We moved to Dublin by buying a foreclosure several years ago, and while our previous agent worked diligently, she wasn't terribly familiar with the neighborhood and eventually, relocated to a different region. So, as we saw our home value recover and eventually rise to a point where we could think about moving to a larger home, we started talking about who we should work with. At this point, we were familiar with the neighborhood and our options. There is no lack of advertising, and while some promote their great sales and offer free use of a moving truck, we felt the Mia & Beverly Team really added the most value to the Dublin Ranch neighborhood. Having grown up in older neighborhoods that had block parties and where neighbors actually talked regularly, I really appreciated the fact that Mia & Beverly make a sincere effort to put on events where people can come out of their holes and meet one another. They host an annual Halloween party and parade in the fall and an Easter Egg Hunt in the spring, and they organize a neighborhood garage sale at the beginning of summer. These events are free to the community and are well-attended and well-run. During this year's garage sale, I was at a friend's house and a neighbor who lived across the street for the past five years came across and said hello for the first time. Back to our purchase... we contacted Mia and Beverly even before we were quite ready to buy a home, but they were really helpful, explaining how they approach the market and giving us a better sense of the demand for our old house. We were still working within a budget, and while there was nothing available at the moment, they made us feel much more comfortable with the prospects. A few weeks later, we got a call saying they were in touch with a previous client who was being relocated. By having a few extra days really helped us get prepared for financing. They put us in touch with a mortgage person who helped us finance the purchase when the house went on the market even before we had listed our old house. After watching their utmost professionalism over the years, I cringe when I encounter the hard sell, used car salesman pitches of other realtors. We first met Mia & Beverly when they helped us purchase our first home 9 years ago in Dublin Ranch, and we soon knew they would be the only team we would work with in the future. We decided about 3 years ago that we wanted to move to a new home. Yes, they patiently sought out homes for THREE years that would meet our near-impossible standards. Well, we found our dream home early this year but it: (1) was bank-owned, and (2) required a super-jumbo loan, the unique challenges of which necessitated having an expert team on our side. The process would have been an absolute nightmare if we didn't have this incredible team advocating for us.
