This allowed me to go with the flow and enjoy the show for the calamity it was. Nonetheless I can understand, those who do not necessarily enjoy this genre of entertainment. I do improvisation as part of my living and Mr. Eaton showed masterful control in keeping an audience of all ages and backgrounds immersed in his show. I was selected as a volunteer for the first piece of mentalism, which was an impressive demonstration of skill. Throughout the show, he incorporated many volunteers of all ages, but was never pushy about it. He seemed to have a knack for finding just the right volunteer to fit each part of the show, so no one was reluctant or embarrassed. Some mentalism shows are dry, or dark, or underwhelming. This show was the opposite -- funny, engaging, and impressive. It's a solid value for 90 minutes of entertainment for adults or kids.

Brought the family to see Stomp over the weekend and it was a blast! Before I get to the actual show (and what some may view as a spoiler), lets talk location. It's right there on 2nd Ave bet 7th and 8th near St Marks, so lots of dining within walking distance, pretty much any type of cuisine you can want. You can find street parking, depending on the day/time of show, so if you don't feel like paying for a deck, arrive early to search for a spot and make sure you read the signs to avoid a ticket. The venue is small, but seeing as the show has been around for 30 years, you shouldn't have a hard time getting tickets. What's really nice is, when we got there for our matinee show on Sunday, they had extra seats right up front that they upgraded us for free to! Now on to the show (SPOILER ALERT)! If you didn't know already, Stomp is basically a musical where no regular instruments are used, everyday objects you find all over like brooms, garbage bins, lighters, luggage, and newspapers are used to make noises into song. With that said, it is very loud! There is also quite a bit of laughter as some characters on stage are humorous and there is some audience participation as well, so if you like that, listen for your cue to join in. Definitely a show for all ages if you like music. I'd be happy to see it again!

Not only did Steve have great charisma and story telling skills, he also showcased a plethora of insane tricks that had the whole crowd including myself, in a state of shock. However for what I did see, Bane knocked it out of the water. The actors were top notch and really played up their characters. The environment was crazy immersive and scary. We watched the Mercy TV count rise as we stood in line and it totally freaked us all out. Once inside, we can hear people screaming from the rooms next to us and it was a cool feeling all around. I'm suped to come back next year and check out Bane with full lighting and I'm excited about their events to come. We purchased our tickets online in advance, and got to the site pretty easily. We got on line and read the posted rules before walking into the attraction. The attraction itself is pretty creative, with a few things I haven't seen in other haunted houses. But the quitter counter, which displayed the number of guests who quit in fear, made it seem scarier than it actually was. It was honestly a bit too dark in there to see the costumes/makeup of the actors. The majority of the scares were jump scares.
