3-stars is being kind. But at the same time, it's good for this civilization-deprived, gorgeous area to have another place for the permanent residents to go to. I do think better days are ahead for this 'resort,' and they are getting a serious mulligan from me in 2023. Kudos to local entrepreneur Steve Emtman and family for taking a chance on something special for the Deer Meadows/Seven Bays area. It is a risk that I do think will blossom in years to come. How-ev-ah... It's a counter-order, pay up front, tip expected, delivered to table facility. That doesn't necessarily bother me, but the current staff have absolutely no initiative to go faster than a cartoon sloth. Seriously, we were in no rush, but c'mon. Order; make food; serve food. We were some of the first folks to arrive after opening, and after quite a long time--and many more people coming in--my 'uh oh' meter was pinging. We got our meals and had half a dozen other tables looking at us with envy. The food was okay, at best. Not a good recipe for success. We came to have a good meal, not a great view of Lake Roosevelt that we already have from the back deck on our vacation property. And let's consider having an option for a BYO pie, to offset the very, very strange array of non-traditional pizzas offered on the menu. Bleu Cheese, Chorizo, Honey and....coffee grounds? Really? I guess that might be a stoner's dream pie, right? My hope is the Emtmans will consider menu and personnel changes in the very early stages of this endeavor...

Emma love's pepperoni pizza

We have visited several times this year and have enjoyed it! The food has always been good and staff is friendly. The view of the lake is amazing. If you're a weekend only-city dweller it might not be your usual 5 star restaurant but for my family it is! Wishing the Maverick Pub much success!

PB&J Calzone, share this dessert treasure with your whole party!

We've been here a few times. Came in to watch the UW Huskies game and have dinner. Bacon blue salad, very fresh. Pizza's were great, thin crust, wood fire. My fave was Hawaiian with sausage. The pineapple cider, wow. But... The crazy surprise of the night...PB&J Calzone. Holy cow; gooey, sweet, dessert goodness. Well done Mav.

Ask the Community - The Maverick Pub

Is this place open?I have been calling the number for 5 days now it's also same number as the hotel & it goes straight to voicemail says nobody has set up yet. No response to emails .This doesn't seem legit for a company. Can someone tell me

It is my understanding that they are open Thursday-Sunday, 3-9 pm, however they keep changing their hours. You might try their FB page, The Mav Pub at Sunday Bay Resort. Good luck.

I have had Big Barn Brewing a couple of different times now. The location where they are seems like…read morea fairly large facility in Mead which is north of Spokane. There are lots of signs where you can purchase and pick berries. At the brewery itself it lives up to it's namesake as the brewery is in a barn. One side of the brewery is a stage and a fair amount of outdoor seating while on the other side is a sizeable parking lot which is good as this brings in a lot of people it seems. The inside of the barn is nice and roomy like a lot of these barn breweries are and even though it was busy it was spacious where everyone had some space. But now onto the beer! The Black Dog Stout was one of the three beers we had. This was a good, solid stout. It had coffee elements and sweetness in the flavor profile. The beer was smooth and creamy which is how a good stout should be as well as the hue which is nice and dark. The following beer really put us in a quandary as to which of the remaining two would be our favorite. The Bailar Con Maiz was the next beer we had and we were just thrilled to have it. Of course I am very partial to Mexican Lagers this one was excellent and one of the best ones I had in recent memory. This beer is malty, corn flavor, smooth and light bodied. The final beer was also excellent and I think had a slight edge over the Mexican Lager as it was so different and good. The Mead Honey Lager was the next one and it was so good and so unique! It had that mead essence going on due to the honey. The beer is sweet if that isn't obvious because of the Honey but not too much and has a dry flavor features at play. Also this beer is smooth and light bodied. The three beers we had we really enjoyed and hope to try out more Big Barn beer options in the future!

With a mission to get out of the house and into nature, the 7 of us ventured to a beautiful berry patch in Mead, WA. We came, saw and conquered gallons of fresh raspberries and blueberries before heading to the adjacent brewery for a bite and brew. PROs: +Free parking! +Both indoor and outdoor seating for parties of all sizes and picnic tables on the lawn. + Insane variety of beer options - from lagers and wheats to IPA's and seasonal flavors - there is something for everyone! + Friendly service and cheap pints! + Food trucks park out front featuring all kinds of delicious eats! We noshed on Thai food which we all loved! + Amazing views and live music really created the perfect atmosphere and vibe for a Friday evening! CONs: NONE! A must for all in Mead! :)

My wife and I go out for dinner…read moreabout 2-3 times per week. 5/27/26 was our 4th or 5th (and LAST) time we have been to 291 brewhouse. We had a party of 11. The place was not very busy for a Wednesday. The service was absolutely horrific. Everyone was served drinks in a reasonable amount of time. After about 25 minutes the blonde waitress finally came back to check on us. She asked if anyone wanted more drinks but did not take orders. She brought 2nd drink orders about 10 minutes later and took orders. After another 20 minutes a few orders were delivered. A few more orders came out 10 minutes later. Mine and my 4 year-old grand-daughter's order had still not arrived by the time most had finished their meals. Blonde finally brought out my orders of wings after I complained and offered to take them off my bill. I told her I no longer wanted them as everyone else was finished. About 5 minutes later my grand-daughter's food was delivered. We had to ask for it to be put in a to-go box. Then came the bill, which was divided 3 ways and included a gratuity of 20%. I asked about the 20% gratuity as I had no intention of leaving any tip for the bad service. I was told because of the "large group" the 20% was added. Mind you, I refused my food because it was brought out after everyone had finished eating. There was no offer to remove the gratuity. There was no apology, only excuses that the service was so slow because of how busy they were. Again it t was a Wednesday, they were not busy. This is the worst experience I have ever endured in my many years of dining out. I will never come back and caution others who consider dining here. Brian
