This is such a cool shop! This is a great place for Lego builders and for those wanting to get into Lego sets. This shop offers new and used Lego sets, minifigs, and individual pieces. There are lots of built sets on display, and pre-made sets for sale. I bought a couple of pre-made sets that I had my eye on, because the pieces were less than buying the sets brand new. There's also large bins where you can dig and select individual Lego pieces to buy by the pound. This is great for having extra pieces to use as spares or for modification building. This seems like a cool shop. I am not into Legos and I barely ever was into Legos... I played with them some when I had the opportunity as a child, but I was never into them. I just was passing by the other day and none of the people I was with had been to The Minifig Shop, so we went in and spent 10 minutes looking at all the cool creations and listening to kids and their parents get all excited about Legos. If I knew a kid who liked Legos, I would look into having a party here; there is what looked and sounded (lol) like a small event space in the front of the store. read more

I will admit, this place is rather...what? Platypus-coded? Good thing by the way. Fun fact: Platypuses are one of the two mammals that can lay eggs and they can store poison. In other words: This store is as unique as a platypus. Hobby stores like this always grab my attention, so it's no suprise I found myself drawn to here. Pricing was appropriate in my opinion. What's for sale: Lego. No duh, but whatever. They have pretty much everything lego to entite sets all the way down to individual pieces, which I will say is really useful for people who enjoy building legos. Without the instructions. I also really like how the merchandise is customizable. Choose your own pieces. Build a minifigure. They have it all here, it's really great. Service was also fantastic and the workers were polite. Love it, love it, love it! Great for kids great for adults. You can book a birthday party that will make your kids love you. They have prebuilt sets, boxed sets, bins of loose legos that you can buy by the pound, and of course all the mini figures. Their collection of display pieces rival the traveling Lego shows. My wife and i like to print off part lists for Lego sets and look through the loose bins to create full sets. To top it off the people that work there are great. Plenty of free parking in the attached garage too. read more

I took my 6 yrs old and 4 year old sons here for the first time to attend a birthday party. The staff was very helpful. It's a great place for people who love Legos to let their imagination sore and also to purchase random Legos as well as Lego sets that they've been seeking for years. This store has everything. Sets, new and used, hundreds of minifigures, tools and accessories, build a minifig, and giant piles of loose bricks you can buy. The staff is always friendly, and knowledgeable about all the themes they have, such as Star Wars, Ninjago, Mario, and many others. I've gone to get individual replacement parts, and they are willing to give them for free a lot of the time. In addition, there is a free parking garage very close, and it normally has lots of room to park. Pricing is fair and I have gotten a lot of good deals. The store can get busy during weekends, but the staff always seems to be able to talk with you if you need help. I cannot express how happy I am with this store, and I have bought many figures! read more

If you're a Lego lover, or in my case if you have a million Legos at you're house that you want to get rid of, they'll buy them from you. My 13 year old son wanted a new, expensive, hockey stick and had 1000s of Legos in the basement taking up space. We put them in plastic totes and brought them to Minifig. The kid walked out with almost $200 cash. They also sell complete sets and hard to find Legos. Cool place to just walk around. I saw adults turn into kids checking out the store. read more

This place is literally heaven on Earth. I cannot believe I went so long without knowing that this store existed in the heart of Kirkwood. Not only do they have a wonderful selection of new Lego sets, the also have many preowned and prebuilt sets at a discount. They ALSO have a wide range of collector sets, possibly the biggest selection that I have ever seen. It was so cool to be able to visit this place and see many unopened lego sets from my childhood, if only I had held on to some of them! I really think that you could spend an hour in this store just browsing. This would also be a good place to try to find that missing piece you need for your build or an old, discontinued mining. Bought the Voltron Lego set from them at the best price. I find the best deals and rarest sets here all the time. Buying used can save you hundreds of dollars over time. My sister recently told me about The Minifig Shop in Kirkwood, and still being a Lego fan at 31 years old I had to check it out! Walking through the doors and entering the spacious, vibrant, and well-lit store was quite the trip down memory lane. The Minifig Shop has multiple verticals display cases full of vintage (and a few more modern) built Lego sets lining the walls. I'm talking about the original Robin Hood, Pirate, Tiki, Paradisa, City, Knight's Kingdom and Castle sets! It's an 80s and 90s child's dream! Up front there are horizontal display cases housing hundreds of minifigs from throughout the past couple decades. Vintage Star Wars and Harry Potter figurines, as well as more modern collectible minifigs line the cases. You could spend hours looking over all the minifigs available. In the back there are also mix-matched minifigs available for purchase and you can also create your own! There are also vintage and some newer sets in original box available for sale along the back wall, as well as a section of the back wall full of small baggies of special Lego accessories (like food pieces and books) available for $3/bag or 10 for $25. Amazing! The prices are comparable (and sometimes a bit less!) to what you'll find on eBay and Amazon, but they are much more accessible here and you'll have the owner's firsthand knowledge about the sets. Speaking of the owner, she's fantastic. She has immense knowledge of Lego sets old and new, and is happy to converse with customers. When I asked to see the Lego Tauntaun figurine in the front display case, she didn't skip a beat and got it out right away. I do love a fellow Star Wars fan! The Minifig Shop both sells and buys Legos, which is awesome. You can buy bricks in bulk by the pound, which I saw multiple adults sifting through. This is also amazing in case you are missing a specific piece from a set and need to find a replacement that won't cost an arm and a leg. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

