I was impressed with the size of this toy store and excited to see that they carry many of my favorite toy brands like Folkmantis, Calico Critters and Ravensberger puzzles. They had a lot of fun sounding games I hadn't heard of as well. Aside from high quality toys and puzzles Shenanigans also had some really nice seasonal stuff like Advent calendars. My husband and I explored for quite awhile and finally landed on a Jellycat branded stuffed animal for a friend. For such a lovely store I would have expected there to be a little bit more in the way of service. For the fifteen minutes we spent in there the only acknowledgement we received was three words when we checked out - twenty-three seventeen. Maybe the employee was just having a hard day.

Just about everything except D&D figures--no big whoop!…read more So(!), was in the area the other day. Someone told me about this place years ago, never bothered till now. Managed to get there on a good day, easy parking. it's a small shopping center, y'know? Walking in, it literally was wall-to-wall vintage collectibles. Many still in their packages. Walking through it all brought a sense of nostalgia, but at the same time I felt a dull pain--in my wallet. Whatever your focus is, collecting can be expensive and time consuming. Star Wars, Barbie, He-Man, Star Trek (to a lesser extent)...DC/Marvel superheroes. Collectible toy cars (Hot wheels, etc.). There's a lot to look at. Some in their own package, some bagged specifically for the store. 85% of what's there are action figures and such. The rest is a mix of collectible comics, toy cars, and other odd bits. I'd say the prices are reasonable, though a handful of the limited edition collectibles (such as a Sideshow figure of Ghost Rider on his flaming bike) had prices which gave heart palpitations. Era-wise, I'd say the vast majority of toys there are mid-70's on. So there are toys related to "The Six Million Dollar Man", as an example. There were some older 50's era pieces as well. And, like i said, some comics. If I had more time to look I would've stayed longer, but time's the one thing I didn't have. Speaking of which, they were out of the one thing I was looking for. Not a problem, though. If it's not there I won't be tempted to buy it. One more thing: They opened up a 'dollar store' version of the shop a few doors down. It has what you'd expect to find there.

Every age bracket is represented from newborns, to toddlers, up through tweens. The variety of toys is mesmerizing and you'll enjoy just walking through each of the sections. Children can choose between areas such as, Stem toys, legos, dress up, games, crafts, books, dolls, and the largest array of Calico Critters I have ever seen in person. They offer complimentary gift wrap on all your purchase that they do before you even walk away fRom the counter. For kids birthdays they have a open closet with baskets that children can fill up with things that they want for their birthday then people can just come to the store and pick out of those particular items which gift to grant your kid. It's called the Birthday Vault. :) There's even an online wishlist too. They also offer a variety of activities throughout the month that you child can participate in with our local kiddies. Check their Facebook page for the calendar. While their prices are not the cheapest in comparison to Amazon, Target and Walmart for the same toys, there's something about being able to hands, look, touch things in person and in some instances actually play with the toy. There's also the top notch customer service and instant gratification of leaving with a toy I hand and wrapped if needed. Love this store!!!
