I learned about TMVTPC from a co-worker who met Sophie at the Bridal Extravaganza. One look at the website and I knew I had to have her do my sister's bridal tea. I was co-hosting with 3 other ladies, so I sent them to the website and they fell in love. We were worried it would be out of our price range, but when I spoke with Sophie she was very willing to work within our budget. Throughout the planning stage, Sophie had wonderful communication and suggestions. We opted to do vintage hair and makeup the day of the party. Sophie's vintage hostess and stylist Shannon, made us all look and feel beautiful. Once I saw all the work Sophie and her girls put into the planning, decoration, fantastic food and service, it was hard for me to believe it was all within our budget. I have co-hosted many showers, but this was the first time I was ever able to fully enjoy it. Sophie and her girls took care of everything! I went to bed that night feeling happy and relaxed. Not at all like I usually feel after hosting a party (I am usually exhausted and cranky and my legs hurt, etc. from all the work I had to do). My daughter wanted to have a vintage tea party instead if a traditional baby shower. I was all for it. Sophie furnished all of the decorations, many of which she handmade to fit the occasion. A draped a banner with the baby's name that she personally cut and pasted was just one of the personalized touches she added to the party. The homemade scones, chocolate dipped figs, and teacup shaped sandwiches were just a few of the goodies we enjoyed. I almost forgot the amazing white chocolate strawberry cake with real whipped cream. Yum! Each guest was greeted at the door with a bubbly glass of champagne. What a welcome! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE! I hired Sophie & her team to do a bridal shower for a dear friend, and we were all blown away.... From start to finish this was out of this world fabulous, professional, and I will definitely be using TMVTPC for future parties. The hostesses were such a treat, as was the stunning menu, décor, flowers, china etc. They had everyone up doing the Charleston, and out Champagne flutes were never empty. Over the past weekend, Marvelous Vintage Tea Party Co. did a 1920's tea party Baby Shower for my daughter and husband. WOW!!! What fun! Everyone was encouraged to come dressed in the era and they did!!! Sophie decorations were fabulous!! Pearls- vintage tea cups--dishes--pictures--table covers-- flowers--vintage 20's music-- it looked and felt like we walked into a local 1920's parlor! Sophie even taught us the Charleston!!! And then the food--oh my goodness-- everything was so delicious and perfect. Sophie and her helpers -3 beautiful young ladies :) -- provided outstanding service and were such a delight to everyone. I went to a best friend's birthday party last weekend and I was just blown away. Julie had hired "The Marvelous Vintage Tea Party Co" to arrange the catering and everything was just perfect. Julie asked for a Fancy Dress Party around the theme of Hollywood Stars, Marvelous Vintage Tea Party Co arranged for the catering in theme too, so we had fancy china, Street of Stars shaped sandwiches and the Hollywood Hills Sign for the cake. Exquisite service (from very glamorous servers!) of champagne and food on silver servers just topped it off. The Marvelous Vintage Tea Party Company created the most amazing setting, treats and beverages for my sip-n-see party! Every guest commented on how much they enjoyed the entire experience and how unique it was. The food was decadent - scones with homemade clotted cream, pate on butterfly toastettes, cakes, chocolate dipped strawberries, and this awesome punch with a special ingredient that Sophie ordered from England. The best thing is that I didn't lift a finger...and neither did my friends/family that threw me the party. The tea party crew did it all, and you could tell they really enjoyed doing it. My friend's mother and I recently hosted a 1920s Tea Party themed baby shower in my home and it was an absolute success! Sophie and the hostesses were extremely professional and remained in character throughout the event. While baby showers have a connotation of being boring and dull, this baby shower was filled with fun entertainment throughout the evening. The food was delicious and the cocktails were a hit. Sophie was kind enough to give a tea party for our Girl Scout Troop - ten little seven-year-olds who were practicing table manners!
