Custom shirt order really wasn't custom, even after a 3 week wait for my order. When I asked why they weren't taking more measurements than neck and sleeve length, they told me that they would do that when the shirts arrive. That seemed odd since I could have done that by just buying off the rack. When the "custom" shirts did river, the sleeve length was off by more than an inch. Now it's another three week wait to see if they get it right this time, plus additional time for the in store alterations. Not custom to me. What a shame. This used to be a really great store, but apparently no more. BTW, if you see a sale on their web site they no longer give that discount in store; full price there. read more

I called the day before and spoke to a lady for tailor services on a tuxedo jacket which was purchased outside of the store. I was quoted $50 to shorten the length of the jacket. I drove 30 miles to get there and spoke to Sylvia the store manger. When the tailor came out he said it'll be $90 for the work!!! She totally denied what I was quoted and she just shook her head and walked away!!! This is the store manager??? Can't believe how people spend money here!!! Horrible service and rude people! This review is a HUGE shoutout to the man the myth the legend..MUAIZ! I came to this location to purchase a custom tux for my wedding and he was very helpful throughout the entire process. Not knowing what I was getting myself into, the process took about 1.5 hours because I was being very picky with my choices and would go back and forth either with my wife or my brother (via video chat). Muaiz was patient and even provided some good suggestions along the way. When my tux came in, I tried it on and I thought it was cool, so I had it tailored to fit me better but it still didn't pop. Fast forward to the actual wedding and I am very grateful for Muaiz's assistance because the suit looked AMAZING on me! Plus with my added accessories from my brother and uncle (cufflinks/pocketsquare/funny socks) and shoes, It made me want to purchase another suit soon! As usual, I wait till the last minute to do everything. My bf and I came here on Thursday because he needed a suit by Saturday. I know, I know. So we go in the middle of the day hoping to avoid a lot of customers. Unfortunately there was a wedding party in there so 2/3 employees were working with them. While we waited my bf and I picked out a matching tie and handkerchief since that's all we knew how to do. Lol Once the associate was free we asked for help and she took over from there. I had trouble finding anyone who worked there aside from an employee in the back who already had his hands full, until I notice some lady in a tshirt standing in a corner stairing at me. I asked her if she worked there and she said she did, and so I said I needed help buying a suit and showed her what I was looking for on my phone. She told me I needed to "just buy it online" and then walked away. Not great. I tried to try some clothes on, but all the fitting rooms were apparently reserved. Wow. Talk about false advertising. Husband and I went return a rental. Several tables have signs on them with sweaters stating Buy One Get One Free. So we grab 2 sweaters. Price on both tags were $59.99. Cashier rings up the sweaters the price comes up as $120. We tell them these were Buy One Get One Free. The other cashiers says they are already discounted and the sale is for Exception Items. First, What the hell is an Exception Item? Second, why would you put items on table were the discount doesn't apply. That to me is false advertising. Never going here again. read more

He simply took a quick look, commented on the fit, and walked back to the table to whatever the hell was more important. We will not return. Went to this location on a Tuesday evening and was not expecting the store to be busy. The staff were all working with clients but there was one person available. I asked her for information about buying or renting a suit for Prom. She was not very helpful but I took the information she provided and browsed the store. While we waited to get help with my son's measurements, no one else really took the time to help us. We were ready to make a purchase that day but we left not knowing what our options were and I was not happy with the lack of customer service we received. We ended up at Macy's purchasing a similar suit Men's Warehouse also had and was happy to give Macy's my money instead. Went to this Men's Warehouse to purchase a suit for my upcoming wedding and had a difficult time with picking out a nicely fitted suit. The older gentleman Isam continuously pushed a suit I did not want, as it was not a slim fitted suit that I originally requested. After making the purchase alongside my groomsmen he did not place the order for the vests so we had to come back a second time and pay even more since it wasn't part of the special they had going. We were also constantly waiting because other customers came in and everyone else decided to help them since they already got our money. No notification was given when the suits arrived and personnel had to check multiple times in the back to find our orders. My husband and I have shopped here for years and the service and selection are excellent. I highly recommend joining their loyalty program because the sales & discounts are very worthwhile. Manager Shereen Legorreta and salesman Saad Ahmed are both very capable & accommodating. My husband enjoys dressing very well and has several dinner jackets but wanted to ask about dressing them up or down...so they were great sharing their thoughts. We also purchased 2 suits on a great sale...and then shirts, shoes & ties to match. (First time or experienced 'fashion forward' clients are cared for equally well!) This place is crap. Granted we showed up during prom season, but it's clear they had no idea what