An amazing interactive experience. I had an incredible time. There is twists and turns, audience participation, tons of laughs, and the challenge of solving the case. My friend and I love to meet new people and this show was perfect for that. You have to talk to as many people as possible to solve the case. So we were meeting new people throughout the night. They give you Murder Mystery Company Money to bribe each other for additional information. The money has questions that you can ask. It made it so easy to talk to people. Almost like a built in "ice breaker" to start conversations. We also got to eat and drink while the show was happening which was really awesome. A dinner and show that is actually interactive. I can't say enough nice things about this experience. The actors said that they do public ticketed shows but also private shows where they can even come to your house. I am so excited to call the Murder Mystery Company to set up a show for just my friends and family. I have a BDAY coming up, I already know it is going to be a killer night. LOL! read more

Wow. How bad can it be? First of all, it's in a lodge. Second of all, it started 20 minutes late. Third of all, show was horrible. Not engaging at all. Bad acting like REALLY BAD. It sounded like dying cats in an alley or dirtbags whining. We didn't even stay for our food, literally got up and left and ate down the street at a restaurant with tablecloths and napkins and glasses! Not paper cups thank you!!!!! We had the best experience! We used MMC for my sister's bachelorette party. They were so responsive by phone and email and walked me through every step in planning. I spoke to Adam Lindy several times on the phone and he was great to work with. Our actor, Collin, was incredible. He made the whole night so much fun. He worked with us, laughed at us, casted everyone in their roles so perfectly, and totally rolled with the punches. Our whole group couldn't stop talking about how much fun we had. Not to mention, Collin drove all the way out to our house about 2 hours away. 10/10!!! read more

I hired this company to do a Zoom murder mystery for my birthday. I was completely underwhelmed and irritated by their lack of delivery of the most basic of expectations. First of all, I spent $300 on an experience that felt worth only a fraction of that price. For that amount of money, I expected it to at least even be mentioned that the reason we had gathered was in celebration of a birthday. Nope. Not a single mention of it being a birthday party. Not even a simple "happy birthday" from the host! (And yes, they WERE made aware in advance that this was a birthday celebration). Secondly, I really expected the actor to be super charismatic and in charge. He did the job fine as far as doing what he was supposed to do to get us from point A to point B, but his performance was far more laid back than I'd expected. For $300 I thought I was getting an actor who would take the reins, acknowledge it was a birthday gathering, and really pull us into the game with his performance and leadership. I purposely selected the Murder Mystery Company over other companies that were half the price because I trusted that the experience would be close to what I had experienced when I went to their in-person 80s murder mystery at the St. George Theater the previous year. Now, I understand that in-person events are going to be more immersive than virtual, that's a given. But all the more reason to have your actors really take the reins and make the participants feel special and immersed in something, rather than simply letting the video do the bulk of the work. He just didn't deliver a performance that made me feel like he was excited to really pull us into this experience. It felt like he was a guy sitting in front of a zoom background, going off a script. Third, the storyline was difficult to follow -- very complicated. My entire group of 11 people all talked after the event and shared this opinion, and I felt crappy that they didn't enjoy it as much as they should have and could have had it been run better, and smarter. We had fun only because we got to see each other be in character, but for that matter I could've EASILY run a murder mystery event myself with one of those $20 murder mystery games you can find online. So incredibly disappointed in everything, and now out $300. I explained all of the above in an email to the manager and asked if there was any way they could offer a partial refund of an amount that they deemed reasonable and fair. They said no. It's 7:40pm now, supposelly the show starts at 7:00pm. My friends and I arrived at the location at 7pm and they serverved a salad as soon as we were seated. The salad contained 11 pieces of lettuce, half of cherry tomato, 3 slices of red onions. 40 minutes later no waiter came by to get our drinks order or anu kind order. All I can say this is extremely badly organized. Not sure if is worth wasting the time for an event that you'll left seated on your table for 40 minutes unattended. read more

As other reviews said, we arrived on time (7pm) and the show did not start until 7:40. The event ended at 9:15 and our food arrived at 9pm - for some reason half the room was on dessert while my half of the room had not even received their mains. Horrible service, after asking three times for a glass of water I finally got it myself. The venue was also dirty and did not match the website pictures. Now about the event - not at all worth the money! I was looking for a murder mystery with a fun backstory and a clever mystery to figure out. What I got was bad acting, not funny jokes, a corny backstory, and cheap props. I'm not looking for anything over the top, just to be entertained on my one night out a week. This was definitely a poor choice. read more

It was a lot of fun, and I would do it again. I confess though, everyone at our table was a little confused as to what we were supposed to do. There were cards we were supposed to read and we were supposed to ask questions at other tables, but I'm still unclear on how the whole thing was supposed to work. I think we were supposed to narrow down our suspects through the process of elimination. Most of the people at our table were a little shy or didn't want to walk around to other tables. This was definitely an experience. My boyfriend took me here on a Saturday evening as an early birthday gift. I was a sold out show. I was much fun.. and entertaining..they preferred for us to dress vintage in which we did.. it helps you get into character. Now here's why I gave 3 stars. My boyfriend pay an extra $30 per ticket for VIP seating. I would recommend NO ONE do what he did. There was no VIP seating. We was seating in the middle of 4 other people that we did not know. Mind you this was all at 1 table. There is no stage. Also your not really watching a show, everyone is participating in the act as the actors walk around (because there is no stage). The food was limited.. the drinks was a waste of money and they are over priced ( pre- gaming is highly recommended). The dessert was terrible!!!!!!! it was a microwave brownie.. very dry.. very nasty... oh and the appetizer lol was 5 lettuces of salad. Sigh... If they put a little bit more time into there good and drinks this place could've been 5 stars for me... The pictures that they have on there site is not what it seems. They make it look very big when its really small and tight smh. read more

What a fun night! My sister and bought me tickets to a murder mystery dinner for Christmas and we waited until the weather got better to attend. We had a blast! The event was so organized and so much fun. It was in the upstairs of a restaurant with 8 tables and tables were split up into teams, so we sat and had to team up with perfect strangers to solve the mystery. It was amazing and we are already planning our next event. My only complaint is about the restaurant itself (see next review) but that had nothing to do with the fantastic work of The Murder Mystery Company! read more

I thought this was going to be more of a dinner theatre but I was definitely wrong. I should have known by the plastic table cloths and cups that this was going to be a bad night. It was more like an improv interactive murder mystery. The actors were horrible, especially the main guy. He sounded like he was drunk half the time and couldn't get out the words. The reasons for the 2 stars was that the food was edible. The wait staff was horrible! If you asked them a question they just ignored you. At the end they ask for tips for the wait staff and the actors. Yes the actors too! Really?? That's crazy! Never again, lesson learned! read more

Tickets are so expensive and only a small selection of dates and times available. You AREN'T able to reschedule your dinner free even if its months in advance, a 15 dollar charge PER ticket is added. I can't even make the show and I'm happy about it now since they have terrible service. They weren't even willing to help us out. read more
