I used to come here when it was Radio, the present day space is a far departure. I miss the pinball machines and dj booth. But, ever one to give all places a chance, I stopped in to check the vibe. Plenty of seating, great playlist and the bartender with the locs was very attentive and friendly. I started with the Caramel Mudslide, I loved that it came with a little duck but missed that it included whiskey cream. Wow, not my thing, it tasted too much like cinnamon. The bartender was kind enough to remake me a customized drink, and it was so yummy. Plus it came with another duck! Definitely worth the visit.

O M G! I LOOOOOVE this bar. It has such character and their cocktail menu is next level! Right in beautiful downtown area of Oakland. It's a must see if you're in the neighborhood. I mean who doesn't love and smile when you receive a drink with an adorable mini duck. Technically the margaritas do not automatically come with a cute mini duck but they obliged since I asked and my face lit up when I saw my finished cocktail. I had 2 and they were delish. The bar mgr. Damon is THE best. Super friendly and helpful even with dinner recommendations. And the music was rockin' on this particular evening. They were playing yacht rock. Nothing like a beautiful duck drink while listening to Michael McDonald. The patrons were friendly and the colors and decor was the coolest. Check them out!

Came for the ducks, stayed for the drinks. Came during hh on a Thursday so it was pretty empty which was nice for convos. The bartender was friendly when I inquired about the ducks. I'm all about it and got one floating in my cab, which sparked joy. Turns out not all drinks include ducks (mine didn't apparently) but the bartender saw how happy I was when I mentioned it that she let me keep both the floating duck and duck charm. Love the service! Spot is two floors and has a dive feel but not stuffy.

I have visited this bar twice and I love it! The vibe is always super chill, they play good music, and the bartenders are great! The drinks are always on point, I love their espresso martini and the floating duck on top is such a cute touch. I have recommended this place to a couple friends already.

All I have to say is WOW! This place is a far cry than what used to be the dive bar that was Radio. Little Bird is in a digital era where Radios don't exist and I couldn't be happier. The drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced, with HH from 4-6pm. Sarah, the bartender, was really friendly and I could tell that there were a few locals in attendance. Easy in and out as the bar is close to 12th street BART. Also in close proximity to food and Chinatown. Overall, a great experience and textured to come back! #yummycertified

First, this is a great bar for chilling & having a good solid drink. Excellent bartenders & vibe. But also, if you want to host a private party? The staff ROCKS. I've used a lot of venues around the bay area, & I haven't been treated this well in a long time. Jennifer was on top of everything & did an excellent job with the catering. On the night of the party, omg, the 3 bartenders were fan-freakin-tastic! Kept the drinks flowing, fun to chat with, & seemed to have a good time with us too. I'd been worried about having too many people for the size of the bar, but it was PERFECT. Never felt crowded. Great flow & room for dancing. Also, the colorful decor & lights really added to the party vibe. My guests raved about the place, the bartenders, the drinks, & the food. Highly recommended if you want to pop in for a cocktail or host a gathering!

Visited on a Friday around 5:30pm with a group of friends for happy hour. Bar had several other groups but plenty of space for others. Drinks: LB Martini - delicious briney and savory from the pickle juice, very smooth, the blue cheese olives were a nice touch and the little rubber ducky garnish made this a hit Birds of paradise - very sweet and candy like, didn't love this one but large range of options on the drink menu Service was excellent, friendly warm and welcoming, drinks were prepared fairly quickly as well. Overall an excellent spot for happy hour with particularly good martinis. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the Oakland area.

Little Bird has long been one of my favorite downtown Oakland hangouts, and I've dropped in plenty of times. Usually it's everything you want in a neighborhood bar: cozy yet lively, softly lit with playful bird-themed décor, and music that keeps the energy high without drowning out conversation. It's the rare spot where you can actually talk with friends and still feel the buzz of the room. Today started out the same way -- a friendly crowd, the place looking spotless, and that unmistakable Little Bird vibe. But the service completely missed the mark. Daniel, the bartender, wasn't just a little aloof; he was downright dismissive, which is a real shock given how warm and welcoming the staff usually are. When a bartender acts like they'd rather you weren't there, it drags the whole experience down fast. To make matters worse, the happy-hour pricing I've enjoyed many times before simply wasn't honored, and Daniel offered zero explanation. It felt careless and unprofessional, especially for a bar that typically prides itself on customer service. And while Little Bird doesn't serve food -- something I've always been fine with -- it wouldn't hurt to at least have some small snacks on hand. A bowl of nuts or chips would go a long way when you're lingering over drinks. I still love the atmosphere and location, and I know how good this bar can be when everyone's on their game. But today was not that day. With friendlier, more attentive service, Little Bird is easily a four- or five-star spot. Daniel's attitude and the pricing slip, though, made this visit a big step down from the stellar experiences I've had in the past. Here's hoping management takes note, because this place deserves better than what I saw behind the bar today.

Formally Radio Bar, I'm loving the make over of this place and new vibe. It's somewhat of a retro disco vibe with a play on birds, note the cute little rubber ducks that you can keep! We came around 7pm on a Friday and it was pretty empty. I hope they pick up because this place has a lot of potential! The staff (Hedo and Ian) were great! Super personable, attentive, gave great recommendations. The poblano juice in the cocktails were got was something I'd never had but I loved it. They don't have food here, but they do allow you to bring food which I think is really considerate. So maybe grab food at Oakland Street Food across the street and eat it at Little Bird with a tasty and unique cocktail and great company from the staff!

New bar on 13st. New paint and brighter lights changed it look for sure. Service was good snd the cocktails were decent. Check it out.

Fun, bird-themed bar. There will be a rubber ducky in your drink! The vibe is upscale divey? Is that a thing?! It was fun and the cocktails were good. Our bartender Sarah was awesome. Would definitely visit again.

When I went to close out my tab at the bar, the staff member who came over to help me gave me the dirtiest, impatient, pissed-off look that I've ever received in my life. It was as if I had kicked his dog and personally insulted him, his family and his entire generational line. When he gave me the payment device, he must have accidentally navigated away from correct screen because I didn't have any options to close out my tab (i.e. there was no tip screen, or place to request a receipt). I handed the device back to him and before I could point out the issue, he snatched the device away and rushed off. Knowing something was wrong, I waited at the counter for a few minutes for him to return. I raised the billing issue and his curt response was "you must have waited too long and the screen disappeared -- you're fine". I returned to my table knowing that something was off, but left with my friends since they needed to head out to a dinner reservation. After we had said our goodbyes to our friends outside the brewery, I shared the strange interaction I had closing out my tab with my wife, and as a precaution, she recommended that we head back to the brewery to try to close out the tab again, just in case something was overlooked. I thought this was a good idea, but this time, asked my wife to try to close out my tab, as I didn't want to experience the wrath of the impatient staff member again. To absolutely nobody's surprise, the tab was not closed out! This staff member is by far, the rudest individual that I've encountered in the service industry and should reconsider their employment if they hate customer interactions this much. Truly appalled by my experience and won't be coming back anytime soon. If management wants to investigate the issue further, the tab was opened at the outside bar at 8/14/26 4:23 PM, check #35, and was transacted on by three separate staff members: 1) first person who opened the tab was friendly 2) second person who added on the second round of drinks was the same rude individual who didn't correctly close out my tab later in the evening, and 3) the third staff member was the one who finally properly closed out the tab with my wife at 7:11 PM.