the hell they were doing. The woman in charge barked at everyone to use the sign in sheet. Only problem was she carried it around as she helped customers and even when you could get a hold of it, she walked away with the pen. Then while we were looking through the catalog, waiting for our turn, she snatched it up without a word so she could use it with the person she was helping. That is, of course, when she didn't walk away in the middle of helping them to do something completely unrelated. I'm still not sure why they only had two people helping customers on the first Sunday in May. They had other employees, but for reasons only known to them, they were standing around waiting for customers in the suits section. There couldn't have been more than 3-4 parties when we arrived, but ended up leaving after 15 minutes. One bonus star for what seemed like a decent suit selection. My friend picked Mens Whearhouse for our groomsmen suits so I came to the local branch to rent. I Paid in full 1 month earlier when I was fitted. Went back to pick up the suit the night before I left for the wedding and all of a sudden the price was different than the receipt. After speaking to the manager for 20-30 minutes and I received 3 different prices his only response was "they must have changed something". When we purchased the suit we were given a date when the suits with alterations would be ready and someone would call. Four days after the promised ready date no call. So we stop by the store to see what's going on. We're there for a while at first they can't seem to locate the suits. They finally find them and one pair of pants were hemmed a bit too high. So we had to have them taken down. The whole pick up process was a bit disorganized. This place has the most professional personnels in all of the men's clothing stores I've entered. Around August 2010, I needed a tuxedo for my son's Godparents wedding. So I entered the store and was greeted immediately. They measured me and recommended about 4 suits based on the color and style of the wedding. They called me in 3 days and told me that the tux was ready. When I got there, I put on the tux and it was perfect. I sent a picture to brides and they loved it. I also bought a suit from them for Halloween 2010. And I got the same professionally as before. You can order finer quality suits at Mens Wearhouse, but really by the time you do that just go to an upper level suitor and get a quality American or European made suit, along with the higher level tayloring that comes with it. Last time I was here, the people were friendly, but I suppose my salesman was new. He was polite enough but with fashion there is no one size fits all approach. Just because an Italian model can wear super slim suits, srtiped socks and shoe string ties, doesn't mean that most American men can (nor should) wear the same fashion. This is largely depending on the audience even if you are built in one particular way over another. Leith and Q assisted us in finding tuxedos for an EXTREMELY tight timeframe and we couldn't be happier!. We have 11 groomsmen plus groom and the wedding is in 3 weeks and they made it seem like a piece of cake. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this location. Leith, in particular, although I can say the same for all staff, was exceedingly patient, answered all our questions and also gave us a great discount considering the size of the bridal party, and that we have done a lot of business with this location for all our other friends weddings. I cannot thank Leith enough for putting me at ease in planning the big deal and making it such a painless experience. We also need a lot of input just as far as style, and he exceeded our expectations for that as well. Make sure you give Leith as raise!! Human Resources Dept. I want to report an employee who works in the Sterling, VA store. He helped me with my tuxedo rental. his name Yousef. My opinion of his customer service was a 1 out of a possible. He was uncaring, and not only that he screwed my order up. He measured my sizes and what a joke. The pants were 6 inches too short and the coat was so incorrectly measured as well. The manager tried to reorder the correct sizes, but it never came in. I had to wear an ordinary suit to an important GALA event in Washington, DC. Shame on him. Not that it was bad enough, I visited the Men's Bathroom in the tailor shop, and there was that same tuxedo guy, Yousef. He was smoking some type of a pipe. Not sure what he was smoking, I'm not sure. I had always had good service in other stores that I went to, but this was the worse! One particular employee was respectful, and tried to console me. For not too much more money you are much better off going to Jos A Banks if you want to stay on the cheap side and buy some suits. She researched and found a similar blazer in style and price that came in a Tall design to accommodate the longer sleeve length requirement. Absolutely the worst customer service I've had in a long time. The rental department overall needs to be overhauled. My friends wedding, we got fitted at multiple locations throughout the country. Not one, including the groom had a complete tux set fit. All of our pants were too short, by 3 to 4 inches. No kidding. Some of us were missing the cuffs and jewelry accessories. Grooms best was to be altered to fit and never got fixed. His pants had a stain on them when he went in to check the fitting. One groomsman had a too small vest. Then to top it off, I asked if I could return my tux on a Monday instead of the the next day Sunday at no charge. They said no problem. I go to return it and they try to charge me a 20 dollar late fee. I got my rentals from MW years ago and had a great experience. Seems like customer service at another location has gone to the wayside. The premium price paid at MW, I expect better. I loved shopping here.
