I wrote a review 3 weeks ago and I dont know how to edit or remove it, but my laptop does not work. Now I have money that isn't a problem, but good quality service is hard to find. I called tecky multiple times telling them my laptop was working for a few minutes and then died completely. I've used 2 different new chargers and it still doesn't work. They want to Charge me again, I already paid $200 for what they said was just plugging it in and it worked for them. When I first called back they didn't try to come and look at the laptop again. And today when I called they basically said it was my fault and hung up on me. They hung up on me. I gave them a chance, wasted $200 dollars and now they want me to pay more for the same problem. Unless you have a degree in computers, even if you do, don't waste your time with them. Unprofessional and a Waste of Time. I even gave them a $18 tip!! Don't waste your time!!!

For my most recent repair, they picked up my macbook from my home, replaced the battery, and delivered it back to me in, no exaggeration, 2 hours start to finish. (I didn't pay any extra rush charge or even say I was in a hurry or anything.) I don't think I've had a repair anywhere else that was faster than like 2-3 days before I got the computer back. Another time I asked about a very specialized problem that they don't deal with, and they were totally upfront about not doing it and directed me to someone who could help. Also a great sign. And both repairs are still working great, so good quality as well. I'm going to be sticking with Techy for any future repairs!

It turned out it was laden with viruses and had to be wiped clean. He told me what he was doing every step of the way and did I mention that he didn't bend me over for the cost of the repair, especially emergency work, at my location, on weekend? The repair work was intensive, and he had to come back Sunday but when he left, my baby was wiped clean (data preserved and transferred) and better than new. He said he could install a new one for me and we discussed some options about buying one. As it turned out, I recalled that I had purchased an extended warranty which would cover a replacement. Found this business from a Yelp search. My computer hinge came apart. Winstonn communicated well,…read morevia text & call. And was flexible with me to be able to meet at his house & drop off my laptop. The issue was the left side hinge that someone came undone. He left me know he needed to order some screws and the updated price. Once he had the hinge "fixed" he didn't like the way the laptop screen now "stuck out". So he brought a new screen/backing for my laptop. Since he was not personally happy with the way it looked, he offered to buy me a new/used latop. I never saw it with the "poked out" screen but I would have rather kept my laptop. He said he would take some time and research for laptops of my specified specs. So, I said okay. Please let me know what you find before making any purchases. A few days later he calls and tell me that he opened up my laptop, saw water damage, and now miraculousy my laptop NO LONGER WORKS. The screen does not appear - even with external monitors, just black. This was very disappointing and frustrating. Laptop worked fine before I dropped it off, with the exception of the hinge that came undone. Not sure why he didn't check everything (atleast turning it on/off) in the beginning. I even asked if he wanted the power charging cord when I dropped off the laptop.
