The lounge has some pretty good fish and chicken. If you aren't hip make sure you try their drunken sauce which is like a vodka based bbq sauce. The greens, yams and Mac are really good sides. The Mac tastes like it had hints of the yam juices in it. Also on your birthday you can go get a free fish or chicken meal that comes with 2 sides. You have to actually go in your birthday and show your id. The service is good but it take a while to get your food, but once you do everything is all nice and hot. While The Lounge is a pretty good place to eat and enjoy your beverages, I actually stumbled upon the Greenhills location called The Lounge Uptown. The staff there is extremely friendly and they make great recommendations on food and specialty drinks to try. Wednesday is $1 wing day. The wings were fried to perfection. actually tried out the Green hills Winton Rd location! for the first time! Food is on point! glad I can take my drink with me old sourhern lemonade with all this liquor in it! glad I live close. came here on Michele Sullivan-Wilson recommendations with her now, enjoying the company. Only complaint, instead of that big arse floor length mirror in the bathroom, add an extra toilet stall! One is not enough. Also, I don't know about the Reading Rd crowd,, but in Green hills, the non clean version rap lyrics playing at 3 in the afternoon, might not go over so well. Oh YAM! Seriously I'll get to the review, but the candied yams at this place are like your grandma's (if your grandma is from the South). The venue is a hole in the wall local bar, but the decor is cool, there is a pool table and lots of TV's. Seems like a good place to watch the game. Ok, so I'm giving this place 4 stars because our first food order was given away (even the waitress was upset) and I didn't like one of the drinks (the Wonder Woman) , but overall it was good. The Strawberry Henny drink is yummy. The food is all spicy but tasty. Favorites were the spicy greens and the YAMS! Seriously, I want to eat these yams every day. Bartender this morning gave off a nasty and definitely NOT positive nor "friendly" atmosphere. Very short answers, and we weren't even greeted coming through the door. Instead of asking us what she could help us with she just sat and stared at us until we ordered. But is currently EXTREMELY talkative to someone who looks like a coworker or personal friend. As I said this is only my second time here and this is the same experience I received the first time and will not be returning. Out of fish on festival weekend. ( reading rd) I stopped in around 5:30. Stopped in Greenhills location a couple weeks later. The server decided to wait on some men before me. She knew I was there before them because she looked at me and told me that she'll be right with me. I've been in the restaurant business for years. As I watched her wait on everyone before me, she could hit me be cashing out folks. A couple of weeks before e got charged tax and for something that I don't know. When I said something about my meal that was 11.50 being almost 14 TO GO. She took something off and said I can't do anything about tax. No tax on food to go. Never judge a book by its cover because since your server decided to cash out people who she just made drinks for knowing they are waiting for food .
