They seem to need work and they talk a wonderful plan and what their abilities are. But they don't desire it. They can careless that you need your home clean. Called for an appointment you have to answer a lot of information in the email. But in the end. No returned calls other to say they will get to you. But no follow-up or maid service provided. Very Kind over the phone service from their employees extremely professional. It's almost as if these people are not a maid service at all. They simply collect as much of your private life as they can but offer no cleaning at all. Why take customer information address cell & home numbers knowing your not going to provide any services. Government officials need to look into this. The BBB needs to look into this. Why are they gathering people's private information? They are providing NOTHING. read more

I called the maids after being in a complete frenzy walking into the house I was newly renting, and finding it to be completely filthy and not ready to move in to. I called before they had even opened and left a message inquiring about their services. They immediately returned my call when they opened and gave me their information and rates. No other service I called had 4 people cleaning with a comparable hourly rate. Some of the other services I called never even returned my call. The maids were extremely prompt and after I explained my situation to Sucheta, the manager, she told me she would do everything in her power to get the maids to my house by the afternoon! This worked perfectly because the house needed to be cleaned before we moved everything in! Sucheta also told me she could give me $25 off the 1 hour of service for mentioning that I had found the maids on yelp! I thought the hourly rate might have been a little high, but the maids ended up arriving that afternoon and I was extremely satisfied with their services! I walked in the kitchen and one of them had the stove completely pulled away from the wall! She cleaned every inch of the stove and oven including taking the burners off and scrubbing them! This would have taken me hours to do! The entire house looked squeaky clean when they left, and I loved having the piece of mind that it had been professionally deep cleaned!!! I love the maids, and I would definitely use them again in a heartbeat! read more

I had two cleanings at my home by The Maids. The first, I stayed at home throughout the cleaning. The second service I left to grab fast food and when I returned they had already left. That evening, I went to put on my wedding rings to go out for dinner and discovered my two wedding bands were where I keep the rings but my engagement ring was gone. No one else had been in my home that day and all three rings were in my jewelry case that morning. I immediately texted my contact at The Maids. The following day she responded just to say no one saw my ring. I made a police report and they would never respond to the investigating officer's calls. They advertise that they have liability and crime coverage. After a claim was opened, I was told by their carrier that they do not investigate but rather ask their insured (The Maids) to provide the evidence. When they were told by The Maids that they did not have any evidence, the insurance company simply closed the claim. Protect yourself and do not use this company. The Maids deserve commendation for professionalism, excellent cleaning and outstanding customer service. I think good work earns praise, and I am more than satisfied with my experience. The cost of services is above my average budget. Yes, it's true that The Maids are expensive. However, you get your money's worth. Four people show up and knock out the house cleaning in an hour; efficiently, politely and thoroughly. They work the house with a solid system that includes cleaning hard to reach or often ignored corners of the house. Plus, the back pack vacuum cleaner rocks! I've had lots of experience with contractors and cleaners, and I can say that the staff who came to my house offered the best service I've ever had. Of the few times I've hired The Maids, two of the times involved last minute arrangements. Sucheta, who manages the business, went out of her way to meet my needs. She was flexible, returned my calls promptly and offered the kind of customer service that makes the cost of their services worth every penny. In fact, today she managed to get a crew to my house while being understaffed and overworked. Any other business would have told me "tough luck," but Sucheta made it happen because she cares about her customers. What else can I say? Hire them. You'll be happy with the results. read more

I had The Maids to come in and do a thorough deep cleaning of my apartment. They did not disappoint, our place looks fabulous! As the previous reviewer said, they got all the hard to reach places. They clean absolutely everything from the tops of doors, floorboards, ceiling fans, blinds, under furniture, microwave, cabinets, everything! I was actually going through the house looking for something not cleaned and I couldn't find anything. The previous reviewer mentioned that they felt it was expensive, however for a first time deep clean, I felt it was reasonable. They also quoted me for weekly and monthly cleanings which were less than the 1st clean. Also mention Yelp and they will give you $25 off. We hired The Maids to clean prior to my wife's 40th birthday party. Cleaning for events like this is always a big stress and really takes a lot of enjoyment out of occasion. We both work, have three dogs, and an eight year old, so a thorough cleaning is a big job in our house. The four-person cleaning crew did a terrific job. I also like that they try to have the same cleaning team come every time. I've gotten to know the red team members and they really take pride in their work. I was having a bunch of family come into town and last minute needed my house cleaned. I usually use Better Life Maids,but they did not have any appointments. I had used the maids once before and had a good result. When I came home I noticed my dog was acting strange but thought it was simply due to having the vacuum going for an hour or so (not his favorite). When I did a walk through of my house I was slightly annoyed because they did not follow my directions on how I like my beds made. I just re-made the beds and let them know on my customer survey. Then I went to the basement where my laundry was located. When I opened my door I notice a large bloody hole in my wall. The cleaners had lured my dog to my windowless unfinished basement while they cleaned. Clearly they would have heard him scratching (until he bled) in a panic to get out. I had notified them when I set up my account that I have a dog. I always notify cleaning people, handymen, etc. that I have a lab that will be home when you get there and if that is a problem I can use someone else. Also, I have a fenced in yard. If you needed him out of the way for awhile that would seem a more logical choice then locking him in a basement. Also, I think the entire situation warranted them calling me, or at minimum leaving a note! I immediately called Sucheta. She said she had noticed that my customer survey was not what they were hoping for. She apologized about the beds and said that they cleaning crew could not read English so they probably did not understand my note about the beds. That is fine, but then when you confirm the appointment you need to let people know that if they have any special instructions for day of to relay them now. Also, I relayed the whole ordeal with my dog. Sucheta was apologetic and said she would contact me on Monday to check on my dog and set up a time to fix my wall. No one contacted me on Monday, but they did charge my credit card! I was really nice and respectful about the entire incident. I was just going to let them fix the wall and quietly part ways. I guess if you are not belligerent or do not publicly shame them on the internet they do not really care about your displeasure with their service. The Maids definitely meet if not exceed the expectations set by their advertisement. They scrubbed the house from top to bottom including hard to reach places. They moved our furniture to vacuum, dusted our ceiling fans and blinds, and vacuumed the couch. Sucheta, the operations manager, stopped by to ensure her staff was doing their very best....and they did just that. We were very impressed with their attention to detail. Scheduled an appointment and the scheduler on the phone gave me a range of what I would be charged for my first cleaning. I told her I only wanted our first level cleaned (1600 sq ft); one bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, office and a small library with the staircase. She told me it would be within the range of $182-$247. She also informed me that my card would not be charged until I gave the OK. I get home and the job was well done; however I look at my bill and it is for the amount of $315.00; a difference of $68! $10 or even $15 ok, but $68?? I also looked at my card and I was charged for the full amount without my permission. I called immediately on the day that they cleaned and left a message with no response, so I waited over the weekend and still no reply. I called the corporate and they transferred my call. I spoke with the lady and she said that the range is a guesstimate, Until they see the house a final price can not be given.....whats the point of a range? We were going to have them clean every week and thought about the upstairs as well, but that would run almost $700/week? No thank you. More communication and better customer service is definitely needed. Side note two weeks prior we had a company come in and clean so it was not like our house was a disaster. read more

