I went to Dr. Brown for FaceTite several years ago. He was very nice and explained things well. His staff was courteous. Although I didn't initially request it, he said I should also get some fat liposuctioned from under my chin to create a better profile. I agreed but told him not to take too much fat, as I didn't want a "waddle" of loose skin under my chin (being over 50, I knew my skin wasn't completely taut, but I didn't have one bit of a waddle under my chin & upper neck). He assured me that it would not happen, that he wouldn't take that much fat out. The Facetite procedure healed well; I had no damage but it had a minimal effect on the tightness of my skin. That could just be that it wasn't enough for my age, and I knew that but wasn't ready for surgery. However, I ended up with a fairly deep and bigger scar under my chin that I wasn't prepared for, and the skin there now drapes unevenly (like there's separation of skin due to the scar), and I ended up with the waddle (a hang of loose skin) I never wanted. After several years of trying to massage the scar, it's a little better, but the separation of skin and waddle underneath is not. When I mentioned the scar to him on follow-up, he said it wasn't bad and would get better. It has faded, but the the way my skin there looks has not gotten better. So, unfortunately, I can't really recommend this procedure or Dr. Brown. read more

I can not recommend Dr Brown. I had breast implants replaced and came out of it with only one nipple. He said he lost blood flow. To add insult to injury, he showed no empathy and merely told me he could build me a new one for a fee. Seriously, like I would let him touch me again? He was so cold and unfeeling I would not ever go back nor recommend him when surely there are others out there. I'm giving him one star because it does not allow me to submit with no stars read more

Dr Brown performed upper and lower eyelid surgery on me. Just came back from my 2 month post op checkup and I am very happy. I still have some numbness but am fully confident that this will continue to improve. I would certainly do it again. I am not rating the surgery (yet) but wanted to leave a review on the facility and consultation process. Facility is very clean and easy to get to! The appointment was a little behind but staff kept checking in thanking me for my patience. Once Dr Brown came in, he was completely focused on me and extremely patient with my backstory & fears! I read a lot of his reviews prior and I saw common themes - kindness, patient, very attentive & focused, calm - and once I met with him, it REALLY made sense. In just one session, I could tell he is all of those things. He put my fears at ease and even complemented the work that a different surgeon completed many years ago that I wasn't completely happy with - to me, that shows his true character and values! He did point out some areas he may have done differently, but really made me feel positive and relieved that I did get good value out of my previous experience. He offered different options and no pressure on one versus the other even though the price difference is large. He thought my plan of waiting for my weight loss journey to complete and then come back for another consult was a great way forward which made me feel so comfortable without any pressure!! When I'm ready next year, I'll definitely be seeing Dr Brown and will post another review after surgery! read more

I would actually give Dr. Brown and his nurse a negative rating. This is November 2020 and the nurse came in with no mask on. It was a tiny room, she tried to justify it by saying we were "social distancing" by sitting about 4-5 feet from each other. I told her I don't feel comfortable being in a small room with her not wearing a mask. She put hers on. When the doctor came in her and his nurse weren't wearing masks. He put it on shortly after though so I decided I would stay. After my exam, he took his mask off to sanitize his hands. Why? I have no idea. I told him the same thing as the nurse, that I don't feel comfortable being in the room when he was not wearing a mask. He got an attitude with me and said he heard (obviously the nurse told him about it and you can see what he thought about it). I said that him being a medical professional should know better. He told me that masks don't do anything and I should read a book. I walked out. He was so condescending and rude. He is also completely oblivious to the pandemic that our country is dealing with. If this is what he thinks about masks, it says so much about him as a doctor. read more

This review is only for their laser hair removal. They way this office does the pricing is unique...but it makes sense! They charge you by the time, NOT by what area. 1 hour is $300 and 1/2 hour is $200. So as most places screw you on price by asking you what area you want treated, this office will treat whatever you want within your time frame. Obviously, you say you want a certain area, they will estimate that it will take 1/2 hour or 1 hour so you know what to book. Another thing (Groupon lovers pay attention!)...many of the packages you get emailed to you are for IPL, NOT actually laser. IPL may work for some, but IPL is for skin work like diminishing freckles. So you end up wasting money because barely anything happens. I've learned my lesson. One place I tried --which is buried way back in my Yelp reviews--I wasted 3 painful sessions bought through Groupon. Seriously, you get what you pay for, and although it seems expensive, Dr. Brown's payment structure makes sense. And its a real laser, so it works. If you live in DC or not in Virginia it could be a bit of a trek to get here. But, if you live in Virginia, its worth coming here. I haven't tried any of their other services yet, but so far, the office is clean, professional and their pricing structure for laser hair removal is really cool! read more

