I was called three times by someone named Morgan but she couldn't ever leave a voicemail so it was constant phone tag to even set up a phone interview. Anyway when I showed up to the interview I have a guy's name, but I'm a woman. When I showed up, the interviewer immediately said, "Sorry, you weren't what I expected," and flat-out told me she had been expecting a man. She then went on to say that I probably wouldn't even be considered for the position I applied for, but we could "talk about a different position" instead. On top of that, she made horrible eye contact throughout the entire interview. Honestly, thanks for wasting my time--this could have been cleared up over the phone if I wasn't qualified or wasn't going to be given a fair chance. Offering $15 an hour is already a joke for a college student, but now I'm left wondering: I guess a kinesiology student isn't qualified to work in the shoe department, or maybe she just only hires men.‍ She didn't even walk me out from the back room. Most awkward interview ever. Regardless, I would have liked to be given a fair interview before it was decided I wasn't qualified within in the first 2 seconds of meeting. Thanks Faye this experience really rubbed me wrong and made me feel pretty lousy. I won't be back at this Dick's Again needless to say. Shop at the Edwardsville one.

The shop is very small but packed with things. I was immediately unimpressed because I wasn't greeted well. I was the only customer there and the two people at the counter said nothing, just looked at me. I'm going to guess they are college students, one male and one female. I walked up to the counter and let them know I wanted to check out Hoka. I really felt like neither of them really wanted to help me and the male moved and took me to the back. I explained that I usually wear New Balance 860's and wanted to check out a cushioned pair of Hoka's, hopefully more of a stability shoe. He asked me my size and went in back. A blonde woman came back out with him and I explained to her my request as well, and she was very helpful, explaining the models they had available and offering a men's version since I have a wide foot. I tried on three models and settled on a men's Gaviota. The whole time they just kind of stood there looking at me. I gave three stars because I did find a shoe but I felt a little unwelcome since everyone was very blah. Usually these local running shops get personal, smile, ask what activities I do, talk about fit, feel the fit on my toes, etc. It was just really weird and I might as well have just spent $150 with my REI membership.

However, I was left with much to be desired specificity with the customer service. When I entered the store I was not greeted by the female employee sitting behind the counter. As I continued to shop, I noticed two males enter the store and join the woman behind the counter, I couldn't determine if the men were employees but they certainly acted as such, being behind the counter and using the stores computers. As I looked on I heard lots of shouting and profanities including the F word being used in front of my young daughter but still no greeting or assistance of any kind. While I was narrowing down my selections I was finally approached by one of the men who said "hey guys, you gotta move, we got trick or treaters coming in". No pleasantries or suggestions just that I had to move with hardly any explanation as to why. The way I see it, I as a potential customer (at the time I had items in my hand I was going to purchase) was treated as second rate to people just passing through for free candy. I don't want to sound like a Halloween humbug as the kids in costumes were adorable but after I was rudely approached for the first time in the store I simply placed my items back on the shelf and left, of course expecting too much when thinking I would get a "good bye" or a "have a nice day". They have lost me as a customer for life and to everyone else I recommend MLBshop.com as it contained the same supply anyway. One star.

He said he would look and call me, but he couldn't remember the color or any details of them throughout our search despite repeating it for him so I don't have much hope. Worst is that he charges for the repair up front. And his only record is the customer's claim ticket (which just went missing on my end and I can't find it). I know I'm at fault for misplacing my ticket after this long. But I figured I should warn others because this is so disappointing and the only reason I entrusted them to him were the good reviews
