Was driving through on a road trip and was craving some good food and boy did we find the right spot! The staff/bartender was extremely friendly and informative. I ordered a turkey sandwich and soup - which were both delicious. The space inside is pretty big with plenty of seating. They have an assortment of food and beers so there is something for everyone. They also have a small selection of card and board games. And lastly! Their bathroom was very clean. 100% would recommend to stop by. I am sure this is a great place to hangout after work, but also a great brunch spot. read more

A friend and I had a nice long lunch at Iron Goat Brewing today. This is an almost beer-free review. Lunch time on a workday for him. Very clean interior with a nice setup for different party-types. I had the banh mi burrito and he had the daily special burrito. It was a spicy bbq chicken burrito (of some sort: sorry didn't catch exactly what it was). My banh mi burrito was excellent! Just so good. The flavors mingled in the burrito perfectly. A little pricey but it was huge. We both had root beers. They were ok. They were prepared with their nice sparkling water but used Torani syrup to flavor it. I was hoping for a true brewed root beer. The staff was friendly and kept us apprised of the status of our food preparation. Great place. I'll return next time I'm in town. read more

The bartenders were okay but didn't check on me during my meal. The beer was great though, merchandise was on point. I would go back to check it out again. Stopped on way to airport for dinner on Sunday .... Expected it to be good based on reviews. IT WAS SPECTACULAR..... will return on next trip thru Spokane. The Beet salad is almost worth a day trip to Spokane .... We had the special of day pizza, beet salad & mixed green salad. I can't rave enough. Delicious. Flavorful. Perfect balance among savory flavors. Pizza crust not too thin and not too thick - chewy but only just perfectly! My husband had beer which he liked a lot - was very happy with selection. I had a kombucha like soda they make. As with the food ... beverages did not disappoint!! Give it a try .... I can't wait to return. read more

Good brews after a hot day. The squeeze had Sheep Go to Heaven IPA and I had the King Puck Northwest IPA. Both very decent beers. Lots of room in this brewery. Friendly staff but again, $3 stickers. A star off for that. We didn't eat there. read more

We tried Iron Goat Brewing for lunch. In addition to indoor seating they have an outdoor patio which was great for dining al fresco. Since we had been traveling for almost two weeks we were both craving some vegetables and ordered salads. I had the Grazing Goat and my partner ordered the special which was a caprese. The goat was fantastic with pickled red onion, radish, cucumber, and almonds. Light, fresh, really good flavor. My partner liked the caprese but said it was too heavily dressed which when I saw all the dressing left in the bowl, I had to agree. He also really liked the Buzzsaw McThunder IPA. The food, service, and ambiance were all good. Would be happy to return. read more

Me who moved to San Diego right out of high school in 1986 and visits Spokane once every few years: "Yeah, Becky and I have been there". Then I sent a picture of the growler we picked up from there in 2020. LOL! Back in Spokane in 2023, we hit Iron Goat again and again it was great! Becky ordered the Chile Lovers Bowl with Pork. Jasmine rice, charred jalapeño and poblano salsa, pepper jack cheese, spicy pickled peppers, poblano cotija cheese, avocado, chipotle sour cream, cilantro, choice of protein: steak, pork, chicken, or tofu. The pork was smoky, tender, and flavorful. The other ingredients were perfect compliments to each other. The peppers offered a great heat. She loved it! It was a lot of food. We took a bunch with us. We both very much enjoyed it the following day. I had the BBQ Quesadilla - (The online menu shows chicken, mine had pork). Roast chicken, smoked onion and red wine BBQ sauce, mozzarella, pickled red onion, cilantro, on 14" flour tortilla, served with side of house chipotle sour cream. It was great! The pork was tender and tasty. The BBQ sauce, clearly house made, was soooo good! Being from San Diego, Becky and I are very skeptical of any Mexican or Mexican-fusion food anywhere else. My friend and I were driving through and were looking for lunch, we wanted something fresh, we also like breweries. This place was perfect. I ordered the 2nd Ave combo pizza. My friend ordered the turkey sandwich. She said it was good, but not what she was craving. The pizza was delicious!! I like a thin crust where the toppings get all the shine. The sauce was simple and not over powering. It's a shame I live so far. The staff were patient as we were deciding what to order, the chef accidentally dropped the pizza coming out of the oven so we had to wait 10 ish minutes for the next one. Meanwhile my friend had already been given her food. She insisted on waiting for my food, so hers wasn't as fresh. We weren't looking to make a fuss, accidents happen not a big deal. But our pizza got refunded, which was more than we would have expected. It was very generous of them, seeing as how I still ate the pizza for 3 days! read more