What more can be said than what's already been said in all of these glowing reviews? Bottom line, you will not find a more highly skilled and caring medical team than what you find at LCPS. From Dr. Brown and nurse Amber to Lexie who answers the phones...all unite together to make sure every question is answered and every care and concern is addressed. I've never had surgery where you can get an answer by texting or calling the nurse from the center--sometimes after hours!! Amber kindly (and promptly) answers all questions , consulting with Dr. Brown when necessary, and doesn't make you feel as though you are a bother. She and Dr. Brown genuinely care about their patients--you have that sense from the first consultation all the way through the follow up visits. Fat transfer for breast reconstruction did not work at all in filling in the dent and overall adding to symmetry, had necrosis (lump) in the area and still do a couple of years later. I said that I didn't think I had enough fat from my abdomen, he said I did until after the surgery and then he said I didn't. I asked for my surgical report and never got it. Very disappointed as I had high hopes with good reviews. read more

I would not recommend Dr. Brown for breast augmentation. He did an awful job on my breast implants a couple of years ago. There is a huge gap between them and although he claims this is just how my body is made, other surgeons have told me otherwise. I am able to get a revision surgery with a different surgeon who knows how to bring them closer together, but now I have to shell out thousands more dollars in order to get normal looking breasts. I would never go back to him for a revision because he was unable to get it right in the first place. I have spent the past couple of years wishing I had never gotten breast implants! Please do your research and get consultations with a few different surgeons before you make any decisions! read more

A review for Dr. Michael J. Brown: I had a breast lift, implants and liposuction done 2 years ago by The Austin Weston Center. I had a horrible experience there and was in constant pain with my implants. I finally decided to remove them and have scar revision done. My original scars from Dr. Weston were awful. Very wide, dark purple and very painful still. I had several consultations with local surgeons and was blessed to have someone recommend Dr. Michael Brown. I was immediately comfortable with him and his staff. They were all very sympathetic to the experience I had with the previous surgery and Dr. Brown made me very confident he could improve the scars and remove the implants successfully. He was very thorough with his examination of my problem area and spent time with me to address all of my concerns. I had the surgery with him and was in less pain by the end of surgery day than I had been in 2 years. I had heavy bleeding for days after my original surgery and Dr. Brown revised the scars with NO bleeding at all. Even the bandages were clean. I was SO impressed with Dr. Brown and his expertise. I will never again let anyone but him do any surgery on me. I also need my liposuction revised and he will be the one to do it. Anyone I talk to that is interested in doing any plastic surgery, I recommend him highly. I had a great experience with my breast augmentation with Dr. Brown in February 2020. Based on his experience and reputation, I was comfortable with doing a procedure that I had been considering for over 10 years! I finally pulled the trigger and very happy that I went with Dr. Brown. I now recommend him to all my friends if they tell me they're considering a boob job! If you're not squeamish, I highly recommend watching the surgeries on his YouTube channel. It's obvious that he's very skilled at what he does and has years of experience. During the videos, you will hear him explaining why he may make an incision a certain way or take various steps to have the best outcome aesthetically but also to minimize risks of complications. I also checked out his before and after pictures and saw that his patients have a nice, symmetric look that's probably about as natural as you can get. I've seen before and after pictures with other surgeons where the results are all over the place or there's weird nipple placement, etc. After discussing it with friends, I found out that he's a highly reputable surgeon in the area and I happen to know several people that have had great results with him which made me feel even better about doing a procedure with him. He also helped me make the best decision for me regarding size and type of implant based on my lifestyle and goals for the type of look I was going for. He will take the time to explain why different types of implants and sizes may not work with your anatomy, etc or rather than allowing you to go with a size that may be too big. On the surgery day, the anesthesiologist, nurses, and Dr. Brown were awesome--very friendly/positive and kept me informed about what to expect. Dr. Brown even called me in the evening after my surgery to make sure everything was going well! I've had several follow up appointments just to check on the recovery and progress that all went smoothly. I received a breast augmentation by Dr. Michael Brown (at The Loudoun Center for Plastic Surgery & Dermatology) back in May 2016. I LOVE MY RESULTS!! I was referred to Dr. Brown by a friend of a friend. When I first looked him up, I was impressed by the wealth of information he had available for prospective clients on numerous websites (https://www.rejuven8u.com/dr-brown/; https://www.loudouncenterforplasticsurgery.com/; https://www.breastaugmentationvirginia.com). I did a lot of research before committing to the surgery, but I spent the majority of time perusing the aforementioned sites because they had comprehensive information on the procedure itself (including videos), the types of implants and different placement and incision options, what to expect based on your particular anatomy, costs, risks and potential complications, and an array of before and after photos categorized by body type. This information helped me go into the consultation already well informed and with reasonable expectations based on my anatomy. To me, his commitment to providing in-depth information to clients was telling. It showed he really cared that people have the tools to make educated decisions regarding medical procedures and a 24/7 source to turn to whenever they wanted more information about something. I ultimately decided to have my surgery with Dr. Brown and his team because of the very positive experience I had at the consultation. Even though I did my research, I came with a list of questions that were fully addressed. The thing I respected most was Dr. Brown's candidness about how each woman's unique anatomy (body type, breast size/shape/asymmetries, skin quality, etc.) must be taken into consideration when formulating expectations on personal results. He gave me his expert opinion and we discussed what I could expect based on my body as well as the cc's he recommended to SAFELY get me closest to my ideal results (with lowest risk of complication). This was huge to me. I'd much rather work with someone who's honest about reasonable expectations. This ensures you can manage your expectations appropriately, have a better idea of what your actual results will be, and thus are happy with the outcome (because you're not expecting results that are incompatible with what you're already working with). I was nervous the day of surgery (plus a bit irritated since I hadn't been able to drink or eat anything beforehand lol), but his staff was so pleasant, calming, and upbeat that it helped me to relax. They ensured I was as comfortable as possible (changing the pillow placement when needed and even pulling out a heater to help me warm up), and they gave me pep talks to help me focus on getting excited for the aftermath versus worrying about the operation. When I woke up, they were so cheerful that I immediately got excited all over again instead of thinking about the discomfort. They got me something to drink and snack on immediately, were so kind and gentle with helping me get dressed, and re-explained the post-op instructions to my mother and I fully (they provided written instructions too). The whole process went so smoothly. Fast forward 6+ months, and I'm still so happy and ecstatic about my results and the whole experience. I've had a number of post-op visits by now, and I can say Dr. Brown and his staff were always pleasant and helpful, explaining my progress to me and answering any new questions I had (even when I called the office with impromptu questions along the way). My results turned out exactly how I expected them to (in regards to size and appearance) and the recovery/healing process went smoothly (no complications and my incisions have been healing/fading beautifully). Of course, I attribute this to Dr. Brown's professionalism, expertise, and skill! I'M VERY HAPPY!! :-) The only thing I can think of that may bother some people is that the time I had available to talk to Dr. Brown did feel a bit limited. I never felt rushed, per se, but I did feel like I better get to the point with my questions. I'm sure this is simply because he's super busy and wants to make his appointments with each of his many patients on time. This didn't bother me really because I was already well informed and just had a few follow-up questions during the consultation, pre-op, and post-op office visits. And his staff was always more than accommodating when it came to questions and just conversing about the topic in general. I just thought I'd be candid about something I perceived. In my opinion, just make sure you're already relatively educated on the procedure when you go, and use the time to focus on things that can't be adequately addressed from an online search (from a productivity and efficiency standpoint). I just have to rave about Dr Brown and his amazing staff. After previously having surgery with another commendable surgeon in the area I was no completely hapoy wi th the results. So after a year of contemplating what I should do I was advised to see Dr. Brown. I was need of a breast augmentation revision. Coming from the medical field as a surgical technologist and seeing many different surgical techniques I was astonished at how well Dr. Brown performed. After my initial consultation I actually had hope that he would be able to fix me. On the date of my surgery I walked in to nothing but smiking faces. I thought I was at a spa and not an operating room. Before I knew it I was out of the OR and on my way home. I can not tell you how thrilled with my results. This Dr. did not listen to what "I" wanted at all. He kept telling me what I needed, which cost a lot more, instead of listening to me and what I wanted. My husband was with me and whenever I asked a question from my list my husband saw him roll his eyes. I went in very well informed for my consult and it didn't even matter. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. I would say steer clear and look for a better PS. He's also so much more expensive then the Dr. I went with and am happy with. read more