The Minifig Shop is a great addition to the shopping scene in downtown Kirkwood. It is a locally-owned shop so those of you wanting to support small, local businesses should come check this place out! What does the Minifig Shop have to offer? A lot of mini figures you could spend a lot of money on to adorn your home with. This place is for children and adults alike! If you have that dream of building Lego communities and are wondering where you might start? Look no further than the Minifig Shop! They have themed Lego boxes lining the walls of their shop, books about Lego collections of popular franchise, loose Lego parts, stands for your mini Figures, already-built models to help you find your build-inspiration, and even tables for the children. We happened upon this place while looking for Christmas presents for the nephews. The owner was very pleasant and was working the storefront during our visit. I think their prices are comparable to the Lego store at the West County mall except you don't have to go into the mall if you don't really want to. I'm not quite sure where their parking is but this place is located close enough (a block or two away) from the public parking spots in downtown Kirkwood. The shop is organized, spacious, and well-lit. I especially adore the mini figures they have on display right at the check-out counter (priced $6-15 each). They have everything from Disney figures, Spongebobs to the more popular Marvel superheroes, Star Wars, and many more. I'm so thankful that this store exists in my city. Backstory: At the beginning of the pandemic when pretty much everyone was quarantining, we were struggling to find something to keep our toddlers' brain busy and active; we were searching for just about anything other than TV. One day, I remembered I had a bin in storage filled with LEGO from my childhood that we'd never pulled out before. Got it out and BOOM -- the toddler was instantly hooked. They especially took a liking to Minifigs. One day when driving through downtown Kirkwood we noticed that this new store popped up and decided to give it a try. Immediately blown away by the selection, the friendly staff and just this general feeling of "This is the coolest store I've ever been in". Our kid was immediately glued to the build your own minifig stations, along with all the cool themed minifigs in the case. I was glued to the bulk loose LEGO tables where you pick out whatever pieces you want and then pay by the weight. And my partner was glued to the chairs up by the front that allowed them to take a break and relax for a few minutes while we geeked out. In the past year I've spent countless hours digging through those bulk tables and saved hundred of dollars that would've been wasted buying from up-sellers on bricklink. I was worried that perhaps during a pandemic a store like this wouldn't be sustainable, but now there are doing a build out and expanding the store! Way to go Minifig Shop! This is a Lego lovers dream. SO many Lego sets of all types, tons of random bricks in bins, other Lego merch, extremely knowledgable staff, and of course, MINIFIGS in a quantity that is unfathomable. The staff can help you find something for your Lego loving friend or family member. I went recently to get some Ninjago minifigs for stocking stuffers, and the employee helped me pick out some great ones for my son as I have no knowledge about the show and which characters are popular, etc. I'm always happy to support this local biz! read more

Best used LEGO store I've ever been to. I have since moved away from St Louis but this place I remember quite fondly. Prices were quite fair, and the staff was very nice and helpful. When I wanted an uncommon raised baseplate they didn't have on display they were cool enough to dig one out of the back for me. Great place, highly recommended. read more

I absolutely love visiting the mini fig shop. I usually find what I need and if I can't find it the incredible staff help me out. You find that the staff at the mini fig shop is polite and knowledgeable about Lego. And very professional. I usually find something else I want to build or get a new idea for another build. And literally the best place to come for new or rare legos is the mini fig shop. My very favorite is the bulk tables, I could stand there for hours. Also, the location is wonderful, parking is good. This store is incredible. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They have Lego sets at prices comparable to or less than Amazon. They sell individual minifigs at very fair prices. They also have building areas where kids can build their creations. Legos are also sold by the pound, that you can pick out from large bins or they have prepackaged boxes or combos you can buy. We will be taking the kids here as an outing over Christmas break, and I already know they will not want to leave. read more

I stopped by here last week looking for some Lego phase one clones. Given how those figs can be on the more difficult side to find I msged ahead of time to make sure the place had them. The day before visiting they confirmed they had a few and the day of again. When I came in, I asked a worker for help to find them. I was then sent to a second worker to help me. This second worker, Parker I believe, was incredibly rude and had a horrendous attitude. He also instantly said they did not have the figures that I had as told they had only a few hours before. Only after I brought up the messages did he agree to actually go to the back and check and low and behold they had them. Overall the store has a great inventory but the attitude of the worker rly sours it. read more
