I chose to try The Makers Market for a date night. (my boyfriend was the only guy there which was a shame because this is a GREAT date idea- he didn't mind being the only guy. We had a ton of fun) the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I was nervous because I picked the most expensive sign to do on my first try and didn't want to mess it up. It came out great! From helping me understand the distressing process with a power sander, to color choices, to teaching me how to use a nail gun and applying my stencilthey; were so helpful. My boyfriend and I couldn't stop talking about how it was one of our favorite date nights ever and we'd have to go back. We left with what looked like professional signs that we did ourselves! I loved the project but I had a mishap and arrived late. I was 45min late but quickly caught up with little help from the attendants. But I was decisive and focused, I would not recommend arriving late if you can help it. Mostly because I felt the ladies helping us were extremely rude to me, to the point where my friends noticed. They acted super annoyed I was late. I caught up to the point where I was ready for my stencil to be applied before some of my earlier arriving people. And yet they treated me like a Pariah. I would give them another chance as maybe they would be kinder if I had been on time. They were extremely patient with those who had arrived on time. read more

What a FUN experience! Get your friends together and enjoy a fun night making signs that you WILL actually hang up and display in your home! (That's what I did!) You use power tools, so men can have just as much fun! The best part is you can personalize everything to be how YOU want it. (Colors, designs, sizes, etc) Jenny and Jen were awesome and helped as needed along the way. I will definitely be returning to make more designs. So glad to have this place close by! I love this place. It's so strange how much my old bosses at the ice cream store next door despised this business as neighbors. I guess it's hard to swallow when everyone around you is so successful and your just starting off. I always thought the art work they made possible to the public was so beautiful. I love their little saying " we are cheaper than therapy and we have glitter " so adorable. Can't wait to make a date to do some fancy woodwork decor for my new house. Alone, with a group or even for a date night- you'll have a blast and leave with a beautiful project! This was my third vviait too the workshop, but probably my favorite trip. It's alwAyss ffun, but our instructor was a blast and we created gnomes- how could that be bad? The gnomes had a bunch of pArts to paint so it was great we went on a slow night. We had plenty of room to scatter our project and not crowd others. It's a great way to spend an evening with friends. The room is filled with inspiration in case creativity isn't flowing naturally. So many more projects to make! Always a blast.. read more

Went for the first time with a big group of female friends/family and it was SO MUCH FUN! I've done painting with a twist before and was less than impressed with it because unless you are good at art, let's be honest, your painting sucked. This, however, was perfect for any level of artistic talent across the board. The ladies were very fun and helpful, but not overbearing or in the way. This is by far the best place to go for a custom sign or gift. Jenn designed a rememberance sign to honor my dad and she couldn't have done a more wonderful job, she brought me to tears when I saw the proof. Was there last night to complete the project and their staff could not have been more warm and welcoming. I've been a few other times to make projects and love going back.
