I could not have selected a better place for my 50th birthday celebration! The owner and staff were fantastic throughout the entire process, the drinks were delicious and strong, the location and atmosphere were ideal and beautiful, and a good time was had by all. I absolutely love this cocktail bar. Beautiful indoor space, with a small room upfront and beautiful spacious back area (with lots of cute plants!). The bartenders are super knowledgeable and really helpful in guiding you towards the right drink, whether on the menu or something else. Although it can get a little crowded, the bartenders also do a really great job at making sure everyone gets service in a timely fashion while still making really nice drinks. I came for NYE and was so impressed at the professionalism and just everything. They also have delicious adult jello shots, which are super fun :) read more

I just bar hopped around Uptown this past weekend, and this is hands down my favorite bar now. This is the place for you if you're looking for somewhere chill, maybe for a date or cocktails with friends. 1. First thing I noticed it that there was plenty of seating! This is refreshing because a couple other cocktail bars in the area have like 5 seats max. It's not a dancing bar so it's nice to not have to stand there. 2. All the bar tenders were cool. I believe our guy was Dan, and he was super nice and actually talked to us. The drinks there are so yummy *drools* and I definitely felt warm and fuzzy after two. Also he's not the type of bar tender that gets offended if you ask for a modification to the drink. Perfect place to go to indulge in delicious drinks before you head over to the club to settle for knocking back vodka tonics. 3. The ambiance was beautiful. Some don't care, but personally I was fawning over every little detail. The ceilings, the wall paper, the plants, the upholstery, the lighting. Even down to the toilet paper holders. Drink menu is Ahh-Mazing! The environment is super cute too! Parking could be an issue during happy hour times but worth a stop in for a drink. I like this bar because there are no TVs. This means no sports games, which means less rowdiness. This means it's a great bar for dates or meeting up with friends and talking. They play music, but it's not so loud that you can't hear your friends talking. I used to love this place! A true hidden gem. Ambiance is very nice, lots of chairs and great for small groups and intimate conversation. It's so pretty inside, I feel like I'm in a old movie. A+ to the interior designers everything looks flawless. Butttttt they changed their drink menu. AND THATS WHY I COME, to drink. Why? It was perfect. Doves in the Wind and Pull up to the Bumper where A1 cocktails. They were $12 bucks and worth every penny. I always left feeling good. I've been back twice since the new menu and the drinks sucked. I had 3 different ones and the only decent one is the tequila drink that has some herb on it. But I had to drink 3 just to get a buzz. WACK! Also, the new guy bartender and female manger are not welcoming at all. They are snappy and not attentive to their customers. My first time at the Miranda and I immediately was in awe of the ambience. I'm a sucker for a dim lit room and moody decor with lots of plants. Make sure you walk to the back to witness since there's a front bar area too. I came here for a Bumble date to enjoy drinks. They do not serve food but it's quaint and cozy that it doesn't need it - perfect pit stop for drinks and conversation. Also plus that it's pretty close to a bart station. It's smaller than your average bar so be mindful on a busy night there may or may not be seating if you want to stay for a long period of time. read more

We went early on a Tuesday night (8pm), the place had a medium sized crowd in the back area. The bar wait was way too long. Once we finally got our cocktails, they tasted poorly made. Especially the Foxy Corridor, my date didn't finish it, and after having a sip I could see why. The drink was tart with too much Aperol. We decided to cut our losses. After another long wait, I got the bill; I was charged for the wrong tab. I pointed out the mistake, and it was promptly corrected. Come to find out, I was only partially refunded for the other tab. This bar is awesome. I recommend not showing up in jeans and a t shirt (look, I'm traveling), but the space is beautiful and the cocktails delicious. Naturally I can't remember the drink I had but it involved bourbon and Benedictine. So, on point. Nice little beer selection and the nice bartender made my no alcohol gluten free aunt a ginger ale with lime concoction that she loved. The other bartender was super rude and I almost said that none of this group of Asians was on one tab or even together but whatever. I would totally come back for the ambiance and the drinks even if I was sure I would be insulted. It was like one bartender was Oakland and one was Chicago, where you can expect the people sort of hate being at work and serving you. It's why I love Chicago.
