Parking signs show lagree fitness not megaformer.
    Carolin S.

I would NOT recommend this studio at all. I have been going to another Pilates studio for over 5 years and have been very happy there. I decided to try megaformer with my brother's fiancé who raved about this place with my mom as well. It was my first time going to this studio and location. I was 6 minutes late to the class at a FIRST time client, they did not let me inside class. I kindly told the lady up front it's my first time here and the parking was tricky, she refused. The reason why I was late was because the parking lot signs are not clear and I told her that. The parking lot signs say largree fitness studio but the name of the Pilates studio is megaformer. I had a difficult time parking as there must have been a company name change and the parking signs were not updated. I have attached pics for you to see below of why one would be lost. One would expect some understanding in these challenging times of COVID. I have many Pilates studio options and I chose to try megaformer. I will not be coming back. For a studio to not provide the proper customer service as a first time client, and this is how they treat their first time clients- I can only imagine how they treat repeated clients Follow up Danielle I thank you for your response. I still feel that since building signs are not accurate and I was mislead. I'm sure you guys can ask the building signs to update their signage if that's the proper place to park. During these times where everyone is frustrated due to COVID, the last thing I was is not to be able to work out because of being 5 minutes late. I typically don't write reviews, but when I feel I have been treated unfairly and without proper understanding- "hey, she's right the signs are confusing, I will make an exception this one time" would have been the way I would treat my customers. "It's her first time" those are things that come to my mind when dealing with customers who I want to retain. Not tell them to come back another time.

The hardest workout I've done in LA. 25 mins and you feel great. Jenny is my favorite, very thorough.

Easton's owner Toby and his passionate staff have facilitated a respectful and supportive community over a long period of time where all bodies are welcome, member input is prioritized, and most importantly, re-racking your weights and putting shit back where you found it is the norm! Working out at Easton feels like being part of a long tradition in Los Angeles. Even though the equipment isn't as new or exciting as other places and "it doesn't have air conditioning!" as everyone LOVES to say, nothing beats working out within Easton's beautiful brick walls, amongst vintage windows that catch a refreshing cross-breeze and dumbbells that look like they were carried by strong men in the 1940's. From what I saw, this is a pretty clean facility. Parking is in a lot nearby. Make sure to get validation, which is at the front near the check-in desk. After a long break, I decided to come back and invited my friends to join me. One of them had an active membership, while the other did not. The friend who had a membership agreed to work out with us and guide us, even though she is not a professional trainer, just our friend. When I brought my other friend who was interested in becoming a member and joining me regularly, she was not allowed to enter because she had not registered online, and there was no one available on-site to assist her. This was despite the fact that she had a guest pass from me. We tried to resolve the situation on the spot, but instead of showing understanding, the receptionist -- a young Spanish-speaking woman of average height with long black hair, who appeared to be new and unfamiliar with me -- behaved very rudely. She refused to help, delayed us with the registration process, and made everything unnecessarily complicated instead of assisting my friend in becoming a member. This resulted in a very unpleasant experience for us. Moreover, the following day, I was denied access to my regular Zumba class with a different instructor, despite being a long-time member. The reason given was that the previous day we had worked out with our friend who was guiding us. I was extremely upset, and the situation escalated to the point where the police were called to make me leave the gym. This humiliating experience put me in a very uncomfortable and embarrassing position. I am deeply disappointed. If anything like this happens again, I am prepared to pursue legal action, as this situation is unacceptable and has left a very negative impression on me. If I do not receive a formal apology, they will lose three loyal clients, as well as future potential clients I was planning to bring with me.

The towels are the tiniest, cheapest ones you could imagine- corporate obviously cheaped out on every amenity - even the hairdryer cord is too short to comfortably dry your hair- shampoo/conditioner horrible quality, too. There is a lack of sufficient cleaning stations in the gym as well- they only have a couple of spray disinfectant bottles and paper towel stations- not enough for all stations, so you literally NEVER see anybody spraying off machines after you use them- it's really gross- at Crunch in WEHO they had santizing wipe stands literally EVERYWHERE and every person cleaned their machine off after every use...so clearly the morale/cleanliness standard and culture at THIS gym and franchise is severely lacking. All the staff are just typical gym bros that couldn't care less about your experience or service and are just there to make sales. My trainer was not a great communicator, and each session was basically him having me use the same machines every time and only half paying attention - he'd mention how I was his "eighth client" of the day and making lots of money- and it literally just became me paying $166 bucks a SESSION for him to take me to all the same equipment stations and do the same exercises while he half pays attention..nothing personalized about it at all- just another sale for his day. He even mentioned how tons of people kept stealing parts of the machines at the gym and it was a huge problem.. so clearly not the greatest vibe in terms of people attending this gym either. If you want to have a guest join you, they have to fill out a lengthy form very single time they come with you even if they've been there before- also super irritating. Their app for training scheduling is also broken- no way to respond to messages you'll receive. Cancelling was obviously not easy because why would it be lol, and when I canceled my training, the manager didn't even ask me if there was a reason why, so I had to bring the topic up and give my feedback on my trainer, and he literally couldn't have cared less by the sound of his response- these people don't care. Horrible vibes all around- I always left this gym irritated - so sad they closed Crunch in West Hollywood for THIS to take it over :( I also sent them a SUPER thoughtful, detailed email when they sent out a survey asking for feedback on the gym with all of this included^ and they sent back a so obviously AI-generated response, which proves to me that they truly don't care, so I hope this review can spare other people thinking of signing up here to not waste their money and look elsewhere :)

What I did NOT know I was signing up for... was RINGWORM. Honestly, I was shocked. I was in there looking cute too. Fresh matching ALO set. Expensive water bottle. Feeling like an off-duty fitness influencer who says things like "wellness journey." Then one day I look down at my leg and see this perfectly round circular welt. At first I was like... wait... did I protest this weekend? Did a cop shoot me with one of those non-lethal rubber bullets and I forgot? So naturally, I Google Image searched it like a real doctor. BOOM. Ringworm. Not exactly what Beyoncé meant when she said "put a ring on it." Now look, I'm not blaming Planet Fitness for this. This was clearly caused by the puddle of human soup left on the leg machine by that hot guy wearing a My Chemical Romance T-shirt, denim shorts, and Converse. No wonder he was sweating so much. Brother was dressed like he had a double shift at Hot Topic after this. So I go to the front desk and ask the employee what I should do about the ringworm and without even blinking he reaches behind the counter and pulls out a communal tube of Lotrimin antifungal cream like it was hand sanitizer. Not a NEW tube either. A battle-tested tube. The kind of tube that's seen things. And then he goes, "Here you go, man." Which means one of two things: They're incredibly helpful. This happens A LOT. So there I am, standing in the lobby of Planet Fitness, rubbing antifungal cream on my thigh next to a broken massage chair while Pitbull plays overhead. Judgement Free Zone indeed. 5 STARS.
