I mean, the (not so) gentleman associate scolded my friend who asked another staff to assist when this one could not locate the item, implicating that he was nice and did not like we asked a second opinion. He practically made us so uncomfortable that we wanted to leave except that we were in the middle of checking out card already ran through, only waiting to get our items in the bag. How rude of him and he's in that industry, wow! I used to love coming here as an alternate for the retail store closer to my office in DC on Connecticut and the Outlet closer to my home but I have noticed new faces on staff at the Outlet location. I must say, they are not the usual helpful ones, aû contrairé that one associate was downright rude! It was compelling and so I dreaded this review but I have to! I hope our experience was an isolated one for I dare not ask for assistance next visit. I mean, a few items I like are incidentally polished BB!

For people who wants clothes that aren't form fitting or for more business casual on the casual side should shop elsewhere. The store associates aren't always available for sizing or stock questions but one shouldn't have too much problems while there. The store signages are clear and the shelves are well stocked. I'm giving a 3-star today only because of uncomfortable air temperature inside the store. I would've otherwise stayed longer for browsing and purchasing.

My experience was much better this past Sunday than it was almost two years ago. The store had their doors open to let in the 60 degrees and sunshine on the last Sunday of February. The layout was clean, and the clothes were presented in the typical minimalist fashion that is Theory. I loved the updated collection, which was presented in coordinating sections. Items similar in material and color were presented together. In terms of purchasing, I usually go for dresses from Theory because it's easy and pairs well with items I already own. I tried on a couple but none stood out. On my way out, I decided I wanted to look for straight leg pants and asked for help in identifying them. After trying on the Rosel, I fell in love. It also helped that I agreed with the associates' assessments that I looked good in them. They made my 5'9 frame look leaner and longer, and it helped that an associate, maybe she was the manager, brought me heels to jack me up and make my silhouette stand out even more. I ended up getting a suit jacket to match, and again the associate who helped me and rung me up, helped here. She identified that the two button jacket looked better on me and helped with drawing attention to my small waist. The crowds started to build at Theory while I was there to the point that there was a line for the dressing room, but the associates kept things moving and tried to help when they could. During the checkout, I noticed an issue with the pants and got another 10% knocked off of them. They also had a section that I believe was 70% off but at that point, it was slim pickings in sizes, colors, and offerings. Everything else was 40% off the tag, which seems to include new arrival items. They also had leather bags for sale, which I didn't know they sold. Anyway, I walked out ever more confident that I finally own a real power suit.

My wife experienced a health issue in the past that has changed her physique in ways where not all the same clothes she used to wear will fit her and it's not easy for her to find outfits that suit her EXTREMELY well. She happened to try on a "sample" outfit not too long ago with which she absolutely fell in love. Knowing that it was a sample outfit and the fabric was no longer available, she left the store quite upset that she found something that really worked....but buying it wasn't an option. I spoke with the GM of the store, Keon, and one of my favorite salesmen, Conor, who initially didn't think it would be possible as they wouldn't have the sample from which others could try on for that size. When I visited the store last week, I curiously inquired again about whether there was any chance they may make an exception so that I could surprise my wife with an amazing gift. I know that the DC guys went beyond anything I would have ever expected as I received a call later that day where Conor informed me that they would be amenable to delivering the dress to my wife. It's difficult to find this level of a shop and group of folks who recognized how much this meant to me and my wife and went against there normal and very strict policies to make someone who has been through tough health issues incredibly happy. I don't think I can express how grateful I am to be able to shop at this store (because it's not cheap); however, the value of the clothes paired with the service is a bargain!

That seemed odd since I could have done that by just buying off the rack. When the "custom" shirts did river, the sleeve length was off by more than an inch. Now it's another three week wait to see if they get it right this time, plus additional time for the in store alterations. Not custom to me. What a shame.