It breaks my heart to give this man one star but I had to in order to post a review. Dr. Brown is a butcher...run as fast as you can! It took be 5 years to fix his "simple tip rhinoplasty" I had the unfortunate experience of having 2 rhinoplasty surgeries with this monster (monster is being kind!). I went to Dr. Brown for a simple rhinoplasty on the tip of my nose. I was told by Dr. Brown my surgery would be easy , I only needed a small adjustment. After my first surgery I was devastated, everyone's worst nightmare after plastic surgery. I was told by Dr. brown that "the surgery didn't take"...after I paid an additional 4k for corrective surgery by this monster, the second surgery was even more devastating then the first, I was told by Dr. Brown "I needed a specialist in LA or NYC". I asked him to please give me a name, I was desperate to fix his mistakes. The second rhinoplasty left me with scars so bad they showed in every photo. You could see every horrible mistake this so called doctor made. After asking for a reference and not hearing form this coward I finally sought out on my own to fix his mistake. I was horrified to learn that this monster had done such a hack job on me that I would need to see a reconstruction rhinoplasty specialist...two doctors wouldn't touch his horrible mistakes stating "Your nose has gone through so much trama I'm afraid to operate." Every doctor I saw was horrified this man was able to operate on people. After searching the country for the right doctor to repair his work, and several thousand dollars later,I finally have the nose I love. Wish I never let this man touch me. It took me 5 years to recover from what this man did to me. Trust me...run! I don't want anyone else hurt like I was. Do your research....trust me I wish I had. read more