"The maids came to clean my apartment on a Friday morning. I was quoted by Julia 148.00 an hour for four maids. They walked in at 8:30 am, they called and were leaving at 10:20 am. I was nearby and saw their yellow car already up the block after they left. I get into the house and have a Thank YOU, with a bill of 371.00. It was a spring clean. Julia called, she knew they were not here that long because she came by while I was out at 10 and they were basically done. She didn't charge me but also my mini blinds they dusted, on two of my window blinds were broken. My curtains were closed so I notified her later. The cleaning was a mere satisfactory but I did not feel my home was respected. (gave my credit card in advance),. No clutter was left around or on floors. I took off work early to make sure they could clean with ease. Julia charged me 222.00 but was not responsive to the fact that I owe my landlord for two sets of blinds due to the damage they did. I called the international number, spoke with Julie, after leaving a message. Early in the conversation she said,, "So what do you want"? I found that extremely unprofessional. I said, it would be nice to have a discount on cleaning, I believe in second chances, I want to make them aware, and or my blinds replaced. She said she would call me back, after speaking with the blue team. Contrary to what she posted, which is my frustration with this company, Julie made it look like my credit card decline was intentional. Not so. It had been lost in the week it took for them to actually charge my number. Also, as soon as I was called, I paid my bill in full, while on the phone. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM OR RECOMMEND THE MAIDS TO ANYONE EVER. Just bypass and go to professionals who are honest and act upon their mission, not just talk about it. If the maids want to make it up to me, they could have but they never ever offered a discount or reimbursement for my broken property. These are some incredible ladies! I just moved into an apartment that had cats with the previous owner (I'm allergic). The rental company said they cleaned but after staying the first night I found out it wasn't enough as I had terrible allergies still. I called around 11 and Sucheta (operations manager) both emailed me an estimate and called me back within 20 mins. I explained to her my situation and she said they could do a deep cleaning later that day! They came at 1pm, a team of 4 wonderful ladies along with Virginia (a manager I think), and after seeing me and a friend trying to move in a coach they actually came and helped bring it into the house! I couldn't have done it without them and it was so above and beyond what I expected of their services. Everyone was very courteous and they cleaned every inch of my apartment, including inside cabinets and vacuuming my coach and mattress! They finished within an hours and a half (including helping with the couch!) and charged about $210 total for the deep clean treatment (hourly rate $140 for four women). I honestly would recommend this service to anyone and will only use them from now on. Couldn't be happier! read more

I live out of town but still own a condo in St. Louis. I found The Maids online and wanted to use their service because their location is close to my condo. I'm glad I found them! I left a message when I first called and received a call back very quickly. The lady was extremely polite and eager to help me. We scheduled an appointment and the service was completed a few days later when it was convenient for me to have someone let them into the condo. A friend of mine went to the condo afterward and said the condo looked great, and The Maids did a thorough cleaning. I am very happy with the service and will use them again in the future! read more

The Maids did an excellent job cleaning my college apartment. We had subtenants living in our apartment during the summer, and when we returned, the place was a mess. Hiring The Maids was a great decision. It was worth the cost and much better than the alternative (hours of dusting and scrubbing). Upon completion of the next cleaning, we were presented a bill for 233.00. I called to inquire about the discrepancy and was told that Suchetta always under bids the jobs and the rate is 233.00. The Maids cleaned my home many years ago and did a fantastic job! I have used other cleaning services in the past-and few thoroughly clean your home from "top to bottom". I recently called them to clean my home again. My appointment was scheduled for a Friday at noon as I work most mornings. I received a call confirming my time the day before. I was at work and they arrived one hour early??? I was very disappointed in the level of cleaning that was done..so many areas they missed-lower part kitchen windows were clean, but the completely missed the upper part on both windows..the outside glass of my atrium doors were missed...the counter top behind my expresso machine was untouched, laundry room floors were still dirty-as I went to wipe the dirt off the areas I spotted my cloth was extremely soiled & front of washer/dryer untouched. They left a bag of trash on the ground outside side entry. When they departed, they drove into my landscape light. The last thing someone should have to do us clean after you pay $295 to hire a professional service . I was hoping to receive a follow-up call from someone asking for feedback..but I heard nothing.
