This store location was able to price match a suit I found on their website for a lower price, get me fitted, and order the sizes of everything that I needed (since they weren't in stock at the time). My experience was much better this past Sunday than it was almost two years ago. The store had their doors open to let in the 60 degrees and sunshine on the last Sunday of February. The layout was clean, and the clothes were presented in the typical minimalist fashion that is Theory. I loved the updated collection, which was presented in coordinating sections. Items similar in material and color were presented together. In terms of purchasing, I usually go for dresses from Theory because it's easy and pairs well with items I already own. I tried on a couple but none stood out. On my way out, I decided I wanted to look for straight leg pants and asked for help in identifying them. After trying on the Rosel, I fell in love. It also helped that I agreed with the associates' assessments that I looked good in them. They made my 5'9 frame look leaner and longer, and it helped that an associate, maybe she was the manager, brought me heels to jack me up and make my silhouette stand out even more. I ended up getting a suit jacket to match, and again the associate who helped me and rung me up, helped here. She identified that the two button jacket looked better on me and helped with drawing attention to my small waist. The crowds started to build at Theory while I was there to the point that there was a line for the dressing room, but the associates kept things moving and tried to help when they could. During the checkout, I noticed an issue with the pants and got another 10% knocked off of them. They also had a section that I believe was 70% off but at that point, it was slim pickings in sizes, colors, and offerings. Everything else was 40% off the tag, which seems to include new arrival items. They also had leather bags for sale, which I didn't know they sold. Anyway, I walked out ever more confident that I finally own a real power suit.

The staff at Sid Mashburn are a joy to interact with. They've found a great balance of providing value, without being overbearing. Oh, and the selection of items is great. Saturday 6/25/22 I purchased a pair of denim online and paid for 2 day air... on Monday 6/27/22 I receive communication from their customer service team that it would ship out that day, then Tuesday morning 6/28/22 I see an email that I had been refunded due to the fact that they no longer have the size I purchased, and they accidentally sold the pair that was supposed to be mine. No other explanation given or accommodation did they make. I would've given one star but I do like the products they make...but wow the store staff and the back end staff are REALLY bad.... beware

Custom shirt order really wasn't custom, even after a 3 week wait for my order. When I asked why…read morethey weren't taking more measurements than neck and sleeve length, they told me that they would do that when the shirts arrive. That seemed odd since I could have done that by just buying off the rack. When the "custom" shirts did river, the sleeve length was off by more than an inch. Now it's another three week wait to see if they get it right this time, plus additional time for the in store alterations. Not custom to me. What a shame. This used to be a really great store, but apparently no more. BTW, if you see a sale on their web site they no longer give that discount in store; full price there.

My husband likes the Orvis inventory but going into the store makes him uncomfortable. He says he…read morefeels like he's being attacked. The sales people must be on commission. He tried to keep his head down and keep a low profile when he went there today. But a bell on the door rang and several sales people ran over to assist him. I did have a bit of difficulty finding it, so I will let you know that is…read morebetween Atoka Properties (real estate office) and Nichols Hardware, on the same side of the street...that puts it just up and across the street from Maggies (Magnolias at the Mill, for those who don't know locals often call the restaurant "Maggies") The people working in the shop were so kind, the items for sale were very nice, and the prices were good. The shop is attractively arranged and well-kept. The only sign I saw was right on the door, with a Tree of Life. I had not been there before yesterday, but prefer it now to a couple of other such shops in Purcellville. It was worth finding, absolutely! I would not have known about it but for the advice of a local woman I came across in town. I have dropped off food donations for Tree of Life at a local Baptist Church in the past, but I did not know about this shop. I believe it's a nonprofit, helping those in need. So glad I stopped by! I was able to obtain a nice bag of items on my wish list.
