All of that for $15! The center is located in a plaza that's not too far from Frank Ski's Lounge. I mention that particular landmark, since an employee gave it to me as a reference when setting my appointment. Upon entering, no one said anything. A new trainee handed me a clipboard with the normal "paperwork" that all these clinics and salons or whatever random company must keep on file nowadays. The wait was about 20-30 minutes. I was seen by the doctor's assistant, who talked with me about goals, current diet, and how I can improve. I'd already lost a couple stubborn lbs. on my own, I just wanted the cheat pills. Hehe. Instead of me returning for 3 more weeks of B-12 injections, I opted for 1 Lipotonic shot. Umm... They give it to you in your bum cheek, so be ready. Not painful for me at all. The assistant tells me that they will mail the appetite suppressants to my house. Huh? Who does that? Just give em to me while I'm here. The sales lady comes in, flies through a bunch of stuff I already knew, then she was out the door. She left the suppressants and vitamins with me. Good. Finally, the doctor comes in. He's an older guy with a potbelly and a little extra weight on him... He acknowledged this immediately & pointed out the irony in him running a weight loss clinic but being a bigger guy himself. He reiterated everything the assistant said about my current diet habits and exercise. Aaand, that was about it. The pills aren't as effective as the type I had before at a different clinic. They don't totally get rid of my appetite like the others did. Nonetheless, I've managed to drop a few pounds through sheer willpower. This was an ok experience. I'd recommend this place with a deal only, however.

I started volunteering at Open Hand Atlanta around last year. There's multiple jobs you can…read morevolunteer for such as meal packing, food delivery, administration assistant, etc. It's a very easy process, all you do is sign up online on their website. Upon showing up at the facility, you will sign in on a computer then if you are brand new you will have a short class before volunteering so you can learn what to wear and what not, put on gloves, aprons and beard mask so you can prevent from hair contaminating the food in the kitchen. I usually volunteer for the meal packing position where you will be packing meals for about 2 hours for people who have dietary restrictions or just people in need. I find this a great opportunity to give back to our community. This company really relies on volunteers helping in the kitchen and they truly appreciate everything. They also have group sign up options so you can volunteer with your school, church group or work event. Anyways I definitely recommend for you to check it out! :)

My wife and I visited Open Hand Atlanta to volunteer our time for a couple of hours to prep meals…read more Open Hand provides nutritional meals for those with chronic diseases, such as AIDS/HIV, different forms of cancer, etc. These nutritional meals promote and prolong healthier way of life. Once you arrive and sign in, you'll be taken to a waiting room area, where Open Hand staff gives you a rundown of their history and what their mission is. You also get the rules of the prep room and are gifted a one of a kind hairnet, plastic apron, and men with facial hair gets face masks. No jewelry may be at any time. Rings, necklaces, earrings, facial piercings, watches, etc. can NOT be worn. There are different things that you can do at this space, but I wanted to do meal prep. We washed our hands and grabbed plastic gloves. Keep in mind, the gloves are different sizes. The meal prep was like an assembly line. The meal we prepped was Beef Stroganoff on Noodles with Green Beans. With a scale, the first person weighed the appropriate number for the noodles, the second person weighed the right number of beef stroganoff, and the third person weighed the right number for green beans. There is then a fourth person who wipes off any excess food from around the rim of the food container. This is important so the plastic cover will seal appropriately. It's then put in this contraption that holds multiple containers and a person press seals it and puts it to the side. This is definitely quite a process, but once you get into the flow of it, it becomes easier. Some people make it a challenge against another group to see who can make the most meals. Side note: THIS PLACE IS FREEZING! The ENTIRE BUILDING IS COLD! Bring a jacket or hoody. Overall, this is a great place to come with a group or by yourself and do some charitable services. Fortunately, we came with a large group of my wife's coworkers, so we were able to knock out over 2,500 meals which was awesome! I'd definitely come back.

