We wanted to share our great experience with The Mulch Store for our spring yard update this year. In the past we had been satisfied with their mulch delivery-only, where we installed the mulch ourselves. But with the plan to add 20 yards of mulch this year, Mitch decided to let the pros at The Mulch Store do both the delivery and installation, and we are very satisfied. The quality of the cedar mulch was great, then the fast professional installation and the quality of their workmanship was unbeatable. What would typically take us several days to install, their team of three people got the full job done, front and back, in less than 4 hours. We don't think we ever got it this evenly dispersed and beautiful- and definitely not in one day! Their truck hauler was great, filling the wheelbarrows directly from the truck, so the huge pile that usually covers half of our driveway was nonexistent. It's interesting, I've never heard of this place until my neighbor received a delivery on her driveway and the head of a baby deer was included with the mulch. I am not surprised after what I experienced today. This employee found the need to cut in front of a whole line of people at a drive thru with his truck and trailer. Mulch arrived on time and in correct quantity. Driver was extremely professional and courteous. My concern is the mulch is a very light brown. Not too impressed with the color. Should be darker as the photos on their website made it appear. Was more noticeable when seeing the neighbor's rich brown colors. read more

UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE and MULCH! I will never again spread my own mulch OR order it from any other company. The quality of the triple cut mulch from The Mulch Store is far superior to any others my landscapers have used in the past. They arrived quickly and my plant beds were transformed with 16 yards of mulch within a few hours! This would have otherwise taken us 2 days to lay down. The professional equipment they have made the job much more efficient. Paid for cedar mulch but received pine, (ground up 2x4s with a little cedar mixed in for scent.) Just mulched this spring and it already needs re-mulching. By their reviews, they may be great at landscaping, but appears that they scam people on the mulch. I will not be back. read more

Placed order for 9 yards of Mulch. A few days later wanted to cancel the order. Called their number and spoke to a lady who told me that she could not do it and I needed to call the Auburn Hills location and cancel. As far as I could see there was no Auburn Hills location so I went back to their website and copied the order from the email I received by them and pasted it to another email telling them to cancel the order. The next day I get home and there is 9 yards of Mulch waiting for me. I called and spoke with the lady. She seemed so lost when speaking with her but she said she would leave her boss the message about my situation. Haven't heard from him. This business is EXTREEMLY poor in communication with customers. In fact there is no communication. I will NEVER AGAIN purchase any product from them. I will go buy bags at Home Depot first, even if it's 200 bags. read more

Not a good experience. Im a second timer with this company, first time was non eventful so this year i reordered a smaller load. After waiting some 9ish hours and mulch hadn't come, I called. They wont let you pick a window or time slot, your supposed to just wait all day.... but they give a option on order form that they will call you an hour before arriving. So I asked for that, it didnt happen. As a property owner, we wanted to ensure all went well with delivery as is our right, and we could help driver with backing on to the tarp on the drive. We had a 2nd tarp if needed as well. Driver did not call... just dumped it , dumping the end of the bucket 4-5 feetish onto driveway, as he didnt backup far enough. Then he just left. This was almost 2 hours after I had called to see if they were coming at all. They told me yea, at some point after he did another delivery. Not respectful of my time.. I saw the driver was in the cul de sac down the street just sitting there so I went over and asked why he didnt call as he made a bit of a mess that could've been avoided. He became all angry and started yelling at me as if I asked for something unreasonable. Why offer this on order form if staff wont do it, I wonder???!! I took his picture as I didn't feel safe with his tone and left. We wont order from here again as they didnt demonstrate any customer respect or professionalism in their service. There are too many other good places out there who deserve the business. read more
