I have a really…read moregood experience with faulty and students here, but overall, the school environment is not Christian friendly. 1.this is mostly a sports school. So if your child is an academic kid, don't sent them here because they favorite athletes, bring there grades up, etc. and even then they don't paid for their track field. 2.they do fundraisers, but only for their selves. Not for other churches, homeless people, etc. as Christian's we should donate to our neighbors and care for others. We even have to pay for our own parties, food, etc. all this money and they can't even paid for us. 3. Most teachers teaching was slow because most students would act up and hold our education hostage. And some teachers only give us assignments once a week and nothing else. Even high school, I was in eighth grade, but felt like I learned more than the ninth graders when I was in 7th grade. Because even their work looked very ez. 4. Clubs: they don't have that much to offer for again, academic kids 5. Rules: they have stupid rules like not having your phone in your pocket. Like that just wild. Or other rules like can't wear a RIVERDALE jacket in school. It ruins the point of having it. 6.lunch: now the lunch is good, but fast food everyday is not good, especially for a mostly sports school. Overall, I like the community, but I don't like the system.

Most of their problems are rooted in administration, which tries to teach students at the same time and expend minimal effort. Basic best practices were refused i.e. Assignment Books and parents were treated with hostility when requesting basic 504 / IEP supports such as Signing Assignment Books. There was next to no cooperation when attempting to coordinate with external support / medical services. They had minimal Google Classrooms proficiency so my child lost significant, uncompensated instruction time. Staff could not be reached much of the time. I could continue, but this is a pretty clear image of the school: a special education school without any special education.

We had our baby there for about 6 months, they never followed the COVID procedures they committed to which resulted in three closures for a total of almost 6 weeks during that time. The communication was terrible - we never knew what was going on in class, who the teachers were, or why teacher after teacher and assistant director after assistant director were there one day and gone the next. The activities in the fancy lesson plans they send you weren't followed (for example, they almost never went outside), the teachers were unhappy, and I've never witnessed a manager yell at their staff like I did at drop off at Goddard. It got to the point that we couldn't trust what anyone was saying about our kiddos care and we left at that point. As first time parents we didn't know that 6 months of our kid being miserable at drop off wasn't normal, we feel really lucky that we left Goddard and are settled at a place where drop off and pick up are an ease, communication is regular, and the teachers love our kiddo.

I have never seen a faculty that pretends to know so little about the law, it's like they are simply learning as they go (mainly the principal). You can't require a parent of a disabled child to attend a field trip or threaten that the child won't be able to participate, because you are short staffed. That's a violation of the law (IDEA?) and discrimination. That was my initial experience with the current principal, and things have gone downhill since. They should really lose their funding for targeting children with disabilities, as it appears this Charter School is now a business, opening multiple schools, and hiring former Hedge Fund/Investment managers (Gregory Gann for example) to guide them. This is not about the children anymore. I will do my best in Washington to stop the government from funding these "investment firms" that pretend to be educational facilities.
