After being disappointed with the selection of meat at my local supermarket I decided to check them out. When I entered the store I was immediately impressed by how clean and well organized it is, and Dave's guitar selection adds to the homey eclectic ambiance. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and they'll accommodate customer preferences. After looking around I decided to purchase a rack of lamb, 2 pieces of wild salmon and cooked chicken fingers. Everything was top quality prime, fresh and scrumptious. And I was pleasantly surprised to see that Suburbia's prices are on par with local supermarkets for much better quality. You can't go wrong! Nuts & Bolts: Suburbia currently offers curbside pickup, delivery and in-store shopping with strict social distancing and a max of 3 customers allowed in at once. They're open 6 days/week (closed Wednesdays) at convenient hours with early opening times (7:30 as of this writing). There's parking on the street and a side lot. So happy to carry on the family tradition of shopping at Suburbia, a cool locally owned small business. I plan to be a regular going forward.

This is one of my favorite local stops for fresh fruit and veggies. They have a great selection of…read moretrays and bowls if you either prefer not to do the prep and/or are short on time. There are lots of ready-to-eat sides and meals as well, though you can shop for most anything to make great and tasty homemade dishes. The deli line can be long, however the staff is always courteous and prompt. The aisles are compact but well-organized and nicely-presented and the store is notably always very clean. Produce is especially good compared to most other grocery stores in the area. Some of my favorite pick-ups include the sliced fruit tray which consists of pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon, the mozzarella and grilled eggplant, garnished with basil and complete with an olive oil and balsamic dressing on the side, and the potato salad which is nice and chunky and not overly mayonnaise-y tasting. The meat section has a good diversity of burger types, chicken, steak and other meats and can be purchased at the counter or meat display. Additionally, I often find a well-priced special on cleaned shrimp at the seafood counter and make sure I get some fresh broccoli and garlic for a great stir-fry or pasta dish. The cheese selection is always plentiful as well, including many different types of Italian and other European cheeses. And I cannot forget to mention the olive bar, bakery section which includes some gluten/free items prepackaged in the refrigerated section as well as an aisle for gluten-free cookies, crackers and frozen gluten-free pastas (wild mushroom ravioli is my favorite pick of the frozen foods). Additionally, the general selection of marinades and other curated culinary accoutrements is impressive. I am usually there once or twice a week and it's a pleasant and easy shopping experience every time!

I'm not the only person who this happened to and when I went to return the boards I was hoping to see the manager but they only had young people working there and they didn't deserve my anger. This place has become a joke of a once proud establishment, they now even outsource there bread because they can't meet the demand. This is where the expression "melts in your mouth" comes from. The best tasting, most tender and extremely marbled steak I've ever had. Joe and the other butchers were fully aware that this purchase was an investment for us. They were all on board with cooking advice to make sure that we had an exceptional experience with this meat! Best part was finding the premium meats. A5 Wagyu, pichana steaks, sweetbreads, elk and bison meat just to name a few things. They also sell marinades, condiments, frozen fruit and vegetables. Beverages and salad toppings too. It's literally your local grocery store but better! This is the spot to grab proteins you need ahead of time for that BBQ you're planning or that family feast you will host. The variety is really the draw here. I saw lobster tails, scallops by the pound and coolest part, pre-made frozen goods for those that just want to thaw and reheat. That is great for when you didn't plan your meals ahead. I highly recommend this market for finding the unique, the premium, or for your everyday groceries. The model is simple: flash frozen, freshly sealed, and shipped or in this case, delivered to your local store. They own farms themselves, have huge bunkers and they work with the locals to source the goods.
