Saw Yaya Spa pop up on Groupon and decided to give it a try. It is in the Kalakaua Plaza along with a lot of other massage businesses. Yaya Spa is located on the first floor. Parking is validated but still need to pay $2. Their normal parking spot was filled, so I had to go through a mini goose chase to get to the right parking. Another note, when I mentioned I had a groupon, the lady at the front desk started to freak out saying I had been there before. Obviously, it was my first time. And even if I was a returning groupon customer, no where does it say it is for first time customers only. Had to ding a star for that. Like many others have said, this location is Chinese/Mandarin based, so communication could be a bit more difficult. Onto the massage! I opted for the 70 min deluxe body massage with hot stone and body scrub. I want to say my masseuse was Ana, but forgot her name. Ana did a good job doing a full body massage. I never had a full body scrub before so that was quite the experience. I was expected to get wiped down, but they led me to a shower to get the exfoliants off after the massage. The massage itself was cut a bit short also. All in all, Groupon faithfuls can purchase with confidence. Yaya is definitely one of the better places in the building. I went on a weekday and it was so nice and relaxing. When I called in, they were accommodating and allowed me to pick any time. When we drove into the parking lot, the owner came out and walked us from the garage to the shop. Vicky and Andy were amazing masseuses, asking us what kind of pressure we wanted and asking us throughout how we felt.
