After having ADT for 3 years, and satisfying our commitment with them, and paying for the equipment that ADT installed, in our monthly rate, we called the same saleswoman. She arrived and told us that she doesnt endorse ADT anymore and she now works for a better company, and we'd benefit switching over to them and their system named Affinity Integrated Solutions. We were told that it works the same as ADT did and we'd pay for our upgrades with our monthly subscription and it would be just a couple of dollars more than ADT a month. With the new system all our doors would still be armed, as well as a new video doorbell. She added a new camera for our driveway and back patio, as well as all of our windows. AGAIN, we were told that a 3 year monitoring commitment was needed to pay for these upgrades. Sounds great??? 2 months after the installation a charge was on our checking account from a finance company. Upon some searching here and there we found out that NOTHING she had told us was the truth. TRUTH is, we now have a 10 year, yes 10 year, 120-month loan, at 11.99%, PLUS a monitoring charge of $36.99 a month for 39 months. NEVER was the word FINANCE, or INTEREST RATE ever mentioned or even thought of!!!! We trusted this woman and considered her a friend. Running a search of my e mails I found an e mail from the finance company in my spam file that was sent to me 5 days after we authorized our ADT "FRIEND" to upgrade our home. We would have had been able to cancel all of this within-in 3 days, but didn't know until I read this e mail 2 weeks later. Never were we given a copy of our monitoring agreement which we were told we would receive via text and e mail with in 24 hours, which we never did. we called and spoke to the woman who betrayed us and sold us this and she in turn had her boss contact us. He tried to make things right by paying us $520, and 6 months free monitoring services. BUT we're still stuck with a 10 year note at 11.99% We are senior citizens on a fixed social security income, I'm 70 years old and will have this bill until the age of 80. I use to look forward to my twilight years but now afraid of my future and that of my senior wife. This has and will put a strain on us for the next 10 years plus. PLEASE beware of this company trying to win you over and giving you the world!!!!! It's despicable what this company does and how they run their business. BEWARE!!!!!!!!! ALWAYS have them print out what you are signing, do not do a docu-sign and just click where they tell you to click! They said we had no options because we signed a contract. So we had asked them to come and Install this into our apartment in July 2016 They didn't show up and to be honest our building has security so we dont need it. So I then called a few times to see if we could get the medical device for my Dad instead of paying for Life line and they turned me down. They were not willing to change and comprise so that it was a win win for both so i sent back the equipment and they sent us to the credit bureau for not paying. Why would you pay for something you dont have installed and they were not willing to change to a medical device . They never told me that you can only record 1000 clips a month- hello!, that's why I bought the camera I want everything recorded! The clips are only seconds long and your allowed only 1000/month! Then they said you need to change the sensitivity settings so it doesn't record everything only larger objects...again, I didn't want to miss anything that's why I want the cameras! The front doorbell camera records only when you press the doorbell! Hello what if I wanted to see someone in my yard or porch or if something happen? They said you can change sensitivity setting but you can't go over 1000 clips so it's not practical! Also, the FD camera is ugly and broke in only 7 days. I called IT to reset and the guy, Ron, was really rude and said he would send out a tech in 3 days!!! Really! The camera is blinking red and green like crazy all night and day!! This is ridiculous! And no recording until the tech comes. They can't reset anything over the phone??? They said it was a network issue! I asked to speak to manager and he told me I would need to call tomorrow am because no one was in! I would never recommend this company- and the only reason I kept them is we bought a house with the system set up and they had a 3 year contract. It wasn't my top option, but I figured I would try them. There equipment was ok the first year but the FD alarm just occasionally worked after numerous attempts to fix it and techs coming to my home I finally got frustrated and decided to upgrade to their new technology(still have to pay $150). Regardless, I could go on but basically these guys are unethical and I would never recommend them!!
