I moved into a two bed two bath approximately 16 weeks ago by myself without having been to Memphis before. I was informed that renovations would not become complete until about 1st quarter 2018. I accepted that renovations would be ongoing from day one but the renovations, the potential of the property as a whole and location won me over. The moving-in process was smooth and an easy transition just having driven 10 hours from out of state to the Memphis area. The day I moved in, the apartment was finished with appliances and fully functioning utilities. As a few weeks passed, there were minor challenges with the unit but, property management, awesome contractors, and the owner all helped to resolve these and I really appreciate them for that. Before I chose 'The Melrose Midtown', I viewed other apartments downtown but... I was amazed how the out of date the other apartments were in contrast to the Melrose. The Melrose has top notch finishings inside and it is located on the edge of Central Gardens, which is a perfect midtown Memphis location: 3 min from the highway (no noise pollution), 5 min from the new Kroger, 15 min from the airport, 6 min from downtown, 5 min from Cooper-Young, and 7 min from Overton Square. The building is secure with layers of protection as well as secure gated parking which makes me feel comfortable at night. The rent is fair and this area is the place to be if you're looking for an area to access all the different things that Memphis has to offer. Don't forget to try the BBQ! The best BBQ in Memphis is 'The Bar-B-Q Shop' on Madison Avenue (6 min away). read more

My review on The Melrose Midtown is "hands down"! I don't often do reviews, but this place deserves one. I just recently moved to Memphis (as most in the building apparently, because there are a lot of out of state plates). Management and maintenance are outstanding, at times it seems that they go above and beyond. My neighbors are friendly, and apparently low key because the building is not noisy. There is a little construction still going on, but not much, we hardly know that there are workers in the builders. Less than 10 minutes from downtown, U of M, the zoo and so much more. I love the concrete walls in the building, the pool is awesome, the building is beautiful. It's unfortunate that I am only here for two years, because I feel like I could call this place home. My reasons for a four star, and not a five: I hate that some of the pet owners don't clean up after their pets, kind of wish the place wasn't pet friendly :-( I think parking may be a problem, because the lot is full at night, and it is hard to find a parking spot. I've taken two tours just to make sure this is the right place for my sister and I. Being the first place that we'll be away from our parents at, it had to be a safe place that even THEY will approve of. The second tour I brought my sister along, and she loved it. Now we have decided to move in and persuaded our parents that we've found a good place. To make this situation even better, my dad knew about this place but just wanted to see where we would try to suggest moving to. I'm glad we all came to an agreement about The Melrose Midtown because besides being in the budget, this place is pretty cool! read more

I found the Melrose Midtown on the google site, and I am so glad that I did. This place is a gem! Total renovations, and they are awesome. I have been in my apartment for five months, and absolutely love it. I'm not sure why the other person had a bad experience, unless management is different. All of my stay, from touring the unit until now have been great! Don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself. I think this will be the most sought after property in this area by the end of this summer. read more

The Melrose Midtown was one of the nicest apartment buildings I have ever lived in. My husband and I spent three wonderful years there. He worked in the medical center. We left this year after we relocated for work. The living rooms and bedrooms are larger than anywhere else. They also have a swimming pool and BBQ area that they renovated just before we left. One of Midtown's best kelp secrets - not only is the renovation AMAZING, but the prices are fair. This community offers modern finishes and hosts some of the largest 1 and 2 bedroom floorplans in the area. The marble white floors are to die for! Since 1961, I have been a resident at the Melrose Midtown. When I first moved in, the building was only two years old. And I was a young lady! This is one of the nicest buildings in town.
