My wife and I have a list of the worst restaurant we have eaten in and the worst on the list my be pleased to know they are no longer the worst, the Tap House has gained that honor. We came from Marion Indiana and this place was chosen for a celebration dinner when my son graduated. I wish they would have chosen McDonalds! We found out the best waiters were US, My wife got a baked potato that must have been baked in a easy bake oven kids toy that uses a light bulb because half of it was raw and it certainly was NOT a hot potato. She asked for broccoli instead since we did not want to wait for another hour for another potato. The broccoli was not eatable as it some unknown seasoning on it that we both spat out. My fish was overcooked as were the fries but again we did not want to wait for another hour for something else. I also ordered sweet tea and got two glasses of unsweetened tea, I usually get about four glasses of tea when I eat out due to problems swollowing. I was asked if I was paying on the app and should have said no use downloading it as we will never be back. Needless to say I was hangry before we arrived with snow and Christmas shopping..if you know you know how that is.. Mike at the bar was great he really was helpful with the menu. The number of beers on draft is 20 or more.. Today I got the burger with tots. The burger was cooked perfectly to my requested medium cook. We ordered the blackened salmon (it was extremely dry) with asparagus (asparagus was raw and hard), I got the Oh my Cod meal - the slaw came in a small little ketchup container and the fish had no flavor at all. Literally none. My mother in law ordered Smothered Chicken with loaded potato. The actual potato was still hard, you could bite it and hear the crunch! It took them 45 min just to take our order, another 45 to get the food and checking out was a nightmare. They brought all the checks - and we waited 15-30 min just for them to collect the money. One party in our group could have literally walked out without paying BUT I grabbed their credit card off the table and went to the bar to pay bc we waited so long! I'd been to this place one other time with my lady just for drinks, pinball, and a few games of pool but not to eat. They do have some cool pinball tables by the way. Still, I wanted to get the full experience before reviewing, so I talked my co-workers into going for Cincinnati Wing Week when different restaurants have chicken wing specials going on. They agreed to so since they like wings too. We went on a Thursday for lunch. It wasn't too busy and we were sat right away. Their bar area is pretty big and they have an impressive tap selection as well as wine and a full bar. They have lots of inside seating and outside too. There's also a stage for live music. Did I mention the pinball tables? You have to get a play card to get play them though because the machines do not accept cash or coin. There's also a pool table closer to the bar area. Their menu is nice and features lots of classic pub grub options. But we were all about the wings. Theirs came with different sauce options like classic Buffalo, sweet Thai chili, BBQ, garlic parmesan, and dry rub. I ordered 6 dry rub wings and a wedge salad. My boss did the same but asked for a couple sides of sauce which were the garlic parmesan and hot Buffalo. My other co-worker got 6 sweet Thai chili wings and an order of raptor fries (loaded fries). The salads came out first and were pretty good size for the price. They definitely didn't skimp on the blue cheese which I always enjoy. Everything else came our after we were done with the salads. My dry rub wings were good but they were a bit on the sugary sweet side which I was not expecting. When I think dry rub wings, I think smoky dry rub, not sweet. My co-workers fries were definitely loaded and I did manage to steal a few. Too bad I couldn't get a pint of brew since we had to go back to work. Overall, I think this spot is pretty good, and I could potentially see going again, and not just for drinks and pinball, but that's a bonus for sure. Located in the old bar Louie sits the Anderson tap house. We just noticed it the other day so we stopped in and met some friends for lunch. Not busy at all around lunch time on Sunday it offers a great bar with many tvs as well as a game area for the kids. Service was friendly. Food was very good for bar food especially the burger which had a generous topping of goetta which we loved. We can definitely see ourselves coming back to watch a game or have a cold beverage and some appetizers or dinner before a movie. I look forward to trying more of what they have to offer. read more

I have gone here several times to try and give them a shot. I was really excited when this place was opening because I love to support local businesses especially ones with good craft, beer and food. This is definitely neither. I went in one time and sat at the bar. I was literally the only person sitting at the bar and it took 15 minutes for the bartender to walk over to me and you even acknowledge that I was there. While they have an extensive list of beers , 50 to 60% of the kegs are blown. I tried going again, and when we finally got our food, it was not good. The bathrooms in this place are disgusting and smell like sewage. Also, when I asked the bartender what IPAs they had on tap he said, "I don't know I don't drink bee" I don't see how this place stays in business much longer. read more

I visited on the restaurant's 5th day in business. Like many new restaurants, there were a lot of hiccups. It took longer than quoted to be seated. We were brought the wrong salad and then the wrong drinks. My cold peel and eat shrimp were sat under a hot lamp and arrived lukewarm and unappetizing. There were however two bright spots that make this place worth a shot. The first was Brian, one of the owners. He was running hard, fixing problems, and remaining perfectly hospitable along the way. I believe that he will soon have this place in great shape, if it isn't already. The second was the wings. I love a dry rub wing, and these were perfectly done, meaty, and full of flavor. There were SWARMS of bugs taking over the entire section of the restaurant back by the stage. I had to pull 4 fruit flies out of my beer within the first 5 minutes. More bugs started landing all over my food immediately after receiving it. And then a bug flew directly into my mouth. This was the grossest experience I've ever had in a restaurant. As someone who goes here for pinball, food, and drinks, this is my local spot that I love, I know the owner and his brother who operates the pinball, and they're great. Everyone who comes here for local pinball is super nice, and good competition. I can't really speak on the food, but the tap house burger and raptor fries are the shit, and I always get them. Servers are friendly, fast, and chill. The maintenance on these machines is done with love, though some machines are pretty worn in, and I love that. The operator is one of the nicest guys in the local pinball scene, and has been nice enough to have me for personal get togethers with friends. When playing, don't expect machines in out of box shape, but know they're maintained with love and there's a scene at that location full of care. Customer service is great, with servers knowing me and my family and always get our orders fast with good quality. I love this spot, and the town wouldn't be the same without it. read more

genuinely the worst restaurant i've ever been to. first we walk in and we aren't greeted for a few minutes, another customer walks up to us and says they haven't been helped either. after waiting for a while we finally get a table and sit for a while. after a server comes up she gets our drink order and appetizer and doesn't take our order until our appetizer was out- mediocre nachos that you could make at home. when the rest of our food came out we were surprised. we ordered the grilled mac and cheese and it is literally just fried cheese with mac and cheese inside of it. it's foul. we also got the chicken caesar wrap, it was hot and disgusting. the fries were also mediocre. our server is incredibly awkward and hasn't been back to give us our check. do not come here. i don't even use yelp, it was that bad that i had to write a whole review. read more
