My expectation of The Mill was that it would be similar to CiCi's pizza. I was wrong. The pizza, games and atmosphere are much, much better than a CiCi's. The food: Pizzas were medium-sized, but cut more generously than CiCi's. They had pepperoni, cheese, supreme, and other typical pizzas. They also had a buffalo chicken pizza and a mac and cheese pizza (which was so good). There were hotdogs and nachos. Two things I did not expect. Spaghetti and marinara sauce and dessert pizzas were also on the buffet. There was a salad bar, but it needed some TLC. It didn't look great and the only lettuce was shredded. The games: There were a surprising amount of games here. There was a mix of ticket lottery games, shooting games and traditional games like air hockey and pacman. You won tickets for most games that can be traded for prizes. The atmosphere: Every inch of this place is decked out in chotchkies. Every. Inch. It's fascinating to look at. I felt like I was in an I Spy book. I really liked the Thomas the Tank Engine that went around the restaurant. read more

I want to start out by saying that this was a pretty clean restaurant and the Decore is highly entertaining. Lots of family appeal as far as atmosphere goes. That's where the $20+ buck stops... I mean, when your buffet makes cici's look good, that's just sad. To be fair, we were dining during a non-peak hours and I did see them attempt to keep the offerings fresh...they should probably try just a bit harder at that. Also, maybe up the quality of pizza beyond cardboard, canned sauce (which you can see stacked in the kitchen like weird trophies), and flavorless toppings. I ate maybe two tiny pieces of pizza and just couldn't do anymore. I am not even saying it has to be hand-tossed, artisan dough, just please try something, anything else for the actual pizza. The salad bar was somewhat alright except the lettuce is literally the shredded iceberg usually used by Taco Bell on top of their tacos. Not at all appetizing for an actual salad. I will say having the hotdogs available for kids is smart and well thought out. Just maybe bring that same thoughtfulness for the adults as well. Well... I'm not sure where to begin. We had a large group (close to 100) and they corralled us well! The atmosphere is fabulous and so unique! It was very interesting to observe. The pizza was average and kinda reminded me of Cicis. They did have cool names of the pizzas though. It tasted okay but just not the best. We had a good time and the arcade was very fun and kept many of us entertained!! The staff was sorta friendly but I think they were overwhelmed. This was my first time here, and while the atmosphere was fun, the food... meh. All the pizzas they had out looked and tasted like they'd been out for a while, after sitting for about 30 or so mins they finally put out a fresh pizza. The fresh pizza was actually good! Definitely better than cicis, but it took a lot longer. They also didn't have any desert and started trying to clean up the salad/pasta stuff at 7pm when their hours say they're supposed to be opened until 9pm. Looking for something unique in Valdosta, my friends and I settled on The Mill. We expected Cici's but we're delightfully given something much better. It's the same idea as Cici's: pizza buffet with some other options (salad, pasta, etc.), but it also had nachos and hot dogs which was interesting. The macaroni & cheese and buffalo chicken pizza were great, and the rest of the pizza was good. There were also arcade games with ticket prizes, which was fun. The entire restaurant is filled with knick knacks and is very interesting. It's a neat little place that I think has good charm. read more

This place is creepy, dark, and crowded, and what's with the junk piled up next to the front door? It's been there for years-- rent a storage shed for Pete's sake already. Don't come to this establishment thinking you're going to come to a quality pizza buffet. They may have an endless chili dog bar but the boiled chicken dogs in the dirty water weren't very appealing, and the buns were wrapped for cold storage with the amount of plastic wrap on em. The pizza is reminiscent of that the you would find in a truck stop. Salad bar is alright if all you expect is shredded lettuce from a taco bell, and goldfish as croutons. Great food and great service. Way better than cicis buffet. I was only there once and they weren't that busy but with that being said the selection they had was a good variety. The pizzas were fresh and warm. They should add a little more games if they are trying to do children's parties and such but a 14 year, two 22 year olds and a 32 year old went for lunch and had fun playing the children's game after eating. Would be a great place to stop for your lunch break at work if you are nearby. Salad bar was decent as well. read more

This is a cute quirky pizza buffet with a good variety. It has a small arcade. The dessert pizza is really good. I would go here over CiCis anyday. The only drawback is that sometimes it seems to be short staffed so it takes a while for new pizzas to come out. When they do come out fresh it is YUMMO! I love The Mill. It is my restaurant of choice when I am craving pizza and don't want take-out. It has a great atmosphere, an awesome arcade, and plays sports/news on their tvs. The salad bar is awesome, with a lot of toppings to choose from. The only negative thing I would say is that sometimes they choose to play a children's movie and BLAST the audio while continuing to also play music from the radio, which can be really distracting. The good: $5 cash only deal Monday-Friday 11am-4pm includes tax, meal, drink- dine in or carryout. The bad: No soups (like CiCi's) and current no chocolate desserts- although it sounds like it's in the works. The ugly: salad bar needs to be restocked and fresh lettuce needs to replace the not-so-fresh. They also have a bunch of reasonable party packages from $50 and up that includes food, beverages and tokens. Example: 10 kids, 2 adults- all food and beverages plus 150 tokens for $100. I'm not a public party event person or Chuck E Cheese fan, but this is reasonable for those interested. I do wish they'd have more fresh ingredients on the salad bar (less pickled stuff) and also soup for those of us who aren't crazy about sauce and cheese on bread (pizza). read more

