Never accountable, its always someone else's fault. I waited a few months to leave this review, but I think prospective customers should be aware. I was told that my credit card would be billed only for four lessons, $120. I brought up my concerns of leaving my credit card on file, as we only wanted four lessons to start. I was told clearly I would only be charged for the four lessons. They continued charging me after the four lessons and would not refund us. They also charged my card for purchases not made by my family, and only when I brought printed out bank statements did they acknowledge their mistake. They blame customers very often and I have not seen any flexibility. Overall, the facility is constantly falling apart. Paint chipping from the walls left on the floor, used bandaids on the floor, hair clumps around the pool, constant slippery puddles, rusty water fountains and showers that don't work. They've cut every possible corner to save cents. During our four lessons the swimming pool area was over 100 degrees, the windows were fogged beyond view and the temperature change to the locker room was at least 50 degrees difference. The showers constantly shift from boiling to freezing, there are no water bottle refill stations (only water bottles for sale) and the changing area curtains do not properly close. I paid an obscene amount for private lessons for my autistic son and watched an untrained instructor wrestle with my son for twenty minutes. Not a single aquatic skill taught. We rearranged our schedules for makeup classes, not an easy task, only for them to be cancelled for pool cleaning. I understand accidents happen, but with such limited extra time they should give refunds or have some other policy in place. When I suggested this I was flatly told, "You agreed to the policy when you signed up". Overall, I would not recommend this swim school. They will try to squeeze every cent they can from customers, they are so rigid on the skills to keep your child in the same level for longer and there is never accountability for their mistakes. The StarBaby program does not teach your child how to swim. You can dunk them underwater, sing songs and back float in your bathtub for the same experience. We were there for a month and watched the prices increase constantly. I strongly believe the only reason they have such a high score of reviews is because they delete bad reviews!

I have no complaints with the behind the wheel instructors. Lisa (New Lenox) in particular is…read morewonderful, very accommodating and great with the kids. I would give her all 5 stars, but the website and scheduling experience is a disaster. Because they try and operate the same site with several states it is like reading a bad novel to figure out where the information relevant to your area and your student is at on the website. Scheduling is an absolute joke, if you don't login on the day the times are released it becomes really hard to get times, you also can only book two lessons at a time if you are lucky. They have a default of 2 weeks to schedule them apart which means for 4 plus months you are managing this process. I just called to schedule the road test thru them yesterday and the phones were down for the day, called back today at noon and they don't take calls during lunch. finally got someone on the phone after 10 minutes and they informed me i can only book the road test if i have his permit in front of me. They make this way too difficult and for the money makes it even worse that they have such bad technology to support a process that does not help the customer at all. In summary look for other places that offer these services because this one is not consumer friendly. Pat

Enrolled our child over the summer of 2024. Fast track classes since course was offered over 4…read moreweeks as opposed to the semester long period typically of high school- which we thought would be better. Well, read on. Child states classes were incredibly boring (instructor was lazy and rolled around in his chair, while teaching) and videos were "out of touch". It did not captivate my child's attention nor did it pique any interest in learning. We enrolled our child in this class for drivers education. He turned 16 in late spring. Classroom is sufficient but the students state "an old fat man that never stands up but rolls around on his office chair". Incredibly boring and monotone. Part of the class includes a "behind the wheel" driving with the instructor. Scheduling "behind the wheel" (BTW) instructor times was, to say the LEAST, one of the worst and most horrific experiences ever! EVER!! Instructions were very unclear on how to schedule - no phone calls allowed, only texts. This could be perceived as innovative however it was in fact obnoxious! Responses to texts were untimely (up to 10 hours later), during hours "outside of normal busier hours" and inconsistent, ie no response after several follow-ups). The scheduler was mean, rude, uncooperative, prejudiced and lacked any sense of decency. She refused to give out her name, so henceforth will be known as "Karen". Karen claimed that students needed to finish class work before being scheduled for BTW and, that they would need to practice driving before BTW scheduling occurred. WTF!! - I thought the instructors were to teach them with their specially equipped cars(brake on the instructors side)!!! That's why we send them to driving school - to learn how to drive with equipment that's not accessible to the public!!! We as parents do not have the proper automobiles that are equipped-the instructors should be taking this on as that is what we pay them for!! We as parents have the responsibility to hone our children's BTW experience after the basic concepts are taught! Seems this school is backwards and doesn't want to be held accountable for the outcome and wants the students that have driving experience! I do not recommend this school at all if you want to get your children licensed for the first time. It was not very expensive but I suppose, you get what you pay for. Never, ever have I encountered such terrible customer service from a person; I do not understand how this business still exists!! Whether it's "Ken's Driving School" or "1st Breese" (Breeze?) -- stay far away.
