pretty sure she was in a state of shock. She said nothing at all. A customer sitting at the bar kept shaking her head in disbelief at what we'd just experienced. I mean isn't the idea of being in business to have customers? Especially during a slow time when you don't have a large customer base present to generate income? Honestly, as I type this, I still can't believe this situation took place. I absolutely hate to leave bad reviews but sometimes you just don't have a choice. Needless to say, The Long Branch Saloon will NEVER get a dime from me. read more

The Long Branch Saloon is huge! The patio is one of the biggest enticements...spacious, open air, and often hosting live music. Today the saloon had a DJ spinning tunes. Interestingly, you could hear the music inside the bar and outside the venue on the patio. This appeared to be the quintessential country western bar, until you heard the music. The DJ was spinning popular music...unexpected yet welcomed....great tunes. This is the type of place where you could literally stay for hours and listen to great music. Our server was great. I enjoy hanging out in this area of Round Rock. You can listen to local bands and even go to cumbia dance venues. I've driven past The Long Branch Saloon many times and planned to stop by. I'm glad we finally did! After eating with friends in Georgetown, we decided to hang out here. There's a patio with heaters, a bar, and a stage area for the band. I drank a couple of glasses of wine and people watched. It seemed like we waited a long time before the band played; however, when they finally began it was worth the wait! They were quite good. Love the outdoor patio! A lot of space for big and small groups. They also have live music and a taco truck too! There's a little dancing area too if you'd like a little step up moment of yours lol Definitely recommend for a chill night out though. Parking is pretty easy, I normally get lucky with a spot at front but there are more parking areas in walking distance. Bar service is pretty fast outside but they also have one inside. I popped into The Long Branch Saloon one afternoon on a pit stop while riding my motorcycle. I had one of their drink specials that included a Ziegenbock tall boy and a shot of whiskey for about $8. Low key night out with my man-panion and we decided to keep it local with dinner on Main Street and some live music at Long Branch. The Saloon is smallish with a large outdoor deck. Inside, the bar is decked out in twinkle lights and the service was friendly and efficient. There was a DJ playing country music and we enjoyed having a drink while waiting for the live music to start at 9pm. Outside, the patio is more of a large deck, with wood planks and a few tables and an open area in front of the small stage, in case you want to take a spin around with your sweetie, or dancing friend. The band that night was good, not great, but good. We enjoyed ourselves and had a couple of dances. I will say that it's a small challenge given the warped boards, but it does have a certain charm. We had table service, but our waitress really didn't know what to recommend and kept forgetting to bring our waters. We were here for about an hr and 3 drinks before going to explore other places. We had a little table on the patio, but it got really loud and there isn't much shade if you get a table in the direct sun w/o a table umbrella, so there's that. Not sure I would return. read more

I actually generally enjoy this bar. Every bartender and door staff is always kind so it helps. Today, we had a sweet bartender Scarlett. She was awesome! Then she left and a new girl came on Sarah or Samantha. Idk her name she is rude and asked us at the end of the bar to come to the middle to order. Meanwhile she passes this end constantly and since we are in front of the tap, qhwre she gets beer, how are you not able to come to this end to take and deliver an order? The worst part is we are great tippers but attitude and service play a serious role in how we tip. If she can't handle tending the bar then maybe she shouldn't be a bar tender. This is a fun bar to hit up when you're in downtown RR. It's right next to a couple other bars, so you can do at least a little bar hopping. They have a large patio area, so when there's nice weather I'd definitely recommend this bar. We've always experienced good service here. The inside is a little small. Great little dive in downtown RR. If you want to get your drank on the dark cool bar area is for you. The large outside patio is shaded in the back area and there are misters as well. As others have mentioned drinks are hit or miss but I can report that the beer is cold and if you give the bartender cash they gladly hand you a beer. It does get crowded during the evening and there is a pretty large stage for bands. We caught a CW band on my last visit and they were pretty darn good. They really need to increase their restroom capacity one holers do not work well on crowded nights. read more