Really great brewery with delicious food and even more delicious beer! The building itself is absolutely gorgeous with red brick and large open windows. My spouse and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and really enjoyed ourselves. We got a beer flight and enjoyed a nice lunch. Highly recommended the cubano sandwich--one of the best I've ever had! I was at Iron Goat several years ago when they just had a tasting room and no restaurant. Since then they relocated and have a good looking food menu involving pizzas and sandwiches. We got here just before the kitchen was going to close so we got our orders in quick as well as beer order and relaxed. For their beer I got their blonde which was very enjoyable and had a good breadiness to it. Very easy to drink! For food I got their Cuban Sandwich which was wonderful! But of course I was starving but I'm sure it would have been great too if I was less hungry. Lol! They have fun t shirts and that is something I always zero in on while at a brewery but alas they were out of many sizes so perhaps another time when the stock is replenished. read more

This was my first time here. The atmosphere is relaxed, you get your own water and clean up you own station but the food was fresh. The Second Avenue was tasty and balanced, the Pear and Blue cheese had a sweet drizzle over the top I didn't care for and the Steak and Mushroom was very flat and flavorless. Next time I would order the Second Avenue again but I would pass on the other two. As for drinks, they had an interesting selection of beer and ciders but I wasn't able to try as I was at work. The Goat. In town for a night, made the right choice, tasty beers, really good food and good service. I had the Corbano special (Cubano with corned beef) and green curry potato soup, both were spot on tasty, the sandwich was juicy and stacked, yum. My wife and I flew to northern Iowa through Spokane to see my sister and brother-in-law. My sister recommended The Iron Goat. Big find! I ordered a couple of IPAs and they were both great and our server was from Alaska and was fantastic. We visited again in 4 days and she helped us out again. The first time, I ordered the recommended from my sister, the banh-mi pizza. It was excellent. Perfect crust and a nice and piquant sauce with pickled vegetables on it and not too much cheese. A must try. If you don't like pizza though, the second time I went back, I ordered the Cuban with a salad with Caesar dressing. Salad was pretty good, but the Cuban was top five. My wife got the pretzel and was fantastic. She got some extra stone ground mustard and the cheese dip was wonderful. Great decor and my wife bought a t-shirt as well. We loved this place! read more

We needed a place to recoup from the craziness of Spokane and the goat was it. Huge place, friendly, hot and helpful staff. Drinks were right on and the food was supa tasty. This place wasn't on my list, but ended up meeting some friends here who had been wanting to go. Great interior, lots of seating and good vibes. You order at the counter which makes it to the point, options for food or appetizers with tap drinks. They had a big selection of beers to choose from and a handful of ciders. I got the mushroom soup which was tasty on a winter night, my friends got different Macs and the Bahn Mi with Tofu. All 4/5. If you're coming at night with a group of girls, isn't in the most walkable area... probably five or six blocks from the well-travel path. Street parking with not great lighting around. My favorite thing about this place is just the sheer amount of seating and space for larger groups, many stops in downtown don't have those amenities. read more

Still one of our downtown favorites for a great beer and some delicious food. We've been enjoying their beers since they were in a small brick building years ago. We really enjoyed the years they made the SpoHop from hops grown by the locals, such fun memories! Good selection of beers and ciders and daily specials along with regular menu items make it a good place to spend sometime and meet up with friends. Love the old brick building that's been lovingly restored to the brew house and tap room. Metered Street parking only, but go on a Sunday and parking is free. Stopped by here for food and a beer on a work trip. Great place to hang out. Busy place. Looks like there is a microphone for music but no music on a Wednesday night. They have flights of beers - I found the darker beers to be better, but I am biased because I also prefer darker beers. Stout, Porter, and Dunkel were outstanding. Parking on the street is easy and it is only a minute or two away from the downtown area. The only real downside was that there was only one person both working the bar and delivering food from the kitchen to the tables so service was slow. There was a long line to order beer/food and pizza took 25 minutes to come out. If you want another beer, you have to go stand in a line and wait 5 minutes to get another one. Overall, great place, would be killer if they had more staff. Will come back when in Spokane. read more