This is the first time I have walked into this restraint and been treated so poorly. The employees did not greet us. There was almost no good on the hot bar and the salad bar was a disaster. Such a cute and unique place! Every wall is decorated with neat things and it makes the restaurant a great atmosphere to be in! They have a variety of pizzas to choose (from cheese pizza, macaroni pizza and all the way to potato pizza!) The pizza was very greasy, but it still tasted good! Also, they have a large salad bar. The kids will enjoy it because one part of the Mill is an Arcade! They can win tickets and collect them for prizes. Also, if you are planning a group party, you can rent their party room for only an hour and it is free of charge. It is a great place for kids and adults. I would recommend the Mill to anyone! Think of The Mill as a hometown version of Chuck-e-Cheese, but without the schmaltz. Its pizza is buffet-style and, like Chuck-e, its very bland, pedestrian flavors will not win any culinary awards--good enough for kids though. As another reviewer noted, the salad bar is to be avoided as it's full of pickled items and less than fresh lettuce. There are about a dozen arcade games that dispense tickets for cheapo prizes (again, like Chuck-e). The décor is eclectic junk yard style (I especially like model train running continuously around the perimeter of the room). Curiously, the music is not kid-oriented, but obviously meant to appeal to the bill-paying parents--mostly 1980s rock music. This a fine place to bring the kids on a Saturday but I wouldn't make it an "adult" stop for dinner. read more

My three kids and I were invited to a birthday party at The Mill and were truly excited to attend. We had heard great things about The Mill. We arrived and a young cashier told me that kids were FREE for the party but adults had to pay. I wasn't very hungry so I declined paying for the buffet. We had arrived at the party late (due to rain) so all the other kids were off playing the arcade. Later on, the kids sang happy birthday to the birthday boy and decided they wanted to eat. My youngest (6 year old), wanted some pizza but I didn't want him to be burned by the hot metal...so I went up to the buffet with him and was placing a slice on his plate. The young cashier from earlier, came to me and asked "Did you pay for that pizza?" I looked at him and said I was getting pizza for my son and that I didn't appreciate him implying that I was stealing pizza. I told him I would be speaking with the manager/owner. There was another young man standing off in the background watching the entire interaction. So, when the cashier left and went in the back, the other young man followed him. I found another employee and asked for a manager. And guess who came out? The young man who had been observing the entire incident. The manager basically justified the cashier's questioning of me and I told him that it was unprofessional and that it wasn't good for his business to accuse patrons. I told him that I wasn't sitting down with a slice of pizza in my mouth. I was at the buffet assisting my son. The manager continued to justify his employee's actions and this of course infuriated me. I told him that word of mouth is powerful, that I knew many people in our local community. I also told him that I had NEVER experienced this in all of my life. I know that I will NEVER return to the place and I basically dismissed the manager. I no longer desired to have a conversation with him because he was clearly very young and ignorant. For the duration of my time at The Mill, I sat at the table to guard the kids party favor bags and I saw the young cashier watching me. I guess to see if I would steal the plates or something. I am an Air Force veteran and my primary job dealt with servicing other military members and their family. I pride myself in having integrity and treating others with the utmost respect. Thus, I was appalled at the implication that I was trying to obtain FREE pizza (which by the way, looked visibly burned and the kids commented that the sauce tasted weird). I have been to CiCi's pizza and NEVER been questioned in such a manner (and they are always packed full of folks). Overall, my first experience at The Mill will be my last. The kids enjoyed themselves and liked the cool things they saw like the Thomas the Train track above their heads (near the ceiling). They did not really like the pizza but the arcade kept them busy and cashing in tickets!!! They were upset that I had to endure what I did on our first visit to The Mill. It's sad that as a Valdosta native, military veteran and educated female that I was made to feel that I was untrustworthy because I was assisting my young son. My prayer is that these individuals will find another place of employment because ignorance, suspicion of patrons and personal biases will hinder this establishment from keeping their doors open!!! read more

Best pizza buffet in valdosta. Not that there are many in this category but it's def much much better than cici's. There's a pretty big game area for kids. The baked potato pizza is very good and my husband really liked the macaroni pizza. They also sell buckets of beer $10 for 5 beers and you can mix and match what kind. Took two teen boys..they were not impressed with most of the pizza choices..I seriously only REALLY liked the Pizza with the potatoes on it..the sausage/Pep was good too and only PIZZA tasting pizza I found. The Buffet was not filled twice I went by only had like two types of pizza available. They need to pay more attention to the buffet. No one came to take the plates off ANY table let alone ours. People were putting plates off onto neighboring empty tables. Ill try it one more time see if I like it any better..but it was disappointing to me. I've visited The Mill several times since it opened and I liked it, and would have rated it at 4 stars because of the interesting interior, spaciousness and plentiful choices (or should be). On the other hand, I ate there twice in the last 6 days and was so unimpressed that I do not intend to go back. The place was a mess both times and they wouldn't make me a pizza like I wanted as they did the previous times. (They sort of tried; they did compromise and made me a Veggie Tales without peppers, but all I wanted more than that was pineapple to be added. How hard is that!?!) But the main reason I won't be going back is that I've decided that the pizza just isn't really all that great. Kind of cheap tasting, with cheap cheese. And the dessert pizza is overly sugary and sickly sweet and I wouldn't eat it again even if I did happen to go back because of family choice. I gave it 2 stars because the salad bar is average or maybe even a bit better than average. Now that they have added Romaine lettuce (instead of just iceberg lettuce), and with a good selection of veggies, etc, on the salad bar, it isn't bad at all. Of course, it would be great if there were a couple more choices of dressing, but really, it's ok. The last time I was there, the ice machine was totally empty, there was ice all over the drip tray and even though they were aware, they did nothing to clean it up or replenish the ice. Made me wonder if they were a bit understaffed. Also, lastly, I think they would greatly benefit from someone going in and rearranging the tables for a better layout, a professional spacial planner. The traffic is really bad in there and it's annoying how clogged up it gets right there towards the end of the pizza bar/salad bar/drink station. read more
