Alas, after a lengthy introduction, wherein we were all prompted - no less than four times - to state "our pronouns" out loud and repeatedly, we were taught what to say to friends who hug us without our consent. There was nothing about real self-defense, just made-up "microaggressions" for those with no spine or sense of self. Let the record show that when I chose to not specify "my pronouns" (on a Zoom call wherein no one was being referred to in the third person), I was not only called out on the call, but messaged in the private chat by the instructor who was concerned that I wasn't jumping on the pronoun bandwagon. I'm guessing they got grant money during the shut-down, and were thus strongarmed into this kind of indoctrination, but it was offensively misleading to call this a self-defense class, when it would be more accurately described as a reeducation camp.
