I walked in there early on a Friday in hopes of getting a candle as a gift for a friend. The woman behind the desk was talking at full volume about another employee she said has "bad vibes", and did not greet me. I don't claim to know the whole story, but this woman was going on and on about this other employee in such a negative manner, i coughed to let her know i was there, hoping maybe she hasn't seen me come in. She continued on gossiping and degrading this other employee behind her back. She also mentioned something about Santeria and cursing people. Wtf?!? When i approached the desk to ask her the price of a candle, she threw on a very cheery tone and immediately offered me a tarot reading. Why would i want a reading from someone who was just loudly gossiping about someone? The woman then offered to bless the candle for me! No thanks! I am telling you.... This lady has bad energy. The only reason i gave two stars is because the incense selection was super awesome. I think the owner should look into who is doing readings there because this lady had the most pious and holier than thou attitude I've come across in a while.

Went to this shop today . When I walked in the store I was welcomed , and as I browsed, one of the ladies in the back of the shop where the smoking items are asked me if I needed any help , and if I'd like , I can pick up items to take a look and take them outside to look at them as well, and take pictures . I thought that was really nice . Eventually I noticed that I was being carefully watched by a tall Latina at the register who initially welcomed me . I thought that it might just be me , but noticed she would hover over me or walk by as I picked up items to look at and she would look over at me quite a bit. Her anxious /nervous energy just made my visit so unpleasant . Eventually I bought an item she rang up for me and she sprayed with sage spray . When I left the store and put on the items I bought, I realized a feeling of anxiety that was so bad , to which I thought maybe I should remove the item, and immediately felt a better difference, a sense of relief. Some things I would like to suggest to the shop: perhaps give bowls or trays where people can hold their items while they shop so you don't feel overwhelmed about what customers are holding or looking at , place the items you sell inside a glass case so you don't feel so wary and anxious while people shop at your store, stop interrupting people by talking to them with meaningless talk so often while they shop, you make people feel like suspects . Your loud meaningless talk to your co workers around the people you hover over is also obvious, and finally , allow less people in your store at a time to shop. I went to two shops like this one before I came here and I realized , I don't think I'd like to come back here regardless of the items they sell. The experience was just that bad.... read more
