McLaughlin offers clothing for men, women, and kids. I didn't see many kids selections in evidence, but the array of clothing and accessories for men and women was ample, and supplemented by a robust sale selection. My mom (shopping partner in crime) and I had fun leisurely perusing the racks. In fact, my mother, who has lived in the area for 15+ years, had never been inside this location of J. McLaughlin. When it came to trying items on, Lynn, the sales associate, was very helpful in terms of placing my items in a fitting room and hunting down alternate sizes both in stock and via the store's computer. I found a couple of items, both on sale (!) that will transition nicely through the seasons. The Sophia Jersey dress in gold and navy is one that I can see pairing with boots and tights in the winter or a simple pair of nude heels in the warmer months. I also snapped up a lightweight cashmere cardigan in coral that promises to brighten the gloomiest of January days. The length is a little bit longer, which I like, and will work well even when the weather warms up. Will definitely be back here and plan to check out the Lake Forest outpost in between visits.

The saleswoman, Karen, asked if I was shopping for a gift and showed me several options based on what I told her about my boyfriend. We went through a ton of options, but I ended up going with a great purple checkered button-up and a pair of lacrosse-stick-print socks. She even gift-wrapped both of them! Beyond mens, they have an AMAZING selection of womens clothing! omg. Love shopping here for myself!! I recently got these boots and they've now turned into my favorite pair. Over the holidays, I went to a bar and my heel got stuck in the vent. Not once but twice in the same night! Suffice to say, the heels were wrecked! I already knew I would need the bottom repaired but wasn't sure if anything could be done about the scuffs on the heel since I've never been able to have them repaired before. I usually take them to the cobbler on Olive, but after the reading the reviews for this location and people commenting on him restoring the part of the heel I needed, I decided to give them a shot. Upon walking in, I noticed it had a similar layout to the one in Creve Coeur except it's bigger. They have a ton of various items from boot inserts, shoe stretchers, polish, and etc. Craig came out and asked how he could help. I explained that these were my favorite pair of boots and asked about getting the heel fixed. He said he could take care of it no problem, but then took it a step further and mentioned how he could probably clean the heel up as well! I was excited and intrigued, especially since no one has ever been able to do it before. He quoted me at $25.00 (paid upfront), told me what the service would entail, gave me my receipt, and said I could pick it up Tuesday. So Tuesday came and I went to pick them up. When he handed them to me, I was in utter shock. Not only did he fix the heel BUT he managed to repair the leather on the heel and eliminate the scuffs, tears, and stains. I thanked him profusely because I was so happy with what he had done. Being the humble guy he is, he said it wasn't a big deal and insists he could have done a better job. Craig literally brought my boots back to life and did it in record time! Additionally, I have the utmost respect for him since he works alone! I can't wait to have him work on more heels and boots. I can't recommend him enough.

I've been researching this brand for awhile now and wanted to get some information and pricing for this brand. Store had plenty of inventory and plenty of variety of this brand and many more. Staff was very knowledgeable and patient as he explained different advantages of the shoe. The shoe is pretty pricey but all reviews state this is a walker/ running/ standing working shoe. Plenty of different heel types to work with your flat feet/ swollen ankle/ plantar fasciitis problems. Store offers hoka croc flip flops as well.