Visited this pharmacy for the first time yesterday…read more Interior / Exterior This place was very hard for me to find. I was traveling from Marietta (north on Cobb Pkwy) and for some reason, my navigation had me turn left on Pine Mountain Court ... then right on Pine Mountain Way ... then left on Pine Mountain Rd. Almost immediately after I turned left on to Pine Mountain Rd, it announced that I'd arrived at my location. I was next to bunch of trees. I made a U-turn and turned left into the parking lot I'd just passed, but it turned out to be the Masjid Suffah mosque. I drove around for 20 minutes before I actually found the pharmacy. If you turn left on Pine Mountain Rd, they're a few feet ahead on the right. The sign at the street will say Cedar Creek Professional Center. There's plenty of parking. The interior is pretty barebones. It's mainly filled with boxes and packaging materials. Keep in mind, it's not a pharmacy WITH a sterile compounding pharmacy inside. It's solely a pharmacy & compounding pharmacy so there's no OTC meds, DME, snacks or tchotchkes. Price / Value Unsure how they compare to other pharmacies with regards to pricing because they're the only local pharmacy (I'm aware of) that compounds the injectable my Dr. prescribed. There is a significant discount for purchasing 3 months upfront, but since I wasn't certain how well I'll do / if I can tolerate it, I went with one month for now. Customer Service I saw all the previous reviews and about how hard they are to reach on the phone - and I gotta say - it's true. They are EXTREMELY hard to reach on the phone. When I was driving around panicking that they were going to close before I located them - I called 3 times to ask for help finding the building and could not get anyone to answer the phone. When I arrived, the receptionist wasn't on the phone - she was sitting at the desk - and I was still on hold - so I'm not sure what that was about. I think the people who answer the phones are in the back and there's a sign 'Now Hiring,' so I guess they're really short-staffed and that contributes to the phone answering issues. The voicemail greeting is also insanely long - and the option to speak to a patient care representative is listed AFTER the option to share your info for text updates. And it's the same # / option - so the greeting seems a bit convoluted. Before I ever visited, I got a phone call from them to collect payment. I told them I wanted to speak to my prescribing physician and I would call back in a few days. Each day, I got an automated call reminding me that I had an Rx there. But here's what's weird: the Rx wasn't even ready. The woman I'd spoken to said it would take 4 - 6 weeks after collecting my payment, for me to receive the Rx. And if I picked it up (versus shipping), it would be roughly 4 - 6 days. She was kinda snippy. And when I called back to pay, I spoke to another woman who was a little condescending and she kept interrupting me / not truly listening to me - so it made the conversation take WAY longer than it should have. So the automated system calling daily to remind a person that there's a Rx that's been called in, even once you talked to a staff member ... that seems like a bit much. I think the overall ordering process / system needs some tweaking. Despite all that, once I arrived and got my Rx, I asked if I could speak to someone about the Rx and that's when my customer service experience completely changed. Adam (the pharmacist on duty that day) was so patient and kind. He explained how I'd need to 'pinch an inch' at the '3pm or 9pm positions,' two or three inches away from my navel. He explained the importance of cleaning the vial's rubber stopper (the sternum) and my tummy, using the provided alcohol swabs, before injecting myself. That reminds me, the receptionist gave me my vial in sealed plastic mailer, but she neglected to give me syringes or alcohol pads, so if I hadn't asked to speak to Adam, I would have driven all the way back to Marietta without the necessary supplies and since they're closed on Sat & Sun, I would have had to wait to drive all the way back on Monday to pick everything up. And this is about a 35 minute drive (NOT counting the time I wasted looking for the building - lol). Once I arrived home, I discovered that they provide you with a handy dandy 'cheat sheet' with instructions / tips for administering a subcutaneous injection / injection to adipose tissue. Adam took the time to speak to me about the various mechanisms of action of this particular compound and he was super encouraging. He also gave me their new email address and told me to be sure to call with any questions. He's the reason I'm giving these folks 5 stars. Overall Overall, I think the phone tree / greeting needs some work and the people manning the phones could stand to be a little bit more patient / empathetic.

Given the high cost of the treatment and the lack of results, this was a waste of money for me. I raised my concerns, but the outcome did not align with what was represented during the consultation. I had to return several times for corrections, including filler dissolver, a small amount of Botox, and a chemical peel just to get the under-eye area to look normal again. Giving the spa another chance, I agreed to PCDC (Liquid Lipo) injections during one of my laser visits. She recommended three sessions, even though I wasn't sure I needed that many, but I trusted her professional opinion. The first injection was fine, but after the second one I bruised severely. Three months later, I still have dark spots and noticeable lumps in the areas that were treated. I kept on going back to her because she said to trust the process. I did, being patient, but none of the treatments worked. I hope in the future, she does more consulting instead of just taking people's money. Overall, none of the treatments delivered the results I expected, and the entire process created unnecessary stress, extra visits, and additional procedures. Based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this spa for cosmetic treatments.
