They serve some amazing icecream, super affordable, lovely flavors (Cherry!) and a wide assortment of home made desserts and sandwiches. Sarah, one of the owners, reached out after reading my previous review and offered replacement. Although Isleton isn't exactly close, I still decided to make a drive out and give them another try! We tried their sweet and savory zombies. While I initially came for their sweet ones, the savory's are what stole the show ... so fresh and so filling!! My favorite was the Thanksgiving zombie - sliced turkey with stuffing, cranberry and gravy. GoodNess ... it was really, really good!! Hubby's favorite was the Philly Cheese and you can't go wrong with the Chicken Pot Pie one either. PS ... They post their daily specials on their website. The will make any of their sandwiches as salads. They have GF and Keto breads, and also offer GF brownies. I look forward to stopping by again and trying more of their goodies! read more

The wife and I ordered take out from The McBoodery twice over Labor Day weekend during their opening weekend ! Both times it was amazing! My wife had the daily special roast beef and I had a custom turkey ! Everything was fresh and made to order, and of course I was happy to hear they had bacon to add to my sandwich. I had a potato's salad side while the wife had pesto pasta salad, both were also fresh and tasted amazing ! When we came back the second time we got our hands on some of their BEEF Jerky! They were previously sold out because it's THAT good. More potato and pasta sides and we were happy campers ! The shop was VERY clean and had safety precautions in place for social distancing. Ended up in the Delta on a random Sunday while doing a drive cycle for my car and remembered wanting to try this place since my husband and I love sandwiches. My husband got the muffaletta-ish sandwich since who knows when we'll make it out to New Orleans! And I got the zombie with some potato salad. One of the best potato salads I've ever had! My friend and I were exploring in the Delta and came upon this place. As soon as we entered and saw what they offered, I knew it had to be the best food in town. We were initially put off by the fact that there was no table service, but we were assured we could sit down to eat our food at the beer hall a few doors down. We ordered two sandwiches, a portion of homemade corn chowder, and some ice cream (Gunther's, a Sacramento brand). Everything was delicious. The person at the counter was friendly and helpful. I've watched business after business settle in this location and then close down. Really hope they're here to stay. Almost everything I've had here has been super delicious! Not a fan of a couple experimental things that were on the menu a while back, but they've disappeared so no point even listing them. Love, love, LOVE their delicious potato salad. ecided to go for a drive along the river to get the pup and boyfriend out of the house and saw this place. Staff was super friendly, store front was pretty busy (usually a good sign). The person at the counter steered us in the direction of the ZOMBIES! Super filling and tasty. We got the chicken teriyaki (saucy and heathy amount of chicken and slaw), Thanksgiving (literally thanksgiving in a tasty roll complete with the cranberry sauce), and my favorite was the 8 cheese and jalapeño. Melted ooey gooey deliciousness. Also tried the bread pudding and it got the stamp approval from the picky partner who is a self proclaimed bread pudding connoisseur. I ended up in Isleton since it was the nearest post office with open appointments to get my passport. I stopped in this sandwich shop and was amazed by how good it is. The shop itself is quaint and only has a bench to sit on while you wait, but the food is incredible! I had a chicken, bacon, ranch zombie and it was perfection. The brioche roll was so soft and it was incredibly flavorful. The pastries looked delicious, so I purchased a brownie and it did not disappoint. It was moist with the perfect amount of sweetness. I wish I lived closer, but I'll definitely be back. The staff was friendly and the service was relatively quick even though they were busy. read more

McBoodery is the best! Need to grab lunch around the delta? This is the spot! Mike and Sarah know what they're doing with bread, sides, and have interesting rotating menu specials all the time! Had one of their zombies (kind of like a handheld sized pasty/kolache/calzone, but totally its own thing) that had an outstanding pesto, cheese and mixed veggie filling (they're vegetarian friendly and have great GF options also) that was really tasty and well made. Perfectly baked, super flavorful, great ratio of filling to bread, and the balance of moisture kept the texture of the bread great inside and out without getting it at all soggy. Their homemade fresh-baked "Zombies" are an amazing type of sandwich, think jelly donut, but made with fresh brioche and fantastic filings, like Phlly cheesesteak or pepperoni pizza. I'm not a big fan of sandwiches not made by my own hands (see my Pickles & Swiss review) but The McBoodery's croissant club blew my apprehension & suspicions right out of the water. Not only was it reasonably priced, it was as delicious as any I've ever made at home. The customer service was great, the young lady that took my order did it with what I'm sure was a smile behind the mask she was wearing. My sandwich was served within 10 minutes of my order, was hot and, very delicious. My lady had the coleslaw which she said was also great. Get yourself to Isleton as quick as you can & stop by for some delicious snacks and sandwiches. The chocolate chip & bacon cookies are very tasty. We were passing through and stopped by based on other Yelp reviews. We ordered the Avocado BLT sandwich and a pepperoni zombie. The woman at the counter was pleasant, only complaint was she said it would be a 15 minute wait for the order, which seemed a bit long as they weren't busy when we stopped in. The bread on the Avocado BLT was not toasted which was also a little disappointing. The sandwich seemed fresh overall, and the pepperoni zombie was tasty. Nearby Mei Wah Beer Room has partnered with the McBoodery so you can eat three doors down in the taproom or outside in the beer garden when they're open.
