I've been going to rc headquarters since I was a kid and now I take my kids there and enjoy seeing…read morethe excitement it brings them. There isn't a more knowledgeable staff at any rc store in san antonio hands down. The selection of rc vehicles covers all types from planes, to boats, to cars, helicopters, drones, off-road trucks to crawlers. Best selection available in my opinion. I've bought atleast 20 vehicles from them and you can't beat the prices. Best value period

Well, we wanted to patron this place, even bought an RC from them. But, they don't update their…read morewebsite calendar, so it's a crap-shoot on the weekends if you can free run or not. Today my son and I wasted 2 hours of drive time from Austin and back because RCHQ didn't take the time to list a huge mini-z event on their website calendar. Event calendars are useless unless they are updated. Lesson, call first or just don't go... we won't be going again. Also, they now cater ONLY to Mini-z racers on the weekend, which means you won't be able to run your mini-b or mini-t RCs like you use to (except on bad off days like Monday and Tuesday which is BS). They also sell rock crawlers and bashers, but no real support or place to practice or run them etc. So you are better off buying online for those types of RCs as you'll get better deals. Also, next to no crawler or basher parts, even for the RCs they sell. We'll just buy our Arrma Kraton parts online and not waste our time at RCHQ. We were there to run our mini-b and buy new tires, LiPo battery, and telemetry sensor for jumps. Now we'll just buy those online. My son was so disappointed when we got there that he didn't want to watch the mini-z competition or buy anything from them. He said 'f-this place!' which was my exact sentiment. Lastly, the bald guy behind the counter disparaged the very same RC we bought from that store. They had no problem selling us the Mini-b... but then diss it when we brought it back in-store. Not the best idea to retain customers or sell upgrades. If I ran my business like this, I'd be out of business. Rolling Oaks Mall is practically a dead-mall at this point, so I'm expecting the niche products, poor offering, bad location, and rudeness (pretentiousness) will end this store soon. We were willing to drive out-of-our-way to spend our money at their store, but now we are not. I'd suspect my overall advice on this is just not to bother. Buy online, make your own track or use a parking lot, and just don't waste your time. No value in their current offering and mode.

I never realized how many Lego Star Wars, Disney, DC and Marvel figurines there really are, but this place seems to have them all. For $7.99 you can fill up a small container with whatever pieces you desire from the Lego fill up station or go to the medium size for $16.99. Maybe that's not enough. You can go even bigger and leave with a large bag for 34.99 and have a Lego party. They also sell individual characters ranging from low to $30 for the more rare characters. They have a most impressive section of Star Wars sets and my favorite item on display was the Death Star from Return of the Jedi. Coming up for second place on esthetically pleasing would have to be the huge pirate ship and the Joker coaster looked like a fun build. We were greeted on arrival and asked if we needed any help finding anything in particular. We let him know we were just checking out Star Wars goodies and the like and he left us to our browsing as I like it. This is a great store to get lost in, and I will soon return.

I went to Bricks & Minifigs to sell a vintage LEGO Star Wars set from the 1990s. Before completing…read morethe transaction, I was told they would pay me the full amount that was quoted to me. I agreed to sell the set based on that amount. Instead, when the transaction was completed, I was paid only 10% of the amount I had been told I would receive. That's not a minor difference or a negotiation over the value of a used LEGO set. That's a 90% reduction from the amount I was told I would be paid. I immediately objected and wanted my Star Wars set back, but they refused to return it. At that point I was extremely frustrated because I had agreed to the transaction based on the original amount I was quoted. Had I been told beforehand that I was only going to receive 10% of that amount, I obviously would not have agreed to sell it. I completely understand that Bricks & Minifigs is a resale business and needs to buy LEGO below market value to make a profit. That's not what I'm complaining about. The issue is being told one amount, agreeing to sell based on that amount, receiving only 10% of it, and then being refused when I asked to undo the transaction. If you're selling valuable or vintage LEGO, know exactly what you're agreeing to before handing over your set. Get the offer clearly confirmed and make sure the amount you're actually being paid matches the amount you were quoted. Based on this experience, I would not trust Bricks & Minifigs with another valuable LEGO set, and I would strongly recommend that other sellers be extremely careful.
