Aloha Yelpers! So,…read moreI booked an appointment last night (9/10/17) at 11:04 p.m. with Lavilash by Janice for today (9/11/17) at 11:00 a.m. to have my lashes done. I received a text at 9:47 a.m. from Lavilash by Janice (9/11/17) saying that the individual I booked with was not available until 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. and so they asked if I could reschedule. I politely told them that 12:30 p.m. would be fine (meanwhile keep in mind I am a client driving from Hilo so I had to be ready and on the road at 9:00 a.m. to make it to my appt. at 11:00 a.m....which had now been postponed to 12:30 p.m.). Either way I was excited so I was willing to wait and just did a little shopping while I waited. Now...everything about my lash appointment was good (I thought) until I got home and later realized there was eyelash adhesive in my hair. There is a section of my hair that is stuck together and there is no way of getting this out. For all of you ladies keep in mind I had all of my hair in a bun so how the lash technician got this in my hair blows my mind. The worst part is I have really long curly hair and now I have to chop it off. To top this off it was obvious that the lash technician knew that she got this in my hair because of the way the hair was stuck together. It was like she tried to wipe it off but couldn't get it out and so instead of telling me she just sent me on my merry way. I spent $200+ dollars and left a very nice tip only to get home and find glue in my hair. I'm honestly really disappointed.

They were super accommodating booking us a couples massage with not too much advance notice. Our therapists took time to really hear what was bothering us and what hurt and they went to town on us! Teresa massaged my husband and he said that all he wanted was a soothing massage to fall asleep too. Well Teresa certainly provided and he left light as air and super refreshed. I had Amanda as my therapist and man, she got to one area of pain, worked it out in about 10 minutes and my 3 years of back pain felt like it had never been there! I was crying on the table because after 3 years in pain, being pain free is an experience I wasn't expecting! I have gone to SO many different places where the therapist did deep pressure but never got to the area right or didn't get something connected "here" that would free the pain "there". Intuitive doesn't even give Amanda justice. She's intuitive and extremely talented. She told me she has 17 years experience with emphasis working with sports injuries and it shows! Literally the best massage I have ever had in my life. Total game changer. Now I have to fly to Hawaii to receive that type of treatment again! Amanda worked hard the whole time and got into areas I didn't even know needed to be addressed but my eyes are opened up in a new way to what is going on with my body. Best of all, he uses this particular brand - Davines mask hair color the last time I went in January 2025. My hair is so healthy and the color has lasted so long! I moved back to the mainland and so bummed I can't get my hair done by him so I reached out and asked him what brand of color he used.
