Excellent cocktails at the top of Caroline Street in downtown Saratoga! A DJ played music as we sat at the bar and enjoyed cocktails. Formerly One Caroline, at One Caroline Street in the heart of Saratoga Springs, The Misfit offers a variety or beer and cocktails with a lively atmosphere. The crowd started to gather around 10:30 or 11pm and people enjoyed dancing around the bar. We tried a few cocktails from the menu, the Lavender Haze, Jessica Rabbit, and El Mariachi. Michelle the owner of Misfit, took a month to respond to her bad review. Amazing customer service. A month!!!! And she did not even bother to read the main objection to the complaint which her manager made a gender identity of two people with no clue of their identity. Was he making it on their clothing, on hair on what. Get your gender identity meter recalibrated. It is 2025! Skip this establishment and all of their biases!!! read more

Great vibe, amazing drinks and staff. Not your typical bar. To call The Misfit a bar is to do it a great disservice. This place is excitement for the senses. Let's talk cocktails first, your tried and true to some amazing seasonal options. What's nice about here is you don't drink cool we have a mocktail for you. Not a Shirley Temple or a water, and actual explosion of flavor that makes you question is this a drink drink? So you can bring a DD or a non-drinker for a great night out to hear some live music or a great DJ and they can sip a Punky Brewster and not feel like they are missing out. Please please stop in and see for yourself, you will not be disappointed. Classy without being stuffy. Be nice have fun or leave. read more

What a great place to go. I have tried a lot of their cocktails and none of them disappointed me. The Jessica Rabbit has to be my favorite. They have such a great atmosphere and fun look. I will definitely be going there again the next time I'm in town. read more

Divey cocktail bar. Cheap beer and good cocktail selection. But.... My buddy ordered Knob Creek on the rocks. The Knob Creek was $17. Ok. Bu the "rocks" were an up charge of $4. WTF??!!? Not sure if it is $4 per rock or $2 since e had two drinks and they recycled to glass and rock for the second drink. Maybe we need to come back in the winter and the ice will be free? read more

My fiancé and I came here to check it out being a new hot spot on Caroline St. We were super impressed with the great table service and the craft cocktails were so so amazing!!! Not to mention that the decor and vibe of the place was very welcoming, and fun. Love the amazing artwork on the walls. Very clean too. Highly recommend this gem! I have to emphasize again on the cocktails love the creativeness in the ingredients and the taste so yummy! read more

I've been here a handful of times now and all I can say is what an amazing bar! The staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable! The atmosphere is so upbeat and fun. The manager is wonderful and the selection of drinks are fun different and delicious! There isn't anything on the menu I wouldn't drink! It brings such a nice new vibe to Saratoga! What an incredible upgrade! This newly-opened bar on Caroline St. where the Cellar used to be is hip, modern, cool, and dare I say... sexy! The decor and atmosphere is inviting and intriguing and unlike any other spot I've seen in Saratoga. The beer selection is great, but where The Misfit really shines is their cocktails and mixed drinks! First of all, each drink has a fun name inspired by classic pop culture, which is so much fun. I've tried a number of the drinks, and the stand-outs for me include The Jessica Rabbit, Bougie B*tch, Doc Brown, and Wake Me Up Before You Go Go. If you're an aspiring influencer, you will be unable to resist the urge to photograph these beautiful and exciting drinks - let alone the fun signs and decorations. read more

The hostess/server was awesome: not pretentious and looking down her nose at us since we didn't have a reservation. She did say that she needed the table by 7 PM. No problem! That said, it was pretty busy for being early in the evening. Guests kept coming in as we were getting ready to depart. The food that we tried was very good: -the chips with crème fraîche were very nice, but I don't know that I would go out of my way for these again. I really enjoyed the chips themselves... very thin and light ...and quite salty (in a good way). A little bit of fish roe is mixed in for "extra saltiness" and a little bit of a fishy experience in the crème fraîche. -Brussel sprouts for me were the winner! Absolutely delicious and we added some chicken so that we'd have a little bit of protein. Grilled chicken was perfectly flavored and not dry at all. Brussels sprouts had just the right amount of char and umami. -flatbread was honestly my least favorite. We stuck with the basic burrata/Margherita pizza/flatbread, and after eating the brussels sprouts it just didn't hold up in terms of flavor. Some of the other options might be better if you're looking for more of a flavor punch.... but it was served steaming, hot, and freshly made. As more people showed up, it definitely got noisier... so prepare for a bit of a loud environment...pretty much the same situation in all downtown Saratoga restaurants these days. I will definitely go back and try some other items on the menu.

It was the kind of dinner that creates lasting memories, and for that, we are grateful. That said, I continue to struggle with the restaurant's à la carte pricing model. I fully understand that many high-end steakhouses operate this way, but I have never quite embraced the concept. Our Tomahawk steak cost $175 and arrived without a single side dish. The fries and broccolini sides you see here were both extra charges. To be clear, this is not a complaint about the quality of the food or the overall cost of the evening. We knew we were choosing a fine dining experience and were happy to pay for it. My concern is more philosophical. When a guest orders a premium steak, I believe a complete meal should accompany it, with opportunities to upgrade or substitute sides if desired. That approach would feel more hospitable and customer-friendly while still allowing the restaurant to offer customization and premium add-ons. None of this diminished what was otherwise a terrific evening, and I would gladly return. I simply think the dining experience would feel even more complete if the restaurant reconsidered the increasingly common practice of charging separately for every component of the meal. In short: excellent food, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere, memorable evening--just a pricing philosophy that I personally find difficult to embrace.
