Friendly service and repair was done right and in a timely manner! Took a bass guitar there to fix.

Not a pressure sale place. Great room and variety. Very knowledgeable and my son loves taking drum lessons there.

She offers to give a credit for the next month but still wants paid at the beginning of the month so now you have paid her in advance for more lessons and she still owes for the previous month. She repeatedly cancels last minute and reschedules so many times that it is hard to keep track of how many lessons she still owes. She inconveniences everyone with her poor communication skills and her lack of regard for anyone else's schedule but her own. The final straw was when she just didn't show up for a lesson at all. This was an hour and a half lesson that she owed us due to her numerous concellations in the past. She never apologized for the incredible inconvenience it caused our family. When I asked her to give me a refund she stated that her, "studio policy" was that she doesn't give refunds. She had already refused to reschedule the lesson and just decided that she was going to keep the money. She is disappointing as a music teacher. She does not give guidance because she is too pre occupied on her cell phone DURING the voice lesson to give the child the undivided attention that the parent is paying for. Final word...UNPROFESSIONAL, THIEF!

I felt overwhelmed and didn't even know what questions to ask. Cali was awesome! She was straight forward and transparent. She told us about the added fees and what to expect. Cali talked us through the process and helped us make an educated decision. We were in and out within 20 minutes. I feel confident in the decisions we made and the money we spent. What a great local business. I will make sure and continue to support Johnny's Music!

Do not take your flute or woodwind here! I wanted to be able to write a great review, but found…read morethat they are extremely nice... liars. I found out too late that nearly all of those great reviews on Google are actually for the Music Shoppe which was located on Erie. The previous owner who was mainly the one who fixed woodwinds died in 2021, and Johnny didn't open his own shop until January of 2022, but kept all of the reviews for the other store. I was told by a music store that our flute needed to be repadded. Johnny assured me that he was able to do it, but after over 200 dollars, 4 trips, and several lies later, I would never recommend his services for band instruments. Please do yourself a favor and take them to a store that specializes in band instruments, even if it costs a little more. When we first went to pick up the "completely overhauled" flute, he gushed about how it was "a beast" and how easily his flute teacher was able to play it. My daughter, who is an excellent flutist, was not even able to make it work. In fact, one of the pads completely fell out while we were there! Needless to say, we went home without our flute that day, which meant another trip. The second time, since it did play, we took it home, only to have another pad fall out with the next week, which meant another trip. By the last time we picked up the flute, our "beast" had turned into a "bad horn" that was just old and worn out. We were told in so many words that he couldn't really do any more for us, and don't expect it to last very long. It has not played well since, so my daughter has been using my old flute to get by. Last week, I finally took it to a reputable music shop in Canton. Imagine my shock when I was told that it is a good flute, but the person who put the pads in didn't know what he was doing! I will have to pay to have it completely repadded, meaning that I totally wasted all of that money and time. Hopefully, my experience will save some other customer some frustration!

I have had two "noteworthy" - no pun intended being a music store- experiences with Pellegrino…read moreMusic. Most recently, I bought a new (used) piano. I began my search at Pellegrino, because they have a large selection of used pianos. I came upon the Kawai model and knew it was the piano I really wanted. Turns out, Pellegrino had sold it as a new piano in the 1990s, and was now consignmenting it for the original owners. The instrument was in excellent condition, and their price was fair. Pellegrino also agreed to take and dispose of my old piano. Totally enjoying my new instrument. There was a significant problem, however, with delivery. I had measured my old piano, the space where it was going in my home, and my door frame. The "new" one was within an inch of the old piano size wise. There shouldn't have been any issue with delivery. The team they sent could not manage the weight of the piano, and almost dropped it ! Very thankfully, I was having new furniture delivered that same day, and the deliverymen from the furniture company actually were the ones who successfully brought the piano into my house. The men from Pellegrino did not even thank the furniture movers for their help. When I went back to Pellegrino shortly after delivery (to buy some sheet music) I informed the owner in person of what had happened with delivery. I got no response - not an apology or any sense of concern. I would have given five stars without the delivery hitch. It would have been four stars if the owner had taken some responsibility for what happened. It makes me wonder what would have happened if the piano had actually been damaged by their delivery team. So, overall, I am thrilled and pleased with the piano, but the customer service/delivery is disappointing. We also had previously rented/leased to own my daughter's clarinet through Pellegrino when she in middle school band. This was a totally successful experience, and we even upgraded to a better instrument as my daughter's skill level and dedication increased.
