We read a lot of reviews and I'm really glad we ended up going with The Maid Place. They sent a team of 5 for our first "deep" clean to start off our service and they worked so hard and so fast! I hired David's company for my Airbnb listings, but unfortunately, they are not equipped for the demands of short-term rentals. On several occasions, he sent a single cleaner to handle two 2,500 sq. ft. units--an impossible task for one person to do thoroughly. Furthermore, David insisted on being paid via PayPal 'Friends & Family' to avoid business fees, which I found unprofessional and risky for business accounting. Rather than taking any responsibility or acknowledging my actual experience, they've chosen to respond with personal attacks, made-up claims, and condescending language. Calling me "this lady," saying "prophecy fulfilled," and ending with "LOL" -- this isn't how a professional should ever speak to a customer, especially one who is currently pregnant and simply wanted a clean, safe space before welcoming a baby. Let me be clear: When the team asked if they could go over time, I said yes, just please make sure everything was completed. I was nothing but polite to the team -- I even offered them drinks and provided shoe covers when they couldn't find theirs. I gave them space to do their work in every room. The issue wasn't that the house was dirty -- it's a new build we moved into 3 months ago. I hired a deep clean specifically because I couldn't use harsh chemicals while pregnant. This response makes it clear that this business has no interest in feedback or accountability. And if you look at how they reply to any negative review, you'll see a pattern of defensiveness, gaslighting, and finger-pointing -- never an apology, never a lesson learned. What's most disappointing isn't even the poor cleaning job -- it's the way this company chooses to handle concerns. Instead of improving their service, they insult paying customers. My husband stumbled across Amanda and her team after the first cleaners we hired for a whole house deep cleaning were no shows and very unprofessional with their resolution 2 days in a row. This was the polar opposite when dealing with Amanda. My husband reached out yesterday (Sunday) and Amanda was able to schedule us for today with a 11:30-12:30 arrival estimate. He gave her team a 30 min grace period for them to arrive however after about an hour and still no one, he reached out. Amanda quickly jumped into action. She was not only apologetic but she was swift to find and dispatch another team. We were quoted for a team of 3 that will take around 3-4hrs however after this snafu she sent over a team of 5 and it would take around 1-1 1/2 hour. Now that's customer service!!! 5 ladies arrived quickly and got busy. They were also very professional and just sweet ladies. Now when I say our house was spotless...it was spotless! I don't know what products they used but our bathrooms look like they did when we first bought our house. I contacted David to see about deep cleaning my apartment to surprise my girlfriend and he was able to get a cleaning scheduled right away. Let me tell you, The quality work done far exceeds my expectations and work I've received from others in the past. I wish I could give 10 stars.. Carmen text me before hand to let me know she was on her way, showed up on time with supplies and was ready to get started. We did a quick walk thru of the apartment and she went right to work. She even asked how I prefer the floors be cleaned and what I would like her to use in the hardwood. David contacted me during the cleaning and mentioned they might go over a little on time and asked if that was ok. I agreed, well worth it! Once completed, she had me do a walk thru and I was blown away. She set my standard of clean at a new level. I initially contacted yesterday on May 23 based on so many positive reviews on Yelp and Amanda was able to schedule the same day cleaning for the afternoon on May 24, which I was pretty happy about. I was told that the team would come in btw 3-4 pm today. I made a deposit, signed the contract, and spent a few hours organizing in the house so it would be easier for them to clean up. Then the team did not show up till 4:05 pm so I called the office. David said he would check. At 4:22 pm, still no update. Texted asking for an update and cancelleation if they still don't know whereabout of the team. Called at 4:30 pm again. David answered and hung up on me when I asked for cancelleation. I was interested in biweekly cleaning so I started with an initial cleaning to see how everything went and I will DEFINITELY be scheduling biweekly moving forward! I spoke with the owner Amanda to set up the appointment, very easy no issues at all. Christian and his team showed up during the projected window for my appointment and they were amazing! They cleaned my 2600sq ft home in under 90 min, and it was spotless! I'm talking baseboards, windows, fans, flooring, bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen PLUS my microwave and double ovens which I didn't even expect!!! They were very thorough and FAST! Set an initial deep clean and the team showed on time, but the owner or team leader did not communicate well and caused unnecessary confusion on getting into house. The team did a fine job and I had communicated from the beginning and repeatedly, my intention to sign up for reoccurring service. Never challenged price. Paid the deposit immediately and as requested. Paid the balance immediately and just as requested. 3 weeks now and no communication from the business on setting up service. Now, I'd probably have to have the initial clean done again. Guess I'll be looking for another option. To owners response - what an awful time for your family. Hope he does well. But how was I supposed to know any of that? In hindsight, consideration for your family, maybe not taking on new clients would have been better for this time. Not the best, not the worst. We had our second service and have decided that this is not for us. We hired The Maid Place last month and our initial visit required a "Deep Clean." This service is to set the standard and will be maintained by the crew. This is not a cheap service, and is billed at an hourly rate. The crew did a good job on this cleaning, but did need guidance and direction you wouldn't expect when paying top dollar. My concerns were addressed and a small discount was offered. I would say at the time of this cleaning I was not impressed, but was willing to give the regular service a try since the "Deep Clean" was done. The regular service is billed at a flat rate. The team (5 employees) showed up on time. Out of all the team members, 2 really took a passion in their work and the other 3 sped through the jobs. Our deciding factors in not continuing service came from multiple areas missed in the clean and using our equipment with our asking. The equipment (vacuums) is only a big deal because they are supposed to bring their own, didn't ask to use them, and did not empty them after use. The areas not wiped down were the master bathroom vanities, the living room, the master bedroom window sills, the fireplace mantle, the granite around the kitchen sink, and all the pictures in the hallway. Instead of giving the business another chance, I went ahead and cancelled service. The owner is responsive and tries to make things right, but after the back and forth during the deep clean, I expected no issues with the regular clean.
