This was the first record shop I've ever visited that had my contemporary jams on vinyl at the ready & I was just in hog heaven!! I'm new at the record game, having recently been feeling my experience of an album isn't full without the beautiful album art which is such a special part of the story that is only a tiny thumbnail when I listen on Spotify, so I now feel compelled to hold the album & really vibe with it! So anyway most record shops have amazing collections of older records, which makes sense because that's the way music was done back in the day, but I'm more of a modern woman at the moment wanting to slap my indie beats, so I'm so grateful for what Revolver Records is offering! They did have older records too, all in pristine condition! Really beautiful selection. Other notes: Connected to bar Magnolia & coffee shop Jitterbug that will be opening in 2-3 weeks. Got to have a taste of the craft beer being offered with the super nice owners. I believe I heard they'll be having trivia nights, comedy shows & live performances there, which would be super cool because it'd make for some smaller, intimate shows which I love!! It's not worth it. And the entire mall knows her. She visits other stores to gossip abt her fellow co-workers and FYE. Complete cringe vibes. She told my girls, w/out prompting, abt love triangles in the store, whose "banging" who, her personal mental struggles, etc, all while wearing what equates to a sports bra and jeggings - too much to see for a retail corporation employee and my girls were customers, not mall employees. I'm dumbfounded and the only conclusion is that FYE is on it's way to retail R.I.P. #ick

And it's pretty much the best place ever. Not only is the used & new vinyl & cd selection comparable to that of record stores in any hip enclave of any big city or college town, but it's also a major social destination. It is the one place left where music lovers gather, and spend hours hanging out and listening to tunes. I've met some of my best friends there, and it is where I run into old friends I haven't seen for ages. Don't let this treasured establishment slip away.
