He was so knowledgeable about Pollock and Krasner's life and the art scene in which they lived during their time. The tour includes a look inside Pollock's studio, which is breathtaking as well as a tour of their home. The property is so tranquil and peaceful as well might I add. If you are an art lover/fan this tour is a must do!

I enjoyed reading about the equipment and the history of the LIRR. There is a little train that kids can ride in that goes around the yard and they love hearing the horn! In the Visitor's Center, you can see the Lionel Layout, which was moved from Michigan to Riverhead back in 2011 and it is truly something to behold. It is very interactive and there are plenty of buttons for kids (or adults!) to push to make things move or light up. The highlight is the model circus that was handcrafted by a local man. They might not make small talk about something else, but if you have train related questions, they are excellent resources. Admission was ten dollars & included unlimited train rides. Also included was access to old train cars & a large tent containing train sets & some very cool vintage locomotives. I'd forgotten how cool some of the toy trains were. The festival is located adjacent to the LIRR train stop - also got to see a large "real" train pass by. Nice event. Nice staff. Good value. The corn maze is fun & the hayride is a nice way to see the farm. Everyone is really nice & they even have a little store, where you can buy jam and sauces. I bought their Vidalia Onion BBQ Sauce this year & it's great! I always buy their butternut squash and their pumpkins are also reasonably priced. It's a decent size & more people should definitely stop on by.

I love this place…read more During the first time we came, around November, it was a full moon and we were told that conditions weren't so optimal. However, there were a lot of people out and the place was hopping. There were stargazers who had set up their own telescopes on the lawn, the domes were manned, and monitors were displaying what they were focused on with such amazing views. We went inside and queued up to be able to go upstairs to the big telescope (they bring up 15 people at a time), and the waiting area had a piano player that provided a lovely ambiance. There were a couple of staff members speaking and answering questions, and really learned quite a bit from them. Here's where it gets even better...it's run by volunteers and is free. There is no other place like it. They operate on donations from visitors (5 bucks), and dues from those who decide to become members. We fell in love with the experience that night and became members ourselves. I even had my girlfriend become a volunteer We returned on 12/21 for the Winter Solstice where they had a lecturer out front on the lawn with a laser pointer and he gave a talk about what was visible in the night sky. Bonus: it was completely dark. No moonlight. They served coffee, tea, hot cocoa, desserts and cookies from Erica's Rugelach, and there was quite a crowd that night despite it being 19 degrees out. No piano this time, but a very good guitar player provided lovely music. I don't know what it is about this location, but the stars seem much clearer, like they want to come out and show off. Spent quite a bit of time at the big scope, got to see Jupiter and its moons, Orion's Nebula, Mars, it's always a fantastic time here if you're into stargazing. If you want to do something off the beaten path on a Saturday night, this is the place. In my photos, you'll see the difference from when there was a full moon, and the night of the Winter Solstice.

When you walk in there is a gift shop with very pretty objects. This museum is not big by any means but its a good size and has a few exhibits. One exhibit we saw was kAWS which I loved. This museum also has a cafe where you can get snacks and drinks. They also have some seating there. This museum is on a great piece of land so it has greenery all over.
